MICHELLE BASTIEN, MSN, NP-C
Henry Ford Hospital
Michelle Bastien currently resides in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada and commutes to work in Detroit, Michigan every day where she works as a Nurse Practitioner in the Adult Rheumatology Clinic at Henry Ford Hospital. She studied nursing at the University of Windsor and received her graduate degree at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She has been practicing in Rheumatology since 2016. Michelle and her husband Raymond have been married since 1998 and have 2 wonderful children.
She enjoys reading, spending time with her family, long walks, camping, and Tai Chi.
SHELBY BROOKS, MSN, APRN, CPNP-PC
Pediatric Rheumatology Consultants of Austin
Shelby Brooks is a board certified pediatric nurse practitioner who specializes in pediatric rheumatology in Austin, Texas. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and master’s degree from Vanderbilt University. She is an active member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society, Association of Rheumatology Professionals, and Pediatric Rheumatology European Society among others. She is a previous rheumatology patient who was diagnosed at the age of two with juvenile psoriatic arthritis and has been an advocate for the field of pediatric rheumatology ever since. Her primary goal when treating patients is to instill resilience
and confidence in every patient she meets. She actively participates in rheumatology innovation and research and will be presenting an abstract on Empowering Pediatric Primary Care Providers to Manage Benign Joint Hypermobility Syndrome with an Educational Packet at this year’s Pediatric Rheumatology European Society Annual Conference in Prague, Czech Republic. She loves direct patient care and creating educational handouts for both primary care providers and patients to achieve better health literacy and advocacy ability. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, eating “Tex-Mex” food, and spending time with friends and family.
LEONARD CALABRESE, DO
Cleveland Clinic, Director, RJ Fasenmyer Center for Clinical Immunology
Leonard Calabrese is a Professor of Medicine, Vice Chair of the Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases and the Co-director of the Centre for Vasculitis Care and Research. He also serves as Director of the RJ Fasenmyer Centre for Clinical Immunology at the Cleveland Clinic. Additionally, he holds appointments in the Department of Infectious Diseases and the Wellness Institute. He has particular clinical and research interests in vascular inflammatory disease of the central nervous system, primary and secondary immunodeficiency states and the intersection of infections and autoimmunity. He serves as the editor of Healio Rheumatology and for over the past 20 years has developed innovative programs to teach basic, clinical and translational immunology to care providers of patients with immune mediated inflammatory diseases. Over the

course of his academic research career, Professor Calabrese has authored over 400 publications including book chapters and peer-reviewed journal articles. CUOGHI EDENS, MD, FAAP University of Chicago
Cuoghi Edens is a board-certified adult and pediatric rheumatologist at the University of Chicago where she is an Assistant Professor and the pediatric rheumatology fellowship program director. Her clinical and research concentration lies in the interplay between the pregnancy, sexual health, contraception, and rheumatic diseases across ages. She is active in the American College of Rheumatology Reproductive Health Initiative and the co-leader of the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Reproductive Health Work Group. She completed her undergraduate and medical school at the University of New Mexico, a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at the University of Michigan and a combined adult and pediatric rheumatology fellowship at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital.
of Nursing. She has been in this position since 2017. Laura received a BSN from Berea College, an MSN from the University of Kentucky, and a PhD from the University of Rochester in 1992. Laura’s academic career as a nurse educator and researcher has focused on how patients manage the symptoms of chronic illness. She has been funded by the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association and authored/co-authored 60 peer-reviewed publications. Her current research focuses on understanding the biological basis for fatigue in women with systemic lupus erythematosus using metabolomics. Laura enjoys mentoring early career faculty and graduate students and in her off time enjoys listening to novels on Audible while taking long walks.
JESSICA JOHNSON, APRN-CNP
SSM Health and Country Road Recovery Center
Jessica Johnson has worked as a Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for six years, but has worked in mental health and drug and alcohol treatment for over 20 years. Working in hospitals, residential treatments, outpatient clinics, detoxes, and jail Jessica has a wide range of experience with both adults and adolescents. Jessica currently works at SSM Health St. Anthony’s in Behavioral Medicine where is has worked for 14 years and County Road Recovery Center part time where she has worked for three years. Jessica graduated from Midwestern State University, Wichita Falls, Texas in 2016 with a Post Master’s Degree.
Laura P. Kimble currently resides in Georgia, where she works as a Clinical Professor and the Assistant Dean of Clinical Advancement at Emory University’s School
Jessica has a great passion and love for treating both mental health and substance use disorders due to growing up in a home where mental health and pain were treated with drugs and alcohol. Ultimately leading to the dead of her father by

CATHERINE M. KOHL, DNP, MSN, BSN, FNP-C, RN, CNOR-E
Premier Rheumatology of Alabama
Catherine M. Kohl is a native of Galesburg, IL but has resided in Auburn, Alabama for the last 35 years. Currently Cathy is a rheumatology nurse practitioner with Premier Rheumatology/Articularis Healthcare.
Prior to joining Articularis Healthcare, Cathy worked at East Alabama Rheumatology, Auburn University School of Nursing and at Mercy Medical in primary care. Cathy holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing and a Doctorate of Nursing Practice.
Cathy brings a wealth of nursing experience to her role as a rheumatology nurse practitioner. She began her nursing career 26 years ago and has worked in areas such as oncology, orthopedic and general surgery, hospice, home health, and primary care. Cathy has spent the last three years working in Rheumatology which has been both her most challenging as well as most satisfying work. She is a strong patient advocate and enjoys being a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the Rheumatology Nurses Society, the American College of Rheumatology, and Sigma Theta Tau, Int., Honor Society of Nursing. Outside work, Cathy enjoys reading, baking, collecting cookbooks, and walking with her dog.
MARIA SHERIDAN, PHARMD, BCNSP Oncology Biosimilars Fresenius Kabi USA, LLC
Maria Sheridan is a pharmacist with inpatient and outpatient clinical experience caring for parenteral nutrition patients with conditions including cancer, autoimmune diseases, intestinal failure, and gastrointestinal and abdominal surgery complications. She spent most of her clinical practice at the Mayo Clinic Florida on a multidisciplinary team prior to transitioning to industry where she continues to contribute to patient care through her passion for scientific education. Maria has presented at local, state, and national professional meetings on biosimilars, pharmacy, and nutrition support topics.
In her current role, Maria leads the oncology biosimilars Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team in Medical Affairs at Fresenius Kabi. The MSLs are responsible for building relationships and facilitating scientific exchange with healthcare practitioners. They are focused on biosimilars and oncology disease state education and research on oncology biosimilars products.
ROXANNE B. SUKOL MD, MS Cleveland Clinic
Roxanne B. Sukol is an internationally recognized expert in health and wellness. As a physician, speaker and writer, she advises C-level executives and medical professionals in Fortune 500 corporations, government agencies, non-profits, and academic organizations. Dr. Sukol has spoken extensively at seminars, events, and conferences including TEDx and has written for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Wall Street Journal, KevinMD.com, Human Pathology, Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), and the Baltimore Review. She

has been quoted in the New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, Arthritis Advisor, Martha Stewart Living, Marie Claire, Redbook, and Prevention Magazine. Dr. Sukol is a 1995 graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine with distinction in Biomedical Ethics, and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). She is author of the blog Your Health is on Your Plate, with over 30 million hits, and a certified yoga teacher.
DEVIN WEIDMAN, MSN, APRN-C
Rheumatology Associates, P.A.
Devin Weidman is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner and has been with Rheumatology Associates, PA in Stuart, Florida since 2002. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Florida in 2000. She is board certified with advanced training in diagnosing and treating rheumatologic diseases as well as preventive care and health maintenance. She is a proud member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society and Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals. Devin prides herself on patient care and is trained in physical and arthritis exams. But even more importantly she a skilled educator and counselor with a particular love for developing relationships with her patients.
Devin and her husband are the proud parents of three children, one still at home. She is an avid runner and completed her first marathon in March 2021. She and her #GirlGangStrong have been training together for several years and this year, challenged themselves to a race a month.
