With this years Budding Brumbies expanding to SIRU and SCM we now see 11 clubs (Wests, South Coast, Gunghalin, Easts, Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Royals, Queanbeuyan, Albury, Vikings and Uni Norths) running the program. Budding Brumbies is an introduction to rugby for kids ages 4-9 years and is run over the four Fridays of November. With over 450 participants in this years program it has been an overwhelming success. A massive thanks to all club coaches and parents for the support over the program.

On Friday the 5th of December over 300 kids from all over the Brumbies region came together for the Budding Brumbies Bonanza day at Brumbies HQ. The event saw the boys and girls participant in plenty of fun activities. On deck was Brumbies players Jordan Smiler, Jarrad Butler, Scott Sio, Jesse Mogg, Robbie Coleman, JP Smith, Michael Dowsett and Allan Alaalatoa who all participated and helped coach the junior aspiring Brumbies. The drills were followed up by a signing and meet the players.

Sevens Rep Squads
On Saturday 18th October Junior Gold cup trials were held at Brumbies HQ at the University of Canberra. The trials were to select the 2015 U15 and U17 Brumbies Junior representative sides and both age groups had approximately 70 triallists in each. Triallists were mostly nominated to attend but the trials were essentially “open”.
Both the girls and boys U18 sevens extended squads have been named and will train over summer leading into the National champs. The teams are as follows;
Ultimately the 2 age groups have now been narrowed down to 25 man squads, and each squad can be found to in the left hand column.
