Meeting Minutes ~ September 24, 2015

Members: Kent Hendricks, Larry Horton, Ben Eubank, Corey Bruggeman, Karen Ingersoll, Geoff Pashkowski, and Patrick de Haan Guest: Jared Leslie – Squaw Peak Rotary, Development Director – Esperanca 7:00 AM: Meeting called to order by Corey Bruggeman Invocation: Ben Eubank Pledge of Allegiance: Larry Horton Four-way Test: Jared Leslie (with assistance) 1. Of note, Corey said “coagulate”. 2. Ben modeled the Mad Scientist lab coat that Pat brought. Hysterical! It was a perfect fit… in so many, many ways! 3. Texas Football Report – by Ben Eubank. 4. United Food Bank project has been moved to December 12th. 5. Pat got a new Santa Suit – donated by some very wonderful folks. After seven years and thousands of kids sitting on his lap, it was time for a new one! 6. Jared brought a thank you gift to Ben for the medical equipment donations. Ben donated some top of the line surgical equipment which will be shipped to Nicaragua and help save hundreds of lives there. 7. Phil Corderoy’s visit discussed: Monday, Oct. 5th – Phil arrives Tuesday, Oct. 6th – Grand Canyon with Ben, Corey, and Larry. Then a TRS/CXR dinner hosted by Corey and Patti Bruggeman. Wednesday, Oct. 7th – Recovery Day. Thursday, October 8th – Morning Club, then off to the Reservation and Children’s Museum with Pat. Tour of Police Department with Larry. And dinner with CXR Friday, October 9th – Phil is headed home.
Kent had fraud on his credit card, but the bank caught it early. New card on its way! Karen is happy because business is going really well! Just signed up for 7 weeks of intensive training starting in October. Pat – Shree has a friend who is a journalism student at ASU. Will stay connected with him and try to get him and other foreign exchange students (a group of friends) involved with CXR. Happy about his new Santa suit! Geoff likes the stories told so far. Ben is happy that his team did well and that the band didn’t embarrass them. Happy that Corey is hosting the party… and sad that he won’t be there when Corey tells Patti. LOL Corey really happy that he hasn’t had any calls about the alarm going off last night for his garage. Pattie’s birthday is next week. Finished the alarm for Richard Harden – former pitcher for the A’s.
