ILLUSTRATION: FASHION AND COSTUME 19 JUNE
Now this is an uber-cool art event that will have all members of the family feeling inspired! Newcastle Arts Centre is back with another fabulous event this June and this time, they’re bringing the vibrant world of fashion illustrations to the forefront. The magazine-lovers and book connoisseurs among you will have noticed that household names such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar have recently returned to using fashion illustrations for their front covers. With this art form at the height of popularity at the minute, NAC has put together a brilliant workshop that will welcome all abilities (thank god!) to get involved making pencil sketches from photographs and actual fashion items, as well as finished works in ink and acrylic paints. Be sure to tag us in your beautiful creations online and who knows, you could end up designing our 400th front cover! Newcastle-arts-centre.co.uk
