Robert Rushford Profile: Personal RUSHFORD, Robert John (17/02/61) Robert, the younger of two boys grew up in and around Perth Australia. As a smart young man, he wasn’t much different to many aspiring university students of his day. His sharp mind was soon noticed by his peers and lecturers and after completing his degree in Social Work, he worked for a period of time within the Catholic Church. Robert Rushford’s sense of empathy was spiked during this period and to this day his commitment in working with those less fortunate, those who cannot speak for themselves and those in business who need strategies to get their business on track still holds strong. Background: Rob holds Bachelor degrees in Social Work from Curtin and a Bachelor of Law from Bond University. Robert Rushford resigned from the church and entered corporate life with IBM – holding senior positions at IBM Australia and IBM Global Finance. Once again, it didn’t take long for Robert Rushford to be noticed by his superiors and it seemed the world was unfolding in ways he not dreamed possible. Robert was offered a very senior role in the company, however decided to leave to complete a degree in law. His interest was keen and his insatiable appetite for work resulted in what follows. After his law degree, Robert Rushford set ahead to run his own business interests in diverse and challenging marketing roles, along with consulting position. Robert set up a very successful commercial and property law practice, before selling out in 2004. Robert doesn’t stand still for long and sees opportunity in things others walk right past. He has a talent in assessing and analysing business models and this makes him a very sought-after commodity in the business sector. His current business ventures “Release My Super”, “Rushford Matheson Advisory”, ethical financier “Caveat Busters” and rehabilitation referral service, “Broken Ladder” are all very uniquebusiness models and fill a niche in the market. Release My Super – stands for those seeking early release of their superannuation funds, when life throws them a curve ball.
