FOCUS: TABLES
ROOMSTORE FOCUS CATALOGUE no. 9
Dear reader, In our previous focus catalogue we focused on dining chairs and to complement the chairs, we will focus on tables and table lamps in this edition of the Roomstore Focus catalogue. As our brands have a strong assortment of tables, we have selected a wide range of models that all can play a central centerpiece in most interior decorations. The tables that we have chosen for this catalogue are all very different in their look and materials. For example the Surface Table from Established & Sons, which is produced in collaboration with experts from the Formula 1 industry. In the production Established & Sons have used the opportunity to work with ultra-thin carbon that is normally being used for building Formula 1 cars. Do you wish to read more about this table or any of the other tables, simply continue reading this catalogue. On the last pages we have picked out a couple of table lamps to show you how they can be combined with the tables. The lamps come in different colours and shade shapes. You can find more models and colours on our website www.roomstore.dk. We hope that you will be inspired by this focus catalog. You are always welcome to contact us for further information. Best wishes, Thomas & Brian Team Contract Roomstore

BIG WILL MAGIS
Product Big Will Table
Big Will extending table marks a new chapter in a gripping story, in which the Magis philosophy and technology, with its friendly shapes and rigorous production, meets the creative spirit of Philippe Starck, design star of indisputable fame. Big Will’s most striking and characterful features are its wheels – positioned at the extending end of the table - and the die-cast aluminium structure, which comes either in a glossy finish or painted white or black.

05 – Magis
It measures 200 x 100 cm closed, but with two 50-cm extension leaves, it can reach a maximum overall length of three metres. The table can be extended effortlessly, without needing to lift it, simply by gliding the extending end on the floor thanks to the two wheels, and to a patented sliding and locking mechanism developed especially for Big Will.
Products: Baguette Table and Chair_One
“Baguette is a large, rectangular table in two parts. An opaque top sits on a slender yet highly resistant aluminium base. We paid particular attention to the frame of this table, seeking to use as little aluminium as possible in our design. The visual effect is that the look of the table is of a heavy top supported only by four spindly legs”. - Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec have been working together for about ten years now. Their collaboration is a permanent dialogue, nourished by their distinct personalities and a shared notion of diligence, with the intention to achieve greater balance and refinement. The Bouroullecs have been working with Magis since 2004, designing two complete furniture collections as well as other projects.

SURFACE TABLE
ESTABLISHED & SONS Surface Table is designed by Terence Woodgate and John Barnard for Established & Sons. Two Royal Designers for Industry, one from the world of furniture design, and one from the world of Formula 1 racing car design, collaborated to create the Surface Table, a super-slim composite table. A true engineering accomplishment, the incredible Surface Table uses state-of-the-art auto-sport technology to exploit the inherent rigidity and strength of carbon fibre.

09 – Established & Sons
The 2mm thick edge and long span defies the eye with its improbable lightness and solidity. Radius corners, round legs, domed feet and rounded edges accentuate the slimness and seamlessness of the design.

ZERO-IN
ESTABLISHED & SONS
Product: Zero-In Table and Torch Lights
A softened square with rounded angles, the toughened glass top is strong, secure and has a high load capacity (weight is evenly distributed through the fully supported perimeter). Whether as a display surface for treasured books or a frame for interesting items, from whichever angle you look at it, this is a design that can be appreciated in its pure form.
11 – Established & Sons
Constructed from an apparently seamless ribbon, the Zero-In table’s shadow gap (hidden feet) and smooth finish make it a favourite with architects and their tech-friendly, modern interiors. The Zero-In utilises a dualwall construction that makes it possible for the slopes to converge at an unexpected angle.

SCREW TABLE TOM DIXON
Screw Table from Tom Dixon is a simple, honest design, inspired by materials and processes of the industrial revolution. Its rotating top on a threaded steel pole allows for adjustable height, while being sturdy, durable, elegant and ideally suited for use both inside and outside.

SLAB TABLES TOM DIXON
Celebrating the natural beauty of oak, Slab Dining Table is a robust piece constructed in angular forms of inviting simplicity. The surface is deeply brushed to expose the grain of natural oak. Slab Tables from Tom Dixon is inspired by the stance and general demeanour of a bull; its haunchy aspect and muscular poise were translated into a chair and table set. Each piece has generous proportions, solid materiality and is softened with a gently radius edge. Only represented in Denmark

LAMPE GRAS DCW ÉDITIONS
The French company DCW is founded by Philippe Cazer and Frédéric Winkler, in 2007. Their mutual passion for design had its starting point in Bernard-Albin Gras and his Gras lamp, which DCW put into production, as the first design of many.
17 – DCW Éditions
Bernard-Albin Gras was one of the most innovative designers of the 20th century. The functional esthetic of his lamps and especially the design of details such as those of the arms, stems, brackets and bases were truly original and far ahead of his time. Early on, Le Corbusier was seduced by the modern design and user-friendliness of the lamps and became one of Bernard-Albin Gras’ most enthusiastic supporters.
WALNUT TOUCH TALA
