A POWERFUL CURSOR OF 260 KW...
At low rpm, the turbo runs slowly due to the low flow of exhaust gases. In order to increase the speed and therefore the engine power, a computer driven pneumo-mechanical device reduces the intake thus increasing the gas speed (Venturi effect) and the turbo rpm. WALKAROUNDMACHINE [by n A powerful engine brake (264 kW) with no impact on the cooling system The power absorbed by the hydraulic retarder overheats the oil, whereas the exhaust brake overheats the engine. On the other hand, the Iveco Cursor engine brake exploits the sudden opening of the exhaust valve at the end of the compression phase releasing the overheated air on the outside without creating obstructions. The compression phase brakes the engine by itself, whereas during the expansion phase, the cylinder must be “dragged” by the engine to the bottom dead center, creating an additional braking action

The fan speed is determined by a thermoregulated viscostatic joint, according to the cooling need, thus reducing noise, fuel consumption and speeding up the achievement of the ideal engine temperature in cold climates
