INNOVATIVE DESIGN /////////////////////
SINGLE-LEG TOWER If you look at the tower profile of a modern Reinke pivot, you’ll see one piece of steel connecting the wheel base to the top. We call this a single-leg tower. As an innovator in the field, we’ve moved away from the double-angle leg design still used by our competitors. In comparison, our single-leg tower uses one steel piece instead of two, zero cross bracing, and galvanized stiffeners with mere, 3-inch diameters. This creates a tower leg with less surface area to block water. It also allows the pivot to pass through taller crops without causing damage or breakage to the crop. The single-leg tower design doesn’t sacrifice strength or structural integrity; in fact, it enhances them. The Reinke C-channel, single-leg tower uses roll-formed, high-strength galvanized steel — 9-gauge, with a 60,000 psi minimum yield. This highstrength, low-alloy steel is lighter than standard steel.

The C-channel leg removes the need for cross bracing, thus eliminating additional weight. Galvanized stiffeners attached to the bottom of the trussing divert stress from the water pipe, distributing it evenly to the entire span. The superior design doesn’t transfer stress directly to the pipe, and it reduces component fatigue, resulting in a longer system life with less maintenance.
Reinke’s C-channel leg eliminates the need for cross-bracing between tower legs.
