An awareness-raising and support strategy was implemented that included counseling mothers from the prenatal phase (third trimester of gestation) through the breastfeeding period (third post-test), addressing doubts and concerns and reinforcing good practices, which enhanced the extent of exclusive breastfeeding.

By training and updating the knowledge of health professionals and community health volunteers on different topics related to primary health care and public health emergencies, we increased the response capacity and quality of health care in the health facilities and communities where the project was carried out.
