RONNIE’S RAMBLINGS
A
s a political independent I typically do not openly support one candidate of another, although, I will on occasion comment on members of either major party. Today, I would like to comment on the republican Mr. Cruz. Mr. Cruz and I have only two things in common, we are both mammals and we are both males. Beyond that the only positive attribute I can find in Mr. Cruz is that he makes a perfect bad example. Having written that; I must commend Mr. Cruz on his prediction that the voting public in the Hoosier state would move the Republican presidential nominating process forward and be of significant importance. I believe his prediction was that the positive forward progress would be in his favor. That
4
Lines in the sand are being drawn part of his predictions was, at best, inaccurate, Now that Mr. trump will be the Republican presidential nominee (barring some catastrophe), I/we will be spared the infantile name calling and idiocy between Misters Trump and Cruz. I am sure Mr. Trump will now focus most if
not all of this vitriol at the presumed Democrat nominee, Ms. Clinton. Being relieved of the Republicans self-basing each other, the media attention will probably be on Ms. Clinton and Mr. Sanders presidential nominee efforts. The Democrat contenders have
also been sniping at each other. In the early stages of this nominating campaign their bickering was a bit more respectful and diplomatic. That air of civility has come to an end. Ms. Clinton in her arrogance and Mr. Sanders in his naiveté are going to go at it tooth and nail until the convention. Be prepared for a significant increase in the level and volume of accusations and
counter accusations from both Ms. Clinton and Mr. Sanders. What will be if significant interest to me is If Mr. Trump will be able to bring the Republican insider, establishment, political lifers together with those who want a change in the rigid Republican mind-set that is pervasive with many life-long stalwart, mainstream Republicans. Assuming Ms. Clinton is the
democrats nominee, I am similarly interested in seeing if she can unite the typical liberal democrats with the Sander’s progressive Democrats. Will they all come together to defeat the Republicans or will they separate into a “my way or no way” attitude. If either party is serious about winning the presidency as well as down ballot contests, each must find relevant issues on which they can find a common purpose to present a united front to do battle with their opponents. I have not decided for whom or if will vote for president. I do know I will not vote for Mr. Trump, but I may also not vote for the democrat candidate either. Just found the worst page in the entire dictionary. What I saw was disgraceful, disgusting, dishonest, and disingenuous.
