Meeting Minutes ~ September 17, 2015 Attendance Members: Ben Eubank, Geoff Pashkowski, Corey Bruggeman, Kent Hendricks, Patrick de Haan, Karen Ingersoll Guest: Nigel Brooks (Nigel actually came in before the meeting to repay Ben for the “loan” from last week.) 7:00 AM: Meeting called to order by President Geoff. Invocation: Ben Eubank Pledge of Allegiance: Geoff Pashkowski Four-way Test: #1 – Kent, #3 – Larry, #2 – Karen, Corey got confused and did #3 again… then did #4. Way to get it done guys!
Discussion 1. It’s Larry’s Birthday!! Happy Birthday to you Larry! 2. Texas Football Report by Ben Eubank 3. Pat shared some wonderful stories from his and Bobbi’s vacation in Volcano, Hawaii. AND he brought presents! We all got our very own Volcano, Hawaii pencils. While there, Pat visited the Volcano Rotary club and gave a presentation. Afterwards, he made them all honorary elves… and they all donned the hats he brought them. They were so impressed by our club (and the whoopee cushion didn’t hurt!) that they voted to add a #5 to the Four-way Test: Is it fun?. How cool is that! Pat motioned that we make and send them a banner with the 5-way test and both our logos on it. Motion unanimously passed! 4. A second motion was made to make the Volcano Club Rotary an official Sister Club. That motion passed unanimously as well. 5. Club business – all confirmed that Larry is the Treasurer and is allowed to access and transfer funds for both Tempe Rio Salado and Camelback Crossroads. It was also agreed that Bobbi de Haan be removed from both accounts. Motions made and passed. 6. The Mexico Orphanage project went really well, and included volunteers from Rotoract. 7. Phil Corderoy’s visit was discussed… possible activities while he is here.

Kent is happy that Iowa State did well. Just had nine people and three dogs staying at his place for his nieces wedding. Nice!
Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy BIRTHday dear Laaarrrrry… Happy Birthday Youuuuu! (we sang it, and it was beautiful. Like a choir of angels! LOL) Larry is happy that the website for the charity event is done. Check it out at www.4thcopscasinonight.eventbrite.com .
Pat’s rental house in Prescott Valley has water damage that includes mitigation for lead paint and asbestos in the popcorn ceiling. Happy that he has four new domain names for his Santa activities. They are: therealclaus.com, therealclaus.org, therealclaus.us, and authenticsanta.us.
Karen happy that business is doing well and today is her granddaughter’s birthday!
Geoff Kansas has given up only three points in two games… doing well. Two friends with homes in the Dominican Republic are still without water after two hurricanes there. Suggestions from the club included Rotary.org – Water Action Group that could help out.
Ben still hasn’t heard anything from Rotary International about his “feedback”/survey response. Happy to have Pat and Bobbi back in town. Happy – he joined C2 Tactical yesterday. Looking forward to doing some shooting there.
Corey heading to Pinetop next weekend for the car show.
