THE PLUSES

The AS34 skid loader has the best 1 operating load in this category of machines as well as a certainly above average breakout force. Electronically-controlled turbocharged 2 Yanmar engine - tried and tested - which also manages the EGR actuator. Engine rated at 61 kW net power at 2500 3 RPM and self-protected (the engine speed decreases in case of failure). Machine concept which combines 4 the kinematic design typical of bigger machines with compact dimensions. High performance. Comfortable and well-refined cab. 5 It can become air-condioned and pressurized if the optional cab glass panel kit is choosen. Visibility is good. Three hydraulic circuits with a flow rate of as 6 much as 86 l/min as standard and optional High-Flow circuit with dedicated pump and a flow rate of 134 l/min. Double speed as standard (19 Kmph) 7 and hydrostatic transmission by means of pumps in series (no transmission belt). The skid steer loaders by KATO IMER are designed and manufactured in Italy using firstclass components: Yanmar engine, hydraulic transmission pumps and motors by Bosch Rexroth and hydraulic pumps by Casappa. The new AS34 is an efficient, easy to operate, reliable and accurately refined skid loader.

CLEAN MEANS SAFE The accurate design of the AS34 skid is not to be underestimated. As shown in the round picture on the left, a little door for cleaning with direct discharge to ground is located at the bottom of the footrest compartment.

DOOR AND AIR CONDITIONER AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST Air conditioner is supplied as standard when choosing the option “cab glass panel kit”. The air conditioner condenser is mounted inside the engine compartment cover.

Radiators are cooled by a belt-driven blower fan. Fresh air is sucked far above the ground between the cab and the hinge points - and after passing through the whole engine compartment it is finally blown outside through the parallelmounted radiators in the rear of the machine. SAFETY SENSOR The sensor that is shown in the round picture on the left prevents from opening the radiators compartment when engine is on, that is when blower is running. Should that occur, the engine automatically turns off.

RADIATORS ECOLOGICAL DISCHARGES Smart tap discharge outlets for emptying out radiators atomize coolant and hydraulic oil flow, thus allowing to stop operations without soiling the ground surface.

Electric diesel-oil pump

WALKAROUND

Reliable power 16 VALVES The 4TNV98T Yanmar engine has 4 valves per cylinder, which means higher torque at low rated RPM and optimized combustion process under stress conditions.

SELF-PROTECTED It is an electronicallycontrolled engine. When sensors detect low engine oil pressure or too high coolant temperature, the ECU reduces RPM and power till the failure has completely disappeared.

61 KW NET POWER 2500 RPM This skid boasts the highest power among competitors ones which are equipped with different engine types.

RELIABLE TURBINE The 4TNV98T Yanmar engine is a 4-cylinder, turbocharged tried and tested engine.

ELECTRONICALLY-CONTROLLED EGR To reduce the NOx emissions the exhaust gas recirculation on the 4TNV98T Yanmar engine is external and cooled. Thanks to the electronic control of the actuator through the ECU gas recirculation is not continuous but it is performed only when necessary.

HYDRAULIC OIL METAL TANK The hydraulic system has capacity of 80 liters and a 60-liter metal tank with integrated filter in the outlet. The use of a 10 µm maxi-filter (in white colour in the picture on the left) with an electronic differential pressure sensor (shown in the round picture) - which sends a warning message in the operator’s cab in case of filter clogging - is an ad hoc designed solution.

WALKAROUND

As to the AS34 model, KATO IMER has opted for tested hydraulic solutions (little electronics) suitable for the global market. Hydraulics for transmission is supplied by Bosch Rexroth, hydraulics for the equipment is supplied by Casappa. The track gauge increases when crossing tyres.

TWO SPEEDS WITH “SOFT” SHIFTGEAR

The AS34 skid reaches 10 kmph in the first speed mode while it reaches 19 kmph in the second speed mode. A specific valve makes upshifts and downshifts soft.

WORK LIGHTS The work lights as standard are alogen, adjustable and polyellipsoidal. Lamps power being equal, the lenticular technology allows to better direct light on the work area compared to the halogen lamps with parabolic reflector.

Compact arm The tapered shape of the arm front part allows to have a long pace (stability) with attachment near the machine. Even if its width is only 1680 mm the AS34 skid has a reference operating load.

UNIQUE FEATURES ON THE MARKET

The lock plates of the two jacks which control the double plate which is compatible with the most equipment on the market are shown in the here above round picture.

Straddlemounted jacks on the attachment mounting plate (which guarantees high resistance and endurance of the connection) and protected greasing bushings.

The front part of the arm "closed" by a cylindrical cross beam can be clearly seen in the picture. The protected greasing bushings of the attachment mounting plate and the four wearproof pads of the bucket made of Hardox as standard are to be highlighted.

The KATO IMER AS34 skid has a traditional arm which becomes narrower in the front part of the machine (compactness and easier access to the cab) and which is similar to that of bigger machines. Ihimer is, however, the sole manufacturer who supplies it in this category of machines, with overall width at tyres of 1680 mm. Compactness on the front allows to have a wheel base of 1210 mm and a swing tail of 1115 mm. As a result this skid boasts an operating load at the top in its category, i.e. 1040 Kg. Up to 5 hydraulic circuits and 134 l/min The double attachment mounting plate of the AS34 skid is compatible with the most widespread equipment in the world as well as with the CE approved ones. Connections are all flat-face (reliability) and the oil delivery is always adjustable. The bucket rollback angle on ground (27.8°) is above category average one, while the dumping angle is unequalled (44°).

PIPES INSIDE ARMS Except for the High-Flow hydraulic circuits, all hydraulic pipeline for arms and attachment plate control as well as the pipes of the auxiliary hydraulic lines are located inside the arms.

The hydraulic arrangement supplied as standard with the AS34 skid has been designed to meet all markets needs, both the ones of the U.S. market as well as those of the most demanding European markets. The standard flow reaches 86 l/min while this skid is almost a record holder in its category when considering the high-flow pump.

The internal space is the envy of its competitors and glass surface is very wide to favour visibility (low boom profile). The optional glass panels kit enhances operator’s quality of life inside the cab, since it includes air-conditioner, noise insulation, and pressurization (improved air-conditioning efficiency and protection from dust)

The internal cab dimensions speak for themselves. It is a skid but the driving comfort its cab provides is very high and finishes really deserve that name. Except for the footrest basin, the cab interior is covered with rubber of quality and the internal roof cover avoids harmful head bumps. Controls are smartly located on the two pillars.

REAL EMERGENCY EXIT As on several skid steer loaders, the emergency exit on the AS34 skid is the back window. The internal handles (shown in the round picture) are intuitive and the opening is immediate thanks to the absence of the air conditioning condensers which are embossed on the cab.

pressurized PERFECT DESIGN The air conditioner is mounted as standard in the cab glass panel kit version. The air conditioning system has been foreseen since the design phase. The condenser is located under the upper rear hood.

HARDENED AND CONVEX The optional cab door has a one-piece metal structure. The convex window provides the operator with better visibility and wider space.

The "cab glass panel kit" option includes door, side windows and air conditioner.

Cab tilting is easily performed thanks to the hydraulic jacks (just removing two bolts). The insulating soundproof layer which covers the cab interior lower surface is here above illustrated.
