or those of you who know me fairly well the next statement may sound a bit incongruent with some of my philosophies. I am in partial agreement with
last year concerning the punishment meted out to Griffith and Hammod was completely wrong. The initial suspensions and banishment from the state
the IHSAA is appealing that decision in hopes of having the original sanctions reinstated which would strip Griffith of its sectional, regional and semi-

(The statement was not difficult to make, but agreeing with the IHSAA is excruciating.) In addition to the actions they took, I think they did not go far enough. They should have forfeited both teams entire season and banned them from the post season tournament for at least two years and put them on probation for at least three years. kicked another player supine on the floor should have criminal charges brought against her, “juvenile” or not. My other hope is the one Pike player who refrained from engaging in the brawl by staying on her team’s bench, suffers no deleterious repercussions, scholastically or athletically, from merely being associated with the thug(s).
It is time for more reactions/ opinions from my readers. I am planning some format changes to Ronnie’s Ramblings and I would like your opinions and comments. Much like sports & More, its final issue had significant design and content changes compared its first issue 18 years earlier. So the evolution of Ronnie’s
Ramblings design and content will evolve and change with the help of its readers. The first thing I am considering is to eliminate the “Results” page. Although, there is occasionally significant information there, it can be a bit inconsistent in volume and source. Some school sent copious amounts of result information to me, others, not so much; thus the inconsistencies Second, modifying the number of events I cover. When Sports & More began, it was intended to focus exclusively on Hendricks county events, county versus county activities. Obviously SAM and Ramblings has outgrown that concept. I believe it is time to return to that format; county versus count events only, with the exception of The IHSAA postseason tournaments. As many events involving county school would be covered. Let me know what you think.
