A Precious One A precious one from us has gone, A voice we love is stilled, A place is vacant in our hearts which never can be filled. And after a lonely heartache, and many a silent tear but always a beautiful memory of one we love so dear. Miss you already! Love you Steve, Mukie

Steven Gregory Evans affectionately known as Steve, was born September 19, 1951 to the late JW and Annie Ruth Evans. Steve was the second oldest of four children, Coleman Jerry, Rebecca Denise, who proceeded him in death, and Superintendent Alan Ross. Steve was born and raised on the eastside of Detroit and attended the Detroit Public School System. Steve graduated from Kettering Senior High School where he met his high school sweetheart, Sharon Owens. They married in September of 1972. Steve began working at Chrysler Corporation in July 1971. He worked at Chrysler at different locations until he retired in 2007. Steve was the cool uncle. From the oldest to the youngest all the nieces and nephews loved Steve and he loved all of them, especially Alyssa and the twins, Amanda and Jason, who were raised by Steve and Sharon. They called him “Big Daddy”. There were so many layers to Steve. He was a huge history buff. He knew everything about every subject possible. He was proud of his black culture and wouldn’t hesitate to tell you about it. 4|

Remembering You
1
Dear Steve, We miss you already. We just want to say farewell, and thank you for everything. You took the best of care of all of us. Especially our children, and their children with the hot cheetos and chocolate milk. You were a man of few words, and not sentimental, but you had the largest heart and we felt the love. It’s hard to say goodbye. Just know that we will take care of each other. We will love and remember you always. Forever in our hearts, Nieces and Nephews From the eldest to the youngest
