WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD I’m travelling and don’t stop me. I haven’t gone too far, I’ve travelled thousands of miles and those miles take me back to myself. They give me confidence. They take me back to my true self. But that’s how it suits me and I’ll never get enough of it, so why would it be any different? This is my awakening, this is my path to loving myself. The motion and the vastness that fit in the pupil of the eye are magical. I carry my fortune in my pupil and my heart. ’The smile that flows from the heart of the world to the soul of the world’ and ’Beautiful is the person whose eyes smile’. Yes, my eyes and my heart smile, together with the love on my path. It’s here, I can feel it in the air, it talks to me. Everything comes back to me with joy; everything’s mine and I’m a part of everything. The world is US, the inner and the outside. I love to cruise in the vastness for as long as I can. I like to get lost in unknown streets and find a way to the destination. I love explorations, both on the road and within my soul. Motion is the meaning and the essence of my life; motion and travel across this wonderful world are my life and my self; they are in harmony. I know that I’m living my truth. I am a world traveller on the roads across the world that I love, get to know and recognise. The topic of the April issue of RYL e-magazine is WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD The world is wonderful, along with all awakenings, beauty, the sun, the seas, oceans, deserts, windmills, the universe, birds and the inspiration that takes us far away where we meet other souls. This April issue is about this beauty through yoga, recall healing, partnerships, gratitude, love, parenthood, photography and spirituality. The world is miraculous and wealthy in its versatility. I’ve always loved people who were strangers to me and who bring a scent of the world to me. I love the scent of their mileage and the magic that they do; because they carry the world within. Because I carry that world within. That is why I take steps forward, just like Alice in Wonderland. Because this life is a miracle and the most beautiful adventure. ’We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.’ Jawaharlal Nehru ANIMA MUNDI

THE SHINING SUN IN US
WORDS: JELENA VUJAČIĆ, PSYCHOLOGIST, PSYCHOLOGICAL ADVISOR AND PRACTITIONER OF BACH’S FLORAL ESSENCES
Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face. But you are life and you are the veil. Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are eternity and you are the mirror. KAHLIL GIBRAN The true nature of beauty has been debated for centuries, from philosophical theories and speculations, through mathematical calculations, spiritual concepts, to the temporal earthly life, which attributed great importance to the beauty through the whole history. It is known that, for the sake of beauty, wars have been waged, people have fallen in love fatally, died and been manipulated. All in all, the beauty is, both before and today, a very important and omnipresent phenomenon, set as
a standard, almost a requirement, of social acceptability, attractiveness, promotion in business, public and private context. Well, let’s explore the roots and the true nature of beauty... As for the external beauty, as it turns out after multi century analysis, it comes down to symmetry and proportion, and the application of the law of the “golden intersection”, the so-called divine proportions. This law is recognized in many natural forms, and it takes on the most perfect form in shell of seashells. For achieving aesthetic ideals, this principle has been used very often in art (da Vinci, Dali, Le Corbusier, Mondrian) and architecture (the Taj Mahal, Giza pyramids, the Parthenon, the Gothic cathedrals), in order to contribute to the impression of symISSUE #27, APRIL 2017.
metry and harmony, harmony and beauty. Calculated proportion of the golden intersection is 1.618 and represents the proportion of each major part of the whole in relation to the smaller ones, and this law appears to exist in representation of human body and face. Namely, the persons whose facial and body features approach to this ideal proportion are perceived as a nicer and more pleasant. The studies have even shown that beautiful people often are attributed inner qualities such as goodness, honesty, reliability and the like, and it is inevitable that today outer beauty indeed is a significant phenomenon, but not sufficient. We, as human beings, besides outer appearance, symmetry and exterior beauty, are adorned with a far larger and

more powerful world of inner reality, which is so large, spacious and powerful, that, to the great extent, it colours our whole subjective reality, and so does the “trace” that we leave behind in the world. How would you describe, define and evoke the elusive phenomenon of inner beauty? Many thoughtful people, poets and sages have written about it. Em says that expressionless beauty tires, Schopenhauer that the physical beauty is something animal if behind it there is no sense, Hebel that the beauty is the depth of the surface (!), and Oscar Wilde’s description notes that the beauty of the face is in the beauty of the character. Indeed, what is the substance that, regardless of the external characteristics, makes us truly beautiful, attractive, magnetic, and even irresistible? That is nothing but the beauty of our Soul, its depth and generosity, joy, love, lightness and deep peace that it radiates a higher principle of Truth and Beauty that manifests itself in our being, our view and expression. How to achieve this subtle and powerful form of beauty? By working on yourself! Both psychology and spirituality, as well as all the new-age movements, emphasize the primary importance and necessity of work on our inner being. Psychology called it personality, spiritual schools divine spark or soul, but they
all agree on one thing - it is building ourselves towards more positive emotions and thoughts, increasing harmony and integrity, ease and joy of existence, peace, sophistication and depth. Let’s look at children, are there some ugly among them? They are a perfect example of that true joy and lightness of being. They are all adorable and beautiful, and if we are able, at least for a moment, to step out of our fears, concerns and expectations, we can note their unrestrained spark of Life. They celebrate life, enjoy the moment, play, rejoice, sing and dance. According to a saying, “We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing”. Everything that disturbs the state of our body, soul and spirit, also undermines our beauty. Constant worries and fears, envy, vindictiveness, jealousy, possessiveness, ego-maniacness, insecurity, intolerance, tension and negative thoughts, affect the overall colour scheme by which we colour our inner world, and it again makes our whole reality. People often mistakenly think that their world of thoughts and emotions is only a part of the whole reality, but they actually are our whole reality, because they colour every perception, every adventure and every experience, completely and inevitably. And so the first step toward achieving inner beauty is unbinding and releasing all E-MAGAZIN RYL - REFRESH YOUR LIFE
negative inner content, persistent and unwavering work on achieving the beauty of our inner being. There are a lot of techniques, from psychotherapy and Bach’s flower essences, to do ho’oponopono, hypnotherapy, yoga and meditation, prayer and forgiveness, morality and conscious pursuit of the principles of the common good, reading books on self-development, books that spread the depth of perception of our reality and cognition of our own power and so on. Available techniques are endless, more than ever. They all have in common only one thing and that is liberation of all the negative beliefs and programs, experiences and emotional charge on one hand and reaching the state of joy and love, lightness and inner glow on the other. “Beauty will save the world”, as said by Dostoevsky. And there is a true, vibrant, inner beauty. Only a step away from us. And only then are we no longer dark seeking the light of other being to be shined by on, but become a source of beauty and inspiration, joy and poetry. Good luck in the exciting process of inner growth and do not forget that this is the only truly valuable and a lifelong project, which provides us with imminent fulfilment, happiness and satisfaction with every step made towards the big, shining sun that shines in each of us.

WORLD CONQUEST After completing the first year of primary school, she moved with her parents to Peru, due to her father’s work. She never wanted to leave her country, and in Paris, while waiting for the connection flight to New York, she wanted to go back home to Serbia with 50 dinars in her pocket. In Peru`, the town Piura was small and in the middle of the desert, two hours from the Pacific, she and her family had eternal summers without a drop of rain. The Peruvians, sluggish by nature were great speakers. Education was a little bit traumatic because she and her sister Slavica did not speak any Spanish. On top of that, at the Serbian school they attended, only Cyrillic was thought. As she struggled to understand the classes, she would sleep in class. Before and after every class, the Peruvian students used to pray and sing the hymn. They were very religious and had a church in the schoolyard. Their father told them they weren’t obliged to attend Religion education. Still, that is where she learnt to pray. Both sisters learnt Spanish
within few months. Living in Peru` has meant a lot to her, as so different form the life she lives today. THE WORLD OF FURNITURE Furniture has soul. As business owners, we handle the production process from beginning till the final realization. We have participated on numerous furniture industry exhibitions in the country and abroad, always approaching the events thematically. We hire young designers and give them a chance to create something new together, something beautiful, functional for our clients. We inhale into our products, our idea, soul, logic, love and energy. It is important that our client can feel and recognize us. That the style is ours and theirs. That it can sense the magnificent note of uniqueness and individuality that our pieces carry. We collaborate with various international producers so that we can achieve the best results. We play and enjoy the process of creation.

WORK I carry a powerful driving force in me. Our employees, with their healthy energy are stunningly creative. Producing is not easy, neither is finding suitable international partners. But with strong will and dedication, everything is possible. The family tradition in business is wonderful. I am thankful to have a father who has thought me everything. He is my hero who has passed all his knowledge to me. He is a wise and intelligent man, always well informed about the cotemporary trends and forecasts. Family businesses can have some limitations. In the beginning, we were only importing the panels while I was keen on starting our own production, and my father was against it. After joining forces and compromises we agreed on everything and set our goal. We produce kitchens, wardrobes, children’s rooms, office furniture, bedrooms, and cabinets. Everything evolved with our fantasy that my sister and I have been creating endlessly. Work with craftsmen and the workers was a challenge for me. Our father was less open to the idea to initiate production, out of fear of contact with clients, which can be extremely difficult. I was persistent and explained that I want to enjoy working through constant creation, and have succeeded in it. It was my personal fight. My goal is for the company to grow while maintaining what my father founded. I want him to work less, and for me to work more and more. I owe him everything. We made a web shop and all our products can be found on: www.shop. perin1.com. I love the modern technologies and want to make use of everything that this 21st century is offering to us. THE CABINET The cabinet is needed in every household. It is hand painted. We export it to Switzerland. It’s our most popular product. Modern and simple, minimal. A piece of furniture represents passion, an extension to one’s personality, same like jewelry that I also adore. That is what I am, it says a lot about me. I have so much love for everything that surrounds me (from people to furniture). I could not imagine life without beautiful things and good, wonderful people. Passion leads
me towards creating something that I have not managed to create yet. Creating furniture, from its inception to the realization, isn’t at all an easy task. When the final product turns out to be perfect I am satisfied because I have realized a fantasy of mine and wanted to bring it closer to the client. What drives me is the love towards beauty. TALENTS I am a pragmatic person. Everything I do, hear, everything I feel or read, I want to implement in real life immediately. That is a quality of mine. With knowledge and talent, I create and live this life in full potential. My talent lays in the fact that I manage to materialize my thoughts and create a fairytale. I am a combination of spiritual and material feelings. On my mother’s side, I am an artist and I carry that gene of hers, while my being pragmatic comes from my father. JOY Joy is in the basis of everything. Joy - the quality in private and business life. Joy is, like passion, is a driving force that moves me to accomplish my best results. I love professionalism and when it is combined with joy, creating and clients, who live with our products, than there is no end to happiness and joy. I thrive for Perin to be different, to keep creating and adapt to the wishes of our clientele. ART Our furniture is also artistic and more than just a product of manufacturing. Our furniture has a female touch and style, female esthetics, more like Italian baroque. Lately though I have been turning to metal more and more and simple minimal constructions, following popular trends in the North of Europe. That is because my brain functions on the male/female principle, creation and design is a challenge for me. Rustic, French Provencal, Italian style, shabby chic as a direction in the decoration of our furniture, gives us the arty attributes that distinguish us from the competition. That is what makes us recognizable on the local and foreign market. Everything I have lived, seen, where I have
E-MAGAZIN RYL - REFRESH YOUR LIFE
34
traveled, all the knowledge that is in me, I easily transmit onto a piece of beautiful furniture. SPIRITUALITY People are the basis of my being. But, I am alone a lot, I need time for solitude, meditation, prayer, sport activities, and it is all very pragmatic. Whatever I do, I try to see how I can implement it in here and now, in the moment of now. How can I manage to create the harmony with myself. I was in situation of facing death and have realized that without prayer and my prayer book I could have never overcome it psychologically. My interest are directed towards the spiritual and the business. I am a fighter and believe that you are born that way. A man cannot stop being what he really is. Ev-
erything must be cherished, people, relations, at all times, especially with your closest ones. Like Father Tadej used to say: „Where your hearth is, that is where the fruits are“. We must first realize what makes us happy, who are the people we cannot do without and strive to soak in as much as love as possible in our life and to give it back. WHERE DO YOU SEE YOUR COMPANY “PERIN” IN FIVE YEARS TIME? I would love to start PERIN HOME, that is, a line and design in every segment, from slippers to wardrobes, to color your lifestyle with Perin style.

“SLEEPLESS” ISSUE #27, APRIL 2017.

Goran Stojičić was born in Belgrade and has been writing all his life, but his first book ‘’Sleepless’’ hit us all pretty hard and touched our hearts because the theme is what makes the world go round and that is love. It’s all about the relationship between Everywoman and Everyman. ‘’Sleepless’’ was published by ‘’Ammonite’’ 6 months ago. It is a multimedia collection of stories (the first of its kind in this region, most likely in greater Europe as well). Each story is accompanied by a song as background music (David Bowie, Massive Attack, Tom Waits, Cocteau Twins, Nick Cave, Tindersticks, Mazzy Star, The The, Mercury Rev, Beth Hart, Morphine, Paul Weller, Amy Winehouse, The Smiths and others) available through QR codes, and illustrated by Slavimir Stojanović Futro who also designed the book cover. ‘’This book, and I won’t sound pretentious, is one of the most notable achievements of contemporary Serbian literature. What’s more, everything is perfectly packed up.’’ – Karlo Astrahan, writer and ‘’Milutin Bojić’’ library manager.
WORDS/PHOTOS: ANIMA MUNDI
When a writer finds his inspiration in the souls of people and their mutual affections, relationships and love, then he writes ‘’Sleepless’’ night after night. He writes his short stories having Everywoman and Everyman, who represent all of us, as their main characters. In fact, we are the protagonists since we can identify ourselves with them. There are no toponyms. These stories happen anywhere and to anyone. Yes, when I started writing the book, I decided that it won’t have any names or toponyms. For lots of reasons… I wanted the readers to recognize themselves in the life situations depicted in the stories. It could be anyone, anywhere and anytime – I wanted emotions to put in the first place. Everywoman and Everyman are just fine. WHAT WERE YOUR NIGHTS LIKE WHILE YOU WERE WRITING AND GIVING YOURSELF UP TO THIS MAGIC OF CREATION? WHERE DID YOU DRAW YOUR INSPIRATION FROM (YOUR OWN SELF, NEIGHBOR’S ROOM, A FRIEND’S STORY)? We’re talking about a work of fiction here, but it’s almost impossible to leave out some autobiographical or biographical facts. Even when the writer is not aware of referring to them, they keep revealing themselves during his cre-
ative work. When it comes to love, no matter what kind of love it is, one has inexhaustible inspiration to write about it. And it doesn’t matter where the inspiration is found – in our own self, neighbor’s room or a friend story.
READING INSTRUCTIONS At the very beginning I offer ‘’READING INSTRUCTIONS’’, but ‘’Sleepless’’ can also be read like any other book. However, by following these instructions, the stories get a whole new dimension. The one I had in mind – they become multilayered narratives including one more sense (hearing) and the readers get involved even more; one might say, drawn to the very center of my cosmos. ALL YOUR SHORT STORIES ARE LIKE FILMS. YOU DIRECT, EDIT AND CREATE THEM VIRTUALLY ON WHITE SHEETS OF PAPER. THESE DRAMA STORIES ARE DYNAMIC. READING THEM, YOU TEND TO CRY MORE THAN YOU LAUGH, BUT THEY ARE CAPTIVATING… I’m glad you feel that way. To be honest, that’s exactly how I see myself. Directing and editing are my two unfulfilled loves. The same thing is with music. Writing this book, I somehow managed to bring them to life and put them all between the covers. I directed my stories,
E-MAGAZIN RYL - REFRESH YOUR LIFE

‘’Sleepless’’ and gave it his absolute support. DO YOU THINK THAT NOWADAYS A WRITER, AN ARTIST, A CREATOR IS EXPECTED TO SHOW THIS MULTI-FUNCTIONING, MULTITASKING, MULTI-KNOWLEDGE, MULTI-EDUCATION – ENRICHED WITH SIMPLICITY AND PRICELESS QUALITY? I guess it’s not necessary. The value of a work of art would be recognized even though it may not keep up with the times. However, this is what my creation is like – both simple and ‘’multi’’ at the same time. It was complicated to get everything together, but possible. I would let the readers say whether I did it right. As I already said, the book can be experienced like the most ordinary but also extraordinary one as well. THERE ARE 35 STORIES WITH SURPRISING TWISTS, LOVE, FEARS, ADULTERY, PERSISTENCE, EXPECTANCY AND ALL THOSE THINGS THAT LIFE IS MADE UP OF, OR AT LEAST ONE SEGMENT OF SOMEBODY’S LIFE. WHAT IS THE STORY THAT BEST DEPICTS YOURS? I’ve already offered myself on a plate to the reader, so I can answer you this question as well – ‘’Novel’’ and ‘’The Recipe’’. edited the sentences scattered over the laptop screen, composed the background music for my short featured films. And regarding tears… Well, yes, they do go with ‘’Sleepless’’, but I think that the reader will have a smile on their face once they finish reading it. IT’S A MULTIMEDIA BOOK ENRICHED WITH QR CODES AND MINI-ILLUSTRATIONS BY SLAVIMIR STOJANOVIĆ FUTRO. YOU PUT A STORY, MINI-ILLUSTRATION AND MUSIC INTO ONE. IS IT A NEW TREND IN WRITING? Speaking quite frankly, I don’t know. The book simply had to turn out this way, although I haven’t seen anything like this before. As I said, music is very important to me. That’s way it is at the very beginning of each story by means of scanning QR codes that offer Soundtrack (or in this case Booktrack). Brilliant Slavimir Stojanović Futro did graphic design, book cover and illustrations consistent with his artistic name – Futro (a blend of future and retro). So, following his motto ‘’Complicate Simply’’ he made the book look retro from the outside and a bit futuristic from the inside. I’m also very grateful to Dejan Bošković, manager of Ammonite publishing house, who believed in
YOUR CHARACTERS’ LACK OF COURAGE TO FOLLOW THEIR OWN NEEDS AND LOVE RUNS THROUGH THE STORIES. IT IS ABOUT LACK OF COURAGE TO CHANGE SOME THINGS RADICALLY. DO YOU THINK IT’S BETTER TO DREAM AND DAYDREAM INSTEAD? Lack of courage to change things radically is frequently seen in love; that’s the moment when it can’t be called love anymore. Love is the most simple and, at the same time, complicated ‘’thing’’ in the world. It’s not better to dream and daydream about it, but for most people it’s an easier road to take. WE ALL KNOW THAT SOME SONGS SOUND BETTER IN ENGLISH THAN THEY WOULD SOUND IN SERBIAN OR ANY OTHER LANGUAGE. THE BOOK ‘’SLEEPLESS’’ IS BEING TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH, HEBREW, DUTCH AND GERMAN. WHAT’S YOUR OPINION – IN WHAT LANGUAGE WOULD IT BE BEST AND MOST REALISTIC? While we are doing this interview, the incredible English version by Jelena Ćuslović is being printed. And when it’s been published in the magazine, the book will be available to anyone. Jelena managed to read my mind and

turned ‘’Besani’’ into ‘’Sleepless’’ in a most remarkable way. Right now, we’re discussing the possibility of translating it in German. As for Dutch and Hebrew, some wonderful people from my childhood days offered to do it for me. When it’s done, it’s done. It’s not easy to say what version would be best. A good translation is a serious form of authorship and a work of art too. Each version will have its own distinctive smell. YOUR PEN AND THOUGHTS ARE ALREADY INVOLVED INTO CREATING SOMETHING NEW. WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN MIND AND WHAT HAVE YOU DEDICATED YOURSELF TO? Oh, it’s something very complicated for me – stories again, but this time they should form a novel. Nonetheless, they can be read as separate stories if you decide to skip some. You won’t have to know anything about the characters or situations from any previous ones. I have plans to go on working with Slavimir Stojanović and music will also be included. THE THEME OF RYL JANUARY ISSUE IS BRANKO MILJKOVIĆ’S VERSES – ‘’ONE SHOULD GO TO THE END OF THE WORLD AND FIND DEW ON THE GRASS’’, THAT IS, DREAM ABOUT THE IMPOSSIBLE, SEEK FOR THE POSSIBLE AND BELIEVE IN DREAMS. I have to admit, I’ve never dreamed of experiencing all the things that have happened to me in the last couple of months. Hm, even my collection of stories is called ‘’Sleepless’’. However, when I started writing it without having the faintest idea how I would call it, I started dreaming. Not of becoming famous or having a book that is selling this well, but I dreamed of finishing what I started and being satisfied with what I did. To leave something behind to my kids and people who love me. I managed to do it, but what followed in a flash was something I didn’t even dream of. Still, my message to everyone would be – Believe in yourself, no matter what you do. Dream, be brave (even though you might not be aware of it when lying in bed), be persistent and believe in yourself because dreams – do come true.

WHAT IS RIGHT AND PERFECT FOR US? Mabel Katz was born and raised in Argentina. She moved to Los Angeles, USA in 1983 where she became a successful accountant and tax advisor. In 1997 Mabel started her own company, Your Business, Inc. Today she is a practitioner and teacher of the Hawaiian art of Ho’oponopono and is the author of The Easiest Way, a series of books based on Ho’oponopono. In the book, she told her own WORDS/PHOTOS: ANIMA MUDNI, MARKO MAODUŠ
story about finding her identity and freedom using this technique. For twelve years, she studied intensively with the master Ihaleakalá Hew Len, Ph.D. The essence of this art is simple, let go and let God. Who knows better than God what is right and perfect for us?

RYL: MABEL, COULD YOU PLEASE TELL US ABOUT SOME MIRACULOUS EXPERIENCES WHICH CONTRIBUTE TO PRACTICING HO’OPONOPONO? Mabel: For me, the most miraculous experiences are in the relationships with my kids, because that was completely out of the box, out of the ordinary. You know, leaving my kids with my ex husband was a big no-no, especially for a Latin mother. At that time, it mattered what other people thought about me, too. Now, I really don’t care what other people are going to think about me. The relationship that I have with my kids today is wonderful. They are 28 and 33 years old and even in the trainings I show emails they send to me, with their words of sincere love and appreciation, like ‘We love you and thank you for everything’. The younger one often says: ‘Mom, please continue cleaning, it works.’ What else can I ask for? When the younger son was little, he was crying for days and was saying he wanted to come to live with me and I knew that spiritually it was not correct, so I told God ‘You are asking too much from me, I don’t know if I can do this’. On that day, my son stopped crying. You see, it’s not just that he stopped crying, but things got resolved. If you ask for help, help always comes. But I had to stop myself from intervening and let God. After a few years, his father told my son that he had to come to live with me. He asked me what we were going to do and I
told him ‘We are going to clean’. And we cleaned. The next day, while I was with my son, my ex husband called but my cellphone didn’t ring. I saw a missed call and a message later, but I was really surprised because the phone never rang. So I didn’t answer the phone call, but I answered via e-mail later. If had I answered the phone, I don’t know what would have happened. But, thanks to that, things didn’t escalate and two days later my son had coffee with his father and from that day things went to peace again and he went home. So, God can handle all the stress and put the right people at in the right place at the right time, things that we can’t do, even when we are very smart and have a university degree. So, those are really miracolous things I have seen. Then, things about my job.The way I started my own practice and how I never had to worry about money, because the clients used to come to me and always paid on time. It was like everything was orchestrated. And as I changed the career and just had to send e-mails. And the way money came to me easily, it’s a new world to me. My only job is to clean, to let go and let God, because God can arrange and coordinate everything perfectly. You know, in some other interviews they asked me what my plans are five years from now and I answered that I didn’t even know my plans for the following week. I mean, I know where I am going for the next seminar, but I’ve learned to live in the present moment and I learned that God has better plans for me than I

could ever imagine. And it is easier this way. RYL: SO IF I EXPERIENCE SOMETHING NEGATIVE, ARE YOU SAYING THAT GOD HAS A PERFECT PLAN FOR ME? Ok, you have a problem. I am telling to you that God has a perfect solution. But if you start thinking and worrying, you are alone, and God loves you, but can’t do anything for you. So, he’ll observe you and say ‘Well, she wants to do it her way. I love her anyway’. But, you have to give permission from moment to moment and allow God to help you. So the question is, are you going to trust and let go, and no matter what, keep letting go and trusting? RYL: THAT WAS A WONDERFUL ANSWER. RECENTLY, IT CAME UP A FEW TIMES, SO I WOULD LIKE TO ASK YOU, WHAT SHOULD WE DO IF WE CLEAN AND WE START FEELING SOME PAIN IN THE BODY (FOR EXAMPLE IN THE CHEST REGION OR SOMEWHERE ELSE)? Mabel: You know, a very important thing about Ho’oponopono is that it is not about not having any problems or not having any sickness or pain. I still have pain and physicall challenges, I still have problems. But whatever pain or problem I have, I know it is perfect for me, because it is an opportunity to clean. So I do it to be at peace, no matter what. I’ll give you an example. I had to go from Los Angeles to Ecuador. And it was a trip I didn’t want to make. It was a hard trip for me, because I had hurt my back. I could not cancel it. I don’t usually miss planes and there are no delays, even though I travel so much, I guess I should say ‘Thank you’. But on top of that, I was in pain and didn’t want to go, I missed the plane and had to stay in Miami for a night. I had to stay in a room next to the cleaning ladies. They woke me up very early with lots of noise and lots of talking. I felt like ‘Okay, is the Universe doing it to me on purpose?’ So, again, that were all opportunities to clean. And after that I got transferred to another airline, so I could leave earlier. But, then the airline got delayed, and I left even later than the other one. I went crazy and felt like the Universe had forgotten about me, even though I was cleaning. After that, I checked with somebody, and the person told me ‘You know, you had to be there, because your cleaning helped a person not to have a heart attack’. I said OK and continued. And when we finally took off and were in the air, they asked if there was a doctor on the plane. So I knew that I just had to continue cleaning. And you never know, maybe my cleaning really helped someone in preventing a heart attack. My teacher Ihaleakala always said: ‘Whenever you have a delayed plane, always say thank you’. You never know what could have happened if you’d got on the plane, or your plane had left on time. You never know. So, again, there will be things that you can not avoid and will upset you, that you will not understand, and you will feel pain, but the most important thing is that we do our best to observe and do not engage. Because the situation is not the problem, but how we react to the problem.
RYL: THERE WAS A BIG WAR IN FORMER YUGOSLAVIA. MY ANCESTOR CAME FROM CROATIA AND I WAS BORN IN SERBIA. THERE ARE BIG PROBLEMS BETWEEN THESE NATIONS. I KNOW THAT IN THE EYES OF DIVINITY, WE ARE ALL THE SAME. CAN WE BRING PEACE TO THIS SITUATION BY CLEANING OURSELVES? Mabel: This is a very good example of how our problems come from ancestors and how everything is a memory. So, even though we are not aware of it, we have to know that lots of our problems come from our ancestors and that all our problems are memories replaying in the subconcious. If we really want this to come to peace, we have to take responsability and work on our subconcious and let go. We can make a difference. Because, whatever gets erased from us, gets erased from everyone. RYL: IT IS VERY INTERESTING TO ME, BECAUSE YOU GIVE SEMINARS IN BELGRADE AND THEN IN ZAGREB. I FOLLOW THE FACEBOOK GROUP WHICH GATHERS HO’OPONOPONO PRACTITIONERS AND THESE DAYS LOTS OF MEMBERS FROM ALL THE PARTS OF EX YUGOSLAVIA ARE CLEANING TOGETHER. SOMETHING STRANGE HAPPENED TO ME LAST YEAR, WHEN I FELT THAT I WAS LITERALLY GUIDED BY AN INVISIBLE HAND TO VISIT THE VILLAGE OF MY ANCESTORS AND CRIED THERE WITHOUT ANY LOGICAL REASON. I JUST FELT I HAD TO BE THERE. Mabel: Yes, just the memories. But, you know, we are all family and we have to realise that. And not just Serbians and Croatians, but Jews, Palestinians, Arabs etc. Don’t we all look for peace and happines? Don’t we all want the same things? In the eyes of God there are no blacks or whites, our body is just a package. RYL: A FEW DAYS AGO I DIDN’T ATTEND A SEMINAR, BECAUSE CLEANING TOOK ME TO A DIFFERENT PLACE. I MET A GIRL WHO WAS BORN WITH AN ILLNESS THAT ONLY 120 PEOPLE IN THE WORLD HAVE. AND, AS YOU SAID EARLIER, I REALLY DON’T KNOW WHY I WAS THERE, BUT I REALIZED THE CHANGE IN ME. I WAS NOT AVOIDING THE CONTACT WITH HER OR LABELED HER AS ‘HANDICAPED’, BUT THANKS TO HO’OPONOPONO I KNEW THAT IT WAS MY OPPORTUNITY TO CLEAN AND TRY TO SEE HER WITH THE EYES OF LOVE. REGARDING THAT, I HEARD THAT YOU WORKED WITH A LOT AUTISTIC CHILDREN. WOULD YOU SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH US? Mabel: My experience with autistic kids and people with Daun’s sindrome is that they are really full of love. And they are happy. They go to special schools and they are not asked to be something they are not. Not like us ‘normal’, we are asked not to be ourselves all the time, to be perfect, etc.We are very unhappy people. So we have a lot to learn from them. Our problem is that when we see somebody different, we think they have a problem. Now I am going to give you another example. I gave a lecture in a wom-

CREATING CONTENTMENT AND INNER PEACE
WORDS/PHOTOS: MARTA VOJNIĆ PURČAR
I have always admired people who know how to be content, wondering for a long time whether it’s something that naturally occurs or doesn’t occur. Striving to learn about myself, to achieve a state of overall contentment and general wellbeing, I’ve always been interested in reading, learning and talking about human nature and psychology, willing to apply and share what I have learnt. As a result, in the past few years of my life, I’ve been a witness of an undeniable fact that contentment, or happiness, as some might call it, is not simply a destination or a state that comes passively as a deserved heavenly gift, which many of us naively choose to believe. It is a deliberate conscious CHOICE and a SKILL that we need to learn and practice daily through our interaction with the world that surrounds us. I’ve learnt that, in order to accomplish our basic need to feel good about who we are and what we do, we need to be proactive by taking responsibility for our lives. Achieving inner peace and contentment requires determination, the right attitude, knowledge, effort, self-discipline, patience, gratitude, realistic expectations and, most importantly, harmonious, caring and supportive social bonds that we create. And it’s well worth the invested energy. So, how can we make it happen? To start with, there are actions that bring instant results: - being wholeheartedly grateful for what we already HAVE, from the ‘big things’, like the home, family, friends and job, to the ones we take for granted: kindness, sight, electricity, reading glasses, dentists, you name it. Just imagine living without them; - feeling gratitude for what we DON’T HAVE, as it’s only scarcity that motivates us to take action and be creative. It makes us humble, generous and emphatic. Abundance and perfection are not stimulating, productive or deeply satisfying driving forces; - accepting who we ARE by embracing the ISSUE #27, APRIL 2017.

roles that we have and the way we contribute to other people’s happiness, making a change in someone’s life; - being AUTHENTIC, contributing to the humankind with our unique personality and skills, spreading positive energy just by being able to be ourselves with all of our irresistible imperfections; - accepting the CIRCUMSTANCES that we are in right now, especially the ones we can’t change, like the weather or daily chores and responsibilities. Whinging only spoils everyone’s mood. And, - reaching out for support and sharing it, as both parties will benefit. On a deeper level, we need to learn where we are in relation to our emotional, spiritual, social and moral ideals. That means either making peace with the present situation by changing our attitudes to it or initiating change and improvement, having faith that the invested energy will result in positive outcomes, which it inevitably will. Not surprisingly, combining the two approaches will bring about the best possible results. Our principal instinctive guide is our INNER VOICE in daily moments of silence, solitude, mental privacy and detachment from our daily roles. Combined with the right people to help us on our journey, we have a win-win situation. Also, we should be finely attuned to our BODY, which is a natural mirror of the inner workings of our mind, soul and the subconscious. We need to be kind to it and take care of it by practising moderation, balance and versatility in everything we do and consume, and ensuring good quality sleep and rest; no compromise on that. Let’s treat our body as the only home we’ll ever live in, because it IS irreplaceable. Equally, it’s practically impossible to overestimate the healing benefits of the nature and fresh air, so lets consider it as necessary daily nourishment, no matter where we live or how many obligations we have. It’s an investment, rather than a luxury. It’s all pretty much common sense. At the end of the day, the choice is simple: Do I want to feel better or not? Then, I need to act accordingly. By taking care of ourselves, we send out a message
that we are not a burden to other people and it’s easy for them to create and maintain pleasant, quality and easy-going RELATIONSHIPS with us, which is a crucial factor for everyone’s wellbeing. Moreover, when we are highly sensitive to and selective about what kind of energy, people, circumstances and information we allow to consistently enter our private space, we minimise or maximise the emotional impact they have on us, therefore regulating the way they control us. If we take everything personally, we risk being overwhelmed by the feelings that don’t necessarily need to burden us. We don’t owe that to anyone. We should create HEALTHY BOUNDARIES that people will eventually learn to accept and respect. Boundaries are crucial for our overall well-being, and learning how to set them is a life-long process that requires knowledge, support and experience. We teach other people how to treat us by treating ourselves and them in the same manner. Finally, it helps a great deal when we have REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS from ourselves, other people, circumstances and events. They relieve the pressure for us and them, enable us to spare ourselves the many disappointments and potential conflicts. They allow us to appreciate whatever life brings as a blessing or a valuable lesson that we need to learn to be able to let go, move on and evolve. We also discover how to make the most of what we have HERE and NOW, with the people, circumstances and vibes that are present in our lives. We learn how to manage our emotions and look for potential joy and inspiration in everything we do, whenever we can, beyond the obvious occasional, highly fulfilling pleasures. When we cultivate noble feelings and habits, embrace people and circumstances that contribute to our general well-being, we improve our chances of living the fulfilling life we all strive for. At the end of the day, it’s hard work but also pleasurable experience, exploring ourselves and our potentials, meeting inspiring people along the way. There is no simple recipe or a magic pill. There is, however, a different choice – letting life passively happen to us. Now, how boring is that?

PUT YOUR PREJUDICE BEHIND AND FLY
WORDS: LJUBIŠA BORETOV
People say that we are able to do whatever we are dreaming about. They are teaching us to be strong, to pursue our dreams, to follow our stars. But sometimes those stars stop shining. We stay in the dark, with no path in front of us. The light that lead us is no longer shining, and we are confused, then disappointed, and at the end the anger is taking us over. Every day we need to make a million decisions. In that process we need our daily routine, to take small steps we are repeating from day to day. Following those small steps we are used to do, rarely we think of changing it. Yes, we could think about it, we could even try, but sometimes it’s not easy to do it. Our small daily rituals are keeping us self-collected, preventing us from falling apart, in the rush of the modern life. Routines becoming important highlight without we can’t go through the day. In time we are convincing ourselves that not only the days are depending from or small rituals, but our whole life. And that is the catch that is holding us down, preventing us from fulfilling our wishes, pursuing our dreams, and at the end fulfilling our destiny. But, nobody knows what destiny is preparing for us. If we don’t try to take a challenge, we can never be sure what was right or wrong for us. So we need to let go, we need to open our hands, open our minds, and make the first step. Psychologists say that creating comfort zone is good thing to do, because it’s representing familiarity, safety, and security. But we need to recognize the moment when we are ready to grow and transform, and we need to step out from our safe circle. Our own prejudices, believes and stands, that we are creating, not only about the surrounding but about ourselves to, are keeping us tight on the place. When we close our eyes, clear our ISSUE #27, APRIL 2017.

mind and open our hands, and make the space for the new emotions, acknowledgments, and viewpoints, we can be positively surprised how bigger picture of our life is getting a new perspective. Leaving our comfort zone is the hardest, but it can be the most liberating step in life. When we made it, everything that comes after is easier and happier. If we break with old and bad, new habits are bringing joy. When we stop smoking, taste of the morning coffee becoming richer. When we are falling in love, sex has a new meaning. On the other side when we stop falling in love, we can see the real colors, of the sex to. When we know how to put our friends and families on the place, when we are strong in the stand in front to the coworkers, everything is easier. In one point of my life I was torn out from my comfort zone. I was young, at the beginning of my adulthood, but the war made me a refugee. After peaceful and well-being childhood I suddenly needed to fight for the existence. I’ve had to build
a new life, new carrier, literally to start from the scratch. Since the great misfortune set my life in motion I’ve decided to look at it as the challenge, adventure and to embrace all the new wanders of the world outside my small hometown. It was the good decision. Best in my life. I have travelled, worked in the most interesting companies, met interesting people, and made friends for life all over the world. All of that have happened just because I have decided to look at leaving of comfort zone as an adventure instead as the catastrophe. I have abandon the provincial prejudices, and become open for new experiences. And yes, it’s true. Leaving the comfort zone, can be stressful. But experiencing a little stress and anxiety now and then is a good thing, too. If all you ever do is staying wrapped up in your little cocoon, keeping warm and cozy, you may be missing out on quite a lot. So, put your prejudice behind, and fly.

WHAT IS SOMATIC EXPERIENCING (SE) TRAUMA HEALING? Trauma Healing is something new in Serbia. It is called SE - Somatic Experiencing. It is a technique introduced by Peter Levine who has a PhD in psychology and biology. He was deeply studying the behavior of animals in wild life and how they deal with and recover from life-threatening situations. Within his research on stress in relation to trauma among human beings, he was really intrigued by the fact that in nature the animals are not traumatized when they are treated. He wondered how animals avoid traumatization in reacting to lifethreatening situations. We are human beings but we also have the animal instinct in this way, because on that basic level our nervous system works more or less in a similar way as among the animals. An animal, when being
endangered, has three choices: to fly, it means to escape, to fight, or to freeze. In these three options - fly, fight or freeze, all the energy that was in the nervous system, ready to move, is released. When they freeze, and when they don’t feel they are endangered, they stand up, shake and run away. While shaking they release the energy. Human beings have the same reaction - when we feel endangered all our nervous system starts to react, all our body starts to prepare for whatever reaction. It means that the heart starts to beat faster, adrenalin starts to rise up, all blood goes into the extremities, just to be ready either to run away from something or to attack. Eyes become bigger while they focus, and all the energy we have in our system makes us ready to fight, fly or freeze, which is the same reaction as among the animals. But what happens with us is that we forget, or we

don’t fight, or we run away, or we freeze and don’t shake after that and then the energy gets stuck in our nervous system. The beauty I found in this vision of Peter Levin is that he says that we are all traumatized but being traumatized is not something that we need to carry through all our life. Trauma is defined as whatever situation that for us was too much, too fast or too sudden. Then all our energy get stuck in the nervous system and we are not able to release it in the appropriate moment which means that if we could have released it, the trauma would not be there anymore.
response to stress will depend on the capacity of each person to face the specific situation. One of the goals of SE is to bring awareness into the body in order to release the stuck energy from the nervous system and expand the capacity that all human beings have to face life with all its challenges. According to Dr. Peter Levine, the trauma is not only a mental issue. It happens mainly in the body where the survival responds from the reptilian brain facing a threat, get stuck. Once we are able to unblock and release those stuck impulses, then the mind follows, the emotions follow and healing can start to happen.
HOW DO PEOPLE REACT TO A STRESSFUL SITUATION? Trauma is not related to an event, it is related to how a person is able to face the situation. For you to stand in front of an audience or talk in public is normal, but for me it`s not and I just freeze in a similar situation. A traumatic situation is not necessarily a war or a car accident. And in situation like a war, we can notice that not everyone that went through has symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder - PTSD. The
WHAT TYPES OF TRAUMA EXIST? WHAT TYPES OF TRAUMA DO YOU WORK ON? Wars, floods, all accidents coming from nature, earthquakes, physical aggression, rape, physical violence, car accident or when you fall can also be traumatic. Trauma, as we said, can be whatever situation that for your nervous system was too much, too fast or too sudden and it was impossible to react in a natural way. And more we repeat the same way of reacting, more our system start to forget how to face challenging

popping up or images, and so on. We do a verbal therapy, we invite the story to come into the session, but we don’t go into the whole situation with all details. This will make to recreate the stressful/traumatic situation and revisit a space that is not safe/painful for the person. We just need to recreate enough in order to notice the body reaction and be able to bring support, resources, options to the person. In this way, she/he will be able to face the core of the traumatic situation. We are working in building up trust, support, resources enough to face whatever happened and be able to change the respond, to complete an unfinished movement and to move forward with a fresh, new and wider capacity to face and solves life challenges. HOW LONG DOES A SESSION LAST? It can last from one to two hours, it depends on the kind of trauma and on the capacity of a person to connect with their body, sensations and emotions. If they cannot connect with their body they are not able to connect with their soul, emotions, spirit. Sometimes we have to do three or four sessions just so they can feel their body and connect with their emotions and everything that is happening within. HOW CAN PEOPLE KNOW THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM AND NEED A THERAPIST? Whatever situation which stops you in your life from doing new things, new adventures or just if you are just afraid to go out, or you feel safe in the same pattern and just the simple idea to do something different stops you and you start to feel some kind of suffocation when you want to do something different. KIRTAN YOGA WORDS/PHOTOS: ANIMA MUNDI
Avril Mckenzie is a yoga teacher born in London, who started practising in 1968. With love and respect for a yoga lifestyle, she went on to study with many respected teachers in the UK, such as Rani Hart, Helen Knight, Swami Dev Murti and others, until eventually meeting her beloved guider and teacher in India, Swami B.R. Shridhar in 1983. Under his direction she began teaching in 1984. in Ioannina, northern Greece, and continues to teach up until now in both Ioannina, Corfu, London and Belgrade. She is licensed to teach the various Vedic Arts, including Yoga, Ayurveda, Meditation and leads Kirtans. WHAT IS YOUR SPIRITUL BACKGROUND? I was born in London in 1953 and I remember from a very young age looking for God or Spirit. My parents were both in the Show Business world so our life was a very interesting mixture of art and entertainment. My father was a Jazz Pianist and singer and my mother was an actress. Yet, they were always interested in Spiritual matters. From about 3 years old I remember my father’s dear friend and Yoga Teacher Rani Hart showing my parents various Yogic practises. Alongside this were various discussions on the philosophical side of yoga. I was always searching to find the truth. At about 15 years old, in 1968, I was reading so many spiritual books and started to practise Yoga under the direction of Rani Hart. My heart was looking for the beloved and in earnest I started to study many different types of spirituality. I started studying Yoga under various well known teachers as in those days London was a hub of spiritual activity. Alongside this, I was a Piano Teacher and DJ. My heart, though, wanted a deeper connection. After going into many different paths, I was fortunate to always find amazing spiritual teach-
ers and benefit from their king years of spiritual experiences. In1978 I moved to Greece where I lived and taught Yoga and meditation until 2015, almost 40 years of intense daily practise Sadhana. I was fortunate to have been given a beautiful spiritual name in India by my beloved teacher Swami BR Shridhar. He gave me the name Aditi, a name of the Mother of the gods and of the sun. I am always happy to meet spiritual practitioners of all paths and traditions as I believe we enrichen our own lives and spirituality this way. WHAT DOES THE TERM ’YOGA’ MEAN TO YOU? The term Yoga is a Sanskrit word which means to Join. Join what? We usually take it to mean joining in body mind and spirit, complete harmony between the physical and the material. However, after spending most of my life as a spiritual seeker and practitioner the term for me means simply Love. Love, in its essential essence, manifesting through our bodies, minds, concioussness and Spirit. So our life becomes a complete harmonious expression of Love.

WHAT IS KIRTAN? Traditionally, Kirtan is the yogic practise of singing special Mantras or sound vibrations which affect our whole beings. It is very ancient and is often performed with instruments, old and new, in a joyful, yet focused act of surrendering to a higher vibration. Singing and sharing this experience is known to be extremely healing and beneficial for all the participants. HOW DID YOU BECOME INVOLVED WITH KIRTAN YOGA? I became involved in Kirtan yoga in about 1972. Having studied Piano and qualifying as a piano teacher at the Royal Academy of music in London, I was always interested in Sound and Music and its effect on our whole being. So, when I first heard people performing Kirtan at the Radha Krsna Temple in London it was an emotionally charged and very beautiful experience which affected me on many different levels. It was something I wanted to go deeper into. I started incorporating it into my daily yoga practise and, eventually, it became such a trea-
sure and powerful healer in my life and in my Yoga students’ life. FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT YET TRY KIRTAN YOGA, WHAT MESSAGE WOULD YOU OFFER THEM? For those who have never experienced Kirtan, I would say, let your heart be open and sing with your heart. We do not need to be musically skilled or have a good singing voice. Just an open mind and heart and then let the sound vibration do its beautiful work!!! No previous experience necessary. It is an affair of the heart. AT PRESENT, THERE ARE MANY YOGA SCHOOLS AND MANY YOGA TEACHERS. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WAY OF PRACTICE AND TEACHING? I practise and teach yoga based on my many years of living a Yogic lifestyle. It is a complete way of being and learning while developing our hearts, minds, bodies and consciousness to be able to have a joyful and blissful life here on the planet earth. A combination of various traditional yogic

styles, including Jivan Tattva Yoga which is discovering the real person, and Kaya Kalpa, rejuvenation methods and, of course, always with our heartfelt Kirtan Yoga. YOGA IS ONE OF THE GREAT GIFTS BESTOWED ON THE WEST BY THE EAST. CAN A PERSON FROM THE WEST UNDERSTAND THE ESSENCE OF YOGA AND PRACTICE YOGA AS A PART OF LIFE THERE? This wonderful gift of Yoga from the East is well suited to our Western Way of life. In our daily Yoga practise, we come to realize our connection with all beings and our relationship as being a part of the human race as one whole living and loving whole travelling on this planet together. Unique beings, yet united in our common heritage. We start to feel this on a very deep level. Beautiful beings contributing to the upliftment of all beings and our planet. THE MAIN TOPIC OF NOVEMBER ISSUE OF RYL IS ’THE CODEX OF THE HEART’. DO YOU FOLLOW YOUR HEART? WHAT DOES ’THE HEART’ MEAN TO YOU? The heart for me is where heaven meets the earth. In Yogic symbolism it is described like this: Where we can really have heaven here on earth. The heart is the safe beautiful sanctuary where Love, Compassion, Joy and Peace reside. If we listen to our heart we will always do the right thing. I cannot think of a life without doing what my heart says. It is my very nature to always do what my heart says. Yoga has made me into A Heart Person. Yoga has always been for me an affair of the heart. A loving heart. Yoga is ultimately Love. NAMASTE AND LOVE XXXXXXXXXXX E-MAGAZIN RYL - REFRESH YOUR LIFE

RECALL HEALING – UNLOCKING THE SECRET OF ILLNESS

We are sick as our secrets. But not the ones we hide from other people. We are sick from secrets we hide from ourselves, those we carry inside of us but don`t recognize, or have forgotten. As Karl G. Jung said: „What does not come back to our awarenes, comes back as a destiny.“ Our subconscious mind in endless Ocean that defines everything about us. It stores all our life events, feelings and memories, from the moment we were in the mother’s womb, and memories from ancestors as well. Subconscious mind is a thousand times more powerful than our conscious mind and controls our health and our life. Traveling trough Recall Healing we put together puzzle of our life, make connections and understanding of events, emotional traumas and diseases that are following us. Recall Healing reveals the background of biological processes that connect the emotional conflicts with certain diseases and conditions, as well as solution for their resolution. To unlock the secrets of our illness, Recall Healing integrates the knowledge drawn from several areas of medical specializations, evidence-based scientific research, psychology and observation of biological laws and the behavior of humans and animals in nature. The disease is not our enemy. Every disease and every symptom has its meaning, has a message. It express what we carry in the dept of our inner being. This new awarens is our internal healer. Insight in our previous emotional traumas, and touching and feeling this lived experience, associated with a condition or disease, is the best possible way to a better future. For the most of the pathologies today we know what kind of emotions and traumas person has experienced and which are connected with disease process. This con-
nection comes from science of embriology and knowledge of human evolution. So localization in the body where pathology is manifested, is not accidental. It depends of connection of our psyche, brain and the body in the context of the embryonic and evolutionary development of the human organism and follows certain bilogical laws. Our brain controls everything that happens in our body. Most of time illness did not came from outside. It is process that comes from inside. Each part of the body is controlled by a corresponding part of the brain, including the brain itself. Brain is programmed in terms of biological survival and its main function is to keep us alive. Therefore, the brain must processed billions of peaces of information coming outside and inside, making calculation trough past, present and future, to make best possible solution to keep us alive. So we can say, the diesese is nothing else but best possible solution for our brain to maintain life in that moment. Imagine you are a child and had a very bad day. Your friend broke your favorite toy and your mother was angry at you because you reacted to much. You feel sad, angry and misunderstood. Your go to bed and you are so overwhelmed with those unpleasant feelings and hurt. It is very stressful for you and you can`t find peace and rest which your brain and body needs. If we can`t find solution for problem we experienced, if we are overwhelmed with problem, our focus is on that problem and we are detached from outside world and our daily life. But in biology for our brain it is very important to pay attention what is going on around us in order to be alert and ready to avoid danger. Brain must reduce stress in our conscious mind. So our brain downloads the problem, as a part of conlict in our subconscious mind. We feel beter but each time our

brain does this, it stores also the conflict in the body part which corresponds with that peculiar conflict. And in next days, or weeks we start to feel some symptoms in the body. But after some period of time, six months for example or one year, we are diagnosed with some disease. People talk over and over again about events thinking that they are problem, but in reality the are not, and thats why they can`t find any solution. But in Recall Healing we use biology to research where is the actual problem and what traumatic events make impact on our body and life. When we use bilology and its rules it gives us starting point to ask the right important questions to make person remember about events he would never consider. We use biology to help client to have insight what is going on in his mind and what are the emotions and memories that affects his health and life. This insight prevents us from being trapped in old negative patterns, and those negative patterns permeate our life and make us feel unhappy, unloved, sad, upset, feel anger or fear... Sure we have moments in our life when it`s normal to have those emotions, we normally have whole range of emotions, but important is not to get stuck in them.
was happening to parents in the period of conception and pregnancy is recorded in the client’s subconscious mind. Third level of expoloration is the family tree, including three previous generations. We also carry memories and unresolved conflicts from our ancestor and they also effect our body and our life. When we identify those conflicts and events, the effect is amazing. We must honor the past, live in present and create the future. And when we honor what happened, when we honor the pain that we carry, we must reframe it, changing the perspective, we must forgive and let go of anger and pain. This allows us to live more in present, to enjoy the life and it changes our biology and biology of our children and future generations, because the brain does not need to repeat same patterns and feel same hurt in order to resolve it. We can finally live fully life without baggage that belongs to past, or does not even belong to us.
In Recall Healing we ask right questions to find buried emotions and traumatic events and bring them to awarens of client in ordere to be resolved. When we succeed, we see resolution of an associated physical or psychological disease. We are not victim of illness, we just express certail illness according to our life story. When client comes to the Recall Healing facilitator, he takes him to journey from the present moment and moment of diagnosis, going back on life line of the client, finding crucial moments in the life cycles from the moment he was born. Next step of exploration is pregnancy, because everything what

Step 2: Invite all your “enemies”for a coffee. “If you can’t beat them, then join them” Where is your focus (attention), there is your energy. If you are focused on solving problems (resistance, obstacles), you add more power to them. However, if you look at your fears, your dark spots, and ask them what their purpose is, i.e. what is their good intention, you’ll find the reason for their existence. Talk to your resistances. When you accept them as your strengths instead of considering them your weaknesses, they lose their meaning and power, and your attention becomes focused on the goal. Take a large sheet of paper and divide it into three columns: RESISTANCE-BENEFICIAL INTENTION OF RESISTANCE-NEW USEFUL SUBSTITUTE. Write down everything that prevents you from having what you want today. Make a list (one below the other) of all the fears, all the negative beliefs, all the reasons for the delay, and any excuses, which prevent you from starting or finishing what you started. Be honest with yourself. I’ll tell you a secret: A high percentage of our obstacles are there, in our bodies and our minds, to protect us from something, or to teach us something! Yes. And when we realize that all of our obstacles in fact are our guardians and teachers, we begin to love them. And then easily you will find something else that can also protect you, and your resistance will become your encouragement and strength to move forward toward the goal.
list of obstacles for any wish (goal) you already have. Dedicate half an hour to this exercise daily, for each goal you have. Let me give you an example: Fear of success: If I succeed in business, I will spend a lot of time at work and will not have enough time to devote to my children. Useful intention: sabotaging project for new job in order to protect your identity of devoted mother. What you need as the lesson: How to find a way to rearrange your time for bothchildren and your new job. New useful replacement: When I love my work, I have more energy and motivation. I will find ways (more income, new friends, new knowledge) to delegate to other people all other obligations (house keeping, cooking etc), and in my free time, I will spend quality time with my children (talk, walk, trip, vacation). Symbol of fear of success: wet sponge (or contracted stomach, or nicely dressed doll with dark circles) Symbol of useful replacement: a book with lots of pictures (or dove or smiling and nicely dressed doll with baby dolls).
Step 3: Convert your “enemies” into your friends
Speaking from my own experience, and that of my clients’, I can suggest that you stay focused on what you want to achieve. The goal, For each of the obstacles on your list, find i.e. the image of joyful you, once you achieve another useful replacement. About Love
WORDS: JELENA MARTENS
What is this divine force that moves us all? Think of all the beautiful poems written about it, all the lovely verses we read to nurture our love hungry hearts. Think of all the songs we listened to (and sang along!) - at times to glorify the feelings of love we found, at other times to soothe the pain of our broken hearts and lost love. Think of all the books written about it by the greatest writers and minds of humankind; love quotes offering the essence of love in just a few wisely chosen words. ‘Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.’ (Aristotle) ‘Better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all.’ (St. Augustine) ‘There is always some madness in love. But there is also always some reason in madness.’ (Nietzsche) Think of science claiming to be able to tell us precisely where love lives – well, according to them, not in the heart! Scientists of the Concordia University report
that they have been able to form a ‘map of love and desire’ - in the brain! According to them, there are two parts of the brain (the insula and the striatum) that are responsible for tracking the transformation from sexual desire to love, each activating a different area of striatum. Once this transformation from sexual desire to love takes place, we end up in the part of the brain that is also associated with drug addiction. They thought that there were good reasons for this because love can be seen as a habit we develop when our sexual desires get rewarded. (Still, hard for me to imagine cutting out my Valentine’s cards shaped like a brain!) A lot has been said on the topic of love: by anthropologists, philosophers, psychologists, theologians, therapists, spiritual teachers, poets, writers, scientists, relationship and sex counselors, artists, musicians, teachers, politicians, etc. How we understand love depends on our epistemological positioning (our understanding of the world, how knowledge is acquired and truth defined, etc.) Still, accumulated knowledge, definitions, descriptions, pre-

Acts of philia contribute to nurturing of virtues, and leading of a meaningful life. Aristotelian understanding of love incorporates an idea that a man loves himself. This kind of love is not a simple pursuit of immediate pleasures, but leading of a reflective life in which we strive to develop virtues, thus to become worthy of love. Storge – This word for love is used for describing relationships within the family. It is a feeling of affection of parents and children. Natural kind of love is the love that a parent feels for its child (offspring), and vice versa, and is the least concerned with the love worthy characteristics of a subject.
do we choose our subjects of love? or how do we justify our love for a particular person?, we stumble upon different theories and perspectives to consider in order to answer. While some believe that no justification of love can be done, others argue that the reason is not some external power which regulates and dictates our behavior, but it is integral to who we are. And while the reason may not command that we fall in love, it does determine who and why we love.
But if we love a person with certain character and properties, why do we love that particular person, and not another with similar set of properties? Do we love a person, or the qualities in them? Most of us have experienced this force of transformation in love, when we strive to be the absolute best version of ourselves and love-worthy. Fitness fads like CrossFit can be found all over the world much like the Shake Weight or the Ab Blaster Machine. They are promising quicker results and a better life through fitness. I personally have found myself lured in by a clever sales pitch which promises better results for anything from car waxes to teeth whitener. It must be a very daunting task for a business to prove their product superior to others without a proven sample, necause when it comes to results, the answer always rests within the mind of the beholder.
our product is better than yours or how my program will work for you. I know it’s a bold statement, but one I am willing to make without hesitation, CrossFit is, without a doubt, the best fitness program of our time. It’s not just because you get results, or the fact that they build a community or even the fact that you will be healthier overall, it’s a combination of all those things. For example, when was the last time you cheered your friends on to the finish of a tough workout at your local gym? Or maybe you have taken a ski trip with your gym mates? STYLE – YOUR VISIBLE PERSONALITY
WORDS/PHOTOS: ASKA WOLF
Style is what you build while following your inner growth and what presents the visible part of your personality. On the other hand, trend is something you just blindly follow as a man of the moment. The upcoming style tendencies for this 2017/ 18 Summer Spring season can easily be put in following cathegories: ‘80s Metallics, one shoulder dresses, neon, spandex and mini (Isabel Marant, Gucci, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Kenzo). FUNCTION Fashion with function is all the anger sublimed for 2017 because designers were hugely inspired by workwear pieces with comfortable shapes and soft shades (Vetements, Chloe, Kenzo, Stella McCartney, Paul Smith).
SLOGANS Like it or not, the slogan tee is here to stay due to world political obsession, so if you like to, you can let your T-shirt do the talking (Christian Dior, Hood By Air, Mochino, Gucci). THE DECONSTRUCTURED SHIRT The off-the-shoulder trend is going stronger, but now with over-sized sleeves, all around ruffles, provocative cut-outs and cropped shirts (Alexander Wang, Michael Kors, Prada, Rag & Bone Joseph) RUFFLES Ruffles are huge this season, but for sceptics like me, it doesn’t have to be all girly as we saw that glipmpse of leather and punk ones (Alexander McQueen, Saint Laurent, Preen, Marc Jacobs, Erdem, Dries Van Noten, Mulberry

POP YOUR COLOUR Vibrant colour mixes clashed to the max are one of the huge tendencies for the upcoming season, so be prepered to go bold with pink and yellow, purple and pink, blue and grass green, blue and red, make the choice (Givenchy, Balenciaga, Sportsmax, Celine, Topshop Unique). STRIPES Stripes were present almost everywhere, so if you’re not into vibrant colours or florals, maybe you’ll be interested in a full-on striped together, since that’s the thing, these stripes aren’t delicate, they’re full on (Victoria Beckham, Balmain, Nina Ricci, Barbara Bui, Sonia Rykiel). FLORAL PRINT florals for spring are radical after all and
ultimately, if it’s covered in florals, you’re on (Miu Miu, Chloe, Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria Beckham). SPORT LUXE Sports luxe is getting bigger and bigger, but this time with leggings and drawstring-pulled nylon, anoraks and tracksuit tops with crystal embroidery, and even cycling shorts (Christian Dior, Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang, Versace, DKNY) GO BIG Overstatement is a key trend by all means for summer/ spring 2017 if we just analyze all from the above but with pointing at specific shoulder detailing and oversized shirts (Gucci, Isabel Marant, Balenciaga, Acne, Giambattista Valli).

BONE BROTH To me, bone broth is simple, it’s timeless, and it’s where we can go when we want to get back to the basics. Studies conducted on bone broth have found that it can improve your health in a myriad of ways. Bone broth is easier to make than you might think, and it has healing properties that go deeper than we can imagine. Bones represent the structure of the Universe. When we feel we know the truth, we feel it deep in our bones. Bone broth is grounding and nourishing. Bone Broth Boosts Immunity Amino acids in bone broth, like arginine, glutamine, and cysteine, have been shown to boost immunity in humans and animals. Bone Broth Alleviates The Common Cold And Bronchitis There’s a solid scientific reason that we reach for chicken soup during cold and flu season. In 2000, a study was published in Chest, the official journal of the American College of Chest Physicians, which studied chicken soup (bone broth) and found that it does indeed aid in alleviating symptoms of the common cold, by clearing mucus, opening respiratory path-
ways, and providing easily digested nutrition. In addition, according to medical doctor and UCLA professor Irwin Ziment, bone broth naturally contains the amino acid cysteine, which chemically resembles the bronchitis drug acetylcysteine. Bone Broth Fights Inflammation Studies show that many of the amino acids in bone broth (such as cystine, histidine, and glycine) reduce inflammation, and L-glutamine specifically reduces gut inflammation. Additionally, the same Chest article from October 2000 mentioned above concluded that chicken soup’s anti-inflammatory benefits may be one reason it is so helpful with relieving symptoms of the common cold. Bone Broth Strengthens Bones And Teeth A study on the necessary nutrients for bone health found that the process of bone-formation requires “an adequate and constant supply of nutrients” as follows: calcium, protein, magnesium, phosphorus, vitamin D, potassium, zinc, manganese, copper, boron, iron, vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin C, and the B vitamins. Bone broth with vegetables and meat or fish provides a good source of all of these vitamins and minerals. Bone Broth Promotes Weight Loss While more studies of gut bacteria and weight loss need to be conducted, research has

shown that obese people have more of a certain type of bacteria called Firmicutes and less of another type called Bacteroidetes in their digestive tracts. The higher proportion of Firmicutes is believed to lead to a higher amount of calories extracted from food. Therefore, a higher ratio of Firmicutes to Bacteriodetes has become one of the markers of obesity. Bone broth is a good source of L-glutamine, an essential amino acid (building block of protein) necessary for the body and gut health. L-glutamine was found in studies to reduce the Firmicutes in the gut and, therefore, aid in weight loss. Many studies have also looked at whether consuming soup before a meal promoted weight loss due to a lower amount of calories eaten during the meal itself. In a study published in the November 2007 issue of Appetite (an international research journal specializing in behavioral nutrition and the cultural, sensory, and physiological influences on choices and intakes of foods and drinks), researchers conducted the study again and went a step further to see if eating a meal with liquid would have the same effect as soup. The finding was that ingesting soup did indeed reduce caloric intake at the next meal and that only soup—not food consumed with water— had this beneficial effect. Bone Broth Improves Hydration Bone broth, especially when it’s made from vegetables, adds electrolytes (minerals) and carbohydrates (from vegetables) to the diet. Studies have shown that drinking broth can rehydrate better than water alone due to the electrolytes. Restore Exercise Capacity with Bone Broth Additional studies have shown that liquids with carbohydrates and electrolytes, like a bone broth simmered with vegetables, outperform water alone when it comes to restoring exercise capacity that may be lost from dehydration and electrolyte depletion.
Your diet influences your gut bacteria, and your gut bacteria influence your brain. According to neuroscientists, your gut bacteria are constantly speaking to your brain. The makeup of gut bacteria, called your microbes, influences how the brain is wired from infancy to adulthood, along with moods, memory, the ability to learn, and how to deal with stress. When the gut microbiome is healthy, it sends happy signals to the brain; when it’s unhealthy, it can send signals of anxiety. Because of this signaling, neuroscientists are starting to investigate how to manage gut bacteria to treat mood and stress-related disorders such as depression. Biologists says that the degenerative and inflammatory diseases on the rise in industrialized societies could be corrected by the use of gelatin-rich foods due to the presence of restorative amino acids such as glycine, alanine, proline, and hydroxyproline. In addition to these benefits of bone broth, the gelatin it contains has an additional 9 bonus side-effects. Stronger, healthier nails Anti-aging Anti-tumor Arthritis and joint-pain relief Cell-protecting Can alleviate diabetes and lower blood sugar; supports insulin regulation Can improve sleep Helps regulate bleeding from nosebleeds, heavy menstruation, ulcers, hemorrhoids, and bladder hemorrhage Helps normalize stomach acid, which is useful for colitis, celiac disease, ulcers, and other inflammatory gut conditions I recommend consuming 250ml one to two times daily as a soup, a plain beverage or doing a bone broth fast to get all these wonderful bone broth benefits. I typically drink 250ml upon waking every morning. Enjoy building your healthier happier you!

Muscle protein synthesis is essential for the ongoing growth, repair, and maintenance of skeletal muscle groups. In a study looking at healthy patients and ovarian-cancer patients, researchers found that ingesting amino acids helped stimulate muscle protein synthesis and reduced inflammation, both in healthy participants and participants undergoing cancer therapy. Troy and 27º Pisces
AUTHOR: SMILJANA GAVRANČIĆ (PROFESSIONAL ASTROLOGER ISAR CAP) www.infinityastrologicalmagazine.com www.astrologsmiljanagavrancic.blogspot.com
The example of German archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann shows the best that love for something may be the reason to spend one’s whole fortune. Schliemann spent all the money he earned as a young businessman on archeological research. He discovered the site of Troy on April 27, 1870, using the data from Homer’s “Iliad” and” Odyssey”. Convinced that he will uncover Priam’s Troy under the Hisarlik hill in Turkey, he started the excavations with his 80 workers and enormous
enthusiasm in 1868. He had no permit from Turkish government for he did not apply for one, because he deeply believed he would not have been provided with the permit… He started all this led by love… Naturally, he later had problems with Turkish government, but that is not important in this story… In his natal chart Schliemann has Venus (love, culture) in Pisces, which is enough for us astrologers to know that there is love for uncovering of everything which is not visible in

the field of culture, everything that is hidden, faraway, not researched and not examined… On the other hand, as Venus in Pisces requires the silence, because Mercury (words) is here in exile and fall, it is very certain that any application for the permit would have destroyed the whole magic of Schliemann’s Venus in this research. So, this man simply followed the love within, kept silent and worked… Silence brought him to his aim, to the discovery… VENUS AT 27º PISCES In secondary progressions of Heinrich Schliemann for the day of his solar return in the year of commencement of excavations -January 6, 1868, we can see that it is about the real, unconditional love, love that vibrates at 27º Pisces (the degree of Venus’ exaltation), and that requires silence.
research (being retrograde “forces” to research, uncover secrets, everything that is hidden… ), and it was positioned almost at the degree of its exaltation (27º Pisces) – at 26º Pisces 44’! On the very day of discovery, April 27, 1870, Schliemann’s secondary Venus was still retrograde, and at 26º Pisces 14’ (still close to 27º Pisces)! Since we know that Venus is retrograde on average for 42 days, when we translate it to secondary progressions, it is – around 42 years, so it was to be expected if the secondary Venus was retrograde in the year of commencement of excavations, it would have still been retrograde in the year of the discovery (2 years later), because it moves for about 1º a year, and one year is described by one day. In any case, being retrograde here only favored research, because any research is in the symbolism of being retrograde.
MOON AT 27º PISCES The first thing that catches the eye is that the Venus (love, culture) was retrograde in Furthermore, in the chart of the discovery, secondary progressions, which supports we can see the Moon at 27º Pisces 01’! The E-MAGAZIN RYL - REFRESH YOUR LIFE

significance of this degree is underlined by the day of the premiere of the movie “Troy”, many years later, the movie inspired by the Trojan war, great love of Helen and Paris. The premiere was on May 14, 2004, in Malta, where the great part of the movie was filmed, and in the chart for the premiere day, the Moon was – do you guess where? Yes, exactly at the degree of Venus’ exaltation, at 27º Pisces!!!
Aphrodite the most beautiful and awarded her the golden apple. That enraged Hera and Athena. Paris went to take Helen, which caused the Trojan War which lasted for 10 years… As soon as Paris stood face to face with the most beautiful of all mortal women, he fell in love at the first sight. She liked him too. Of course, Aphrodite was “guilty” of that -- she caused such a blazing love for Paris in Helen, so Helen forgot about her husband, THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE daughter and kingdom and sailed to Troy with WORLD (27º PISCES) AND THE CAUSE OF Paris. TROJAN WAR If we take a look at Greek mythology, we find that Paris was one of many sons of the Trojan king Priam, and he became famous for eloping with the beautiful Helen, the wife of Spartan king Menelaus, which caused the Trojan War. But, this story has a foreword…
Let us remember the myth of Leda, the wife of Spartan king Tyndareus, who was seduced by Zeus in a form of a swan, for only then he could have approached her. Leda born Helen (the girl whose beauty will cause the Trojan War later) and Polydeuces with Zeus.
Beautiful Helen actually run away with Paris to Troy, which is exactly the picture of Venus in Pisces – the girl secretly running away with her lover… Since mythology is also the basis of astrology, and good knowledge of myths can only make the whole story more beautiful, then at the very 27º Pisces, the degree of Venus’ exaltation there is the degree that Three goddesses wanted the apple – Hera, also describes Troy. Also, on one hand this Athena and Aphrodite. They asked Zeus to degree depicts the goddess Aphrodite, who say which one is the fairest, but he refused is married to old and ugly Hephaestus, but at to get involved, and called upon Paris to do the same time she is secretly involved with it. According to tradition, Hera was the most Ares, the god of war – and on the other hand beautiful in Greek mythology, mainly because it depicts beautiful Helen, the most beautiful of her big beautiful eyes. Aphrodite had the woman in the world, who came to Paris with most seductiveness and erotic charm, while the help of Aphrodite, who is also married to Athena was the most mental, intellectual, an older man (like Aphrodite herself), but in rational, regarded as asexual being by love with young and beautiful Paris, just like Greeks, so her beauty was seldom described. Aphrodite is in love with Ares… Yes, certainly, All three tried to bribe Paris. Hera offered to the most beautiful woman in the world, the make him a king of Europe and Asia, Athena to real, “secret”, unconditional love, and Troy – gift him with the wisdom and skill of war, but all that lives at 27º Pisces! Aphrodite offers something entirely different THE LAND OF TROY – the hand of the most beautiful woman in the world, Helen, the wife of Spartan king At the end, if we take a look at the chart of Menelaus. Paris agreed to that, declared Turkey, the country of Troy, we see the cusp of At the celebration of marriage of Peleus and Thetis, arranged by Zeus, the supreme god, Eris, the goddess of discord and strife was not invited. But, she comes to the celebration, and angrily rolls a golden apple, known as “the apple of discord”. The words “for the fairest” are inscribed on the apple!

8th house (research, excavations), in Capricorn (something old, from before) at 27º Capricorn. Since both Pluto and Saturn are related to archaeology, i.e. series 8 in combination with series 10, the sign of Capricorn, Saturn, then in the cusp of 8 in Capricorn in the chart of Turkey we have depiction of archaeological excavations, and since this cusp is in the exact sextile with 27º Pisces, the degree where the story of the most beautiful woman lives, or better put where the story of the most beautiful women lives – Aphrodite and Helen (remember, Paris had to judge that Aphrodite was the most beautiful in order to be given the hand of the most beautiful – Helen), then it is completely clear that Turkey is famous for this archeological site that is related to the story of the most beautiful woman in the world who caused the war (8th house), who was inevitable…
Schliemann was led by great enthusiasm and above all, great love for Troy. He did not speak of that, and remember the beginning of this story – he did not apply for the permit, for it would have destroyed the whole magic… So, when you find something you love, be quiet about it, for then 27º Pisces becomes revived in the best possible way, becoming the channel for both real, “secret” love and beauty. This story of Troy is just another confirmation that real, unconditional love “lives” at 27º Pisces, and it requires silence and “secret”…
