Range of 18 vintage-look tapware in bronze and chrome Taking its cue from the trend towards the vintage-look, Kohler has introduced a range of bathroom tapware that references the form and ornamentation of the Edwardian period. Artifacts is a standout range of tapware that features detailed turnings and finials, elegant spouts and swing-lever handles in a choice of three finishes: oil-rubbed bronze; vibrant brushed bronze; and polished chrome. Each piece is distinct in terms of form and ornamentation; but while the aesthetics are vintage, the range’s performance is full of innovation. Basin taps are 5-Stars WELS rated, using less than six litres of water a minute; engineered ceramic discs resist deterioration and mineral build-up; and the polished chrome, oil-rubbed bronze and vibrant brushed bronze finishes feature Kohler’s corrosion and tarnish-resistant surface. The range of 18 pieces comprises single and twin-handle basin sets; shower/bath mixers with and without diverter; two handle deck-mounted bath set; plus a wall mount bath spout. Black countertop bathroom basins with slim profile Black is having a major moment in bathrooms and the new, super slim basin from Kohler is no exception. The elegant Mica honed black countertop vessel in both a square and round format brings a refined sense of style to any bathroom-renovation, but that is only part of the story. Adhesive for hardwood timber floors Bostik recently developed AXIOS™, their next-generation adhesive for hardwood timber floors. From window sills and skirting boards, to furniture and staircases, refreshing internal features can make a big difference to the overall look and feel of a home-renovation. Indoor sanding, especially for vertical surfaces or hard-to-reach areas, is often perceived as a difficult or dusty job. But not with the Roundy, Mirka’s new dust-free sanding-system. Maharam continues to broaden its offering of Textiles of the 20th Century™ with the introduction of the Alphabet Sheer and Stars Sheer by Alexander Girard. Originally produced as wallcoverings, the two designs have now been adapted in close cooperation with the Girard Studio for window coverings. Created as hand-printed wallpaper in 1952 during Girard’s first year as design director for Herman Miller’s textile division, Alphabet has now been reimagined as a burnout drapery utilizing an industrial silkscreen process. A burnout occurs when the material undergoes chemical treatment to dissolve the fibres, creating a semi-transparent effect. Maintaining its original scale, Alphabet’s crisp, typographic pattern is rendered as transparent text embedded in an opaque white ground. Its stencilled pattern is one of many Girard designs centred on typography—a theme seen throughout his career. Stars was originally designed as an Environmental Enrichment Panel for Herman Miller in 1972 to “personalize and add an element of aesthetic functionalism” to furniture systems and office spaces. Winter painting ideas from Dulux Colour is the easiest and most effective way to create the restful sanctuary that many of us look forward to in the cooler months. Dulux paint-experts say that for this winter the mood is minimalist, casual, yet elegant; with a colour scheme of cool greys and warm natural tones inspired by Dulux’s Essential palette – one of the four key palettes identified in the Dulux Colour Trends 2018. Think uncomplicated design combined with pale grey and accents of putty, rust, grey green and terracotta. With its soft, muted shades, this palette is all about laidback sophistication and simplicity. Colour is a powerful decorating tool. It can change the mood of a space and elicit emotions in those who spend time there .But when updating your colour scheme you don’t necessarily have to go all out – sometimes small changes can create all the impact you need. Aged brass bathroom basin The Spanish word “arroyo” references a small steep-sided watercourse after rain. During the colder months water-vapour from showers, baths and cooking is drawn into attic/roof-spaces, and condenses to form moisture which contributes to a damp environment.
