Some try to alter reality by calling it «green», others — mostly those addicted to crashing waves — name it «surf», but you know just as well as I do, that the actual name of the
rainy season in Phuket, is «low».
And isn’t it why we love it? Empty roads, empty beaches, more space for both local
and expat community to live their lives unobstructed by the hustle and bustle of tourism?
For those few, rainy months, Phuket is a bit less for short-term visitors and a bit more for
people who call it home.
True, the sun, at times, might be nowhere to be seen, but fantastic restaurants, events
and people, are still here. It’s them what makes Phuket the best place under the sun (or
clouds) and they are what we focus on in this issue of RL. Keep on reading to make the low
seasons the highlight of your island life.
