The Life of
Sandra
AnnLee
Sandra Ann Lee was born to the union of David and Joann Lee in Detroit, MI on January 26, 1967. She accepted Christ at an early age. Sandra spent her entire life in Detroit, MI where she attended Pershing High School. After earning her diploma, she went on to Baker College earning a degree with Honors in Surgical Technology. Sandra then went on to work at Sinai Grace Hospital for 7 years, moving on from Grace to St. John Oakland where she stayed for 10 years. Sandra loved her profession. She loved to be a healer and helping others was her calling; this showed through her working countless hours while being a single mother and caring for her ailing mother in the process. She continued to work as a surgical tech until her health became an issue, forcing her to retire early, giving up the profession she loved so dearly. Even with her health issues, she remained devoted to caring for her mother until the day she departed. Sandra had a love for watching football, basketball and last but not least her court TV. She also enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Bria, whom she nicknamed “Honey Bee”. Sandra found great joy in being a Nana, as Bria would call her, spending “Diva Time” with each other, painting their nails and brushing each others hair. Sandra departed this life on October 29, 2018. She leaves to cherish and celebrate her life, one son, Joshua Lee; loving and devoted parents, Joanne Lee of Detroit and David Lee (Vernessar) of Detroit, MI; one brother, Eric Lee of Fenton, MI; one granddaughter, Bria Lee; two special aunts, Sophia Benson of Pontiac, MI and Dorothy Kinnie of Detroit, MI; a very special cousin Charles Payne Jr. of Detroit, MI; a best friend Veda Tiggs and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

OG!! It’s crazy your gone! Your life ended but time still must go on, nobody never really explained it to me, how elders say take your time but yet and still, life waits for no one. I love you OG, I was your only child, it’s been us for 26 years. I don’t know what I’m going to do without you, I just know I have to move forward. You raised me as a man, being a single mother, you did a good job, I’ll always remember you encouraging words. I thank you for everything Ma! I love you, I hope I make you proud. Love, Your son Joshua
Auntie, I love you so much and I hate God chose you to go at this time and I’m not there to stand with y’all and help my brother and the rest of the family this hurts extra cause you always gave Genuine love to me like I was your own son. Even when everyone would talk down on me becuase they thought I was a bad seed, our bond is unbreakable. I love you like a mom and that’s what you’ll be to me in this life or the next. I love you and I know you are watching over me and Bro. Love Jr. |5
In Memory of You
Sandra, as I sit here and ponder how very much I’d like to talk with you today, because there are so many things that we didn’t get to say. I know how much you cared for me, and how much I cared for you, and each time that I think of you I know you’ll miss me too. An angel came and took you by the hand, and said your place was ready in Heaven, far above... And you had to leave behind, all those you dearly loved. You had so much to live for, you had so much to do... It still seems impossible that God was taking you, and though your life on earth is past, in Heaven it starts anew. You’ll live for all eternity, just as God has promised you. Although you’ve walked through Heaven’s gate we are never far apart. For every time I think of you, you’re right here, deep within my heart. Love your Sis, Sandy 6|
You fill the world with special joy and happiness untold. You always had a sunny way and a loving heart of gold. You know all of my dark deep secrets and they will be untold. I really miss the conversations that we shared (special catch up Saturdays). The memories that we share, you left behind, I will always miss you especially your beautiful smile. I’m going to miss you Sandra, you rest on rest. Your best friend Veda
