Over the past 50 years, the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and the Colorado Springs community have worked together to create one of the most innovative and fastestgrowing University of Colorado campuses, meeting the needs of Colorado's second-largest metropolitan area and beyond. We have come so far from our initial university program offerings of engineering and business; today UCCS offers 37 bachelor's, 19 master's, and five doctoral degrees in six colleges and schools. I can hardly believe as of fall 2014 we have over 11,000 students enrolled on campus. I am gratified by the diverse
student population that we serve and graduate and am especially proud of the number of first generation students whose college graduation changes not only their lives but the lives of future generations. As we look back on our shared accomplishments, we move forward with excitement about what the

Sutherland wins 2014 Horton Smith Award Mollie Sutherland, director, PGA Golf Management Program, College of Business, received the Professional Golfers Association Horton Smith Award during a Nov. 7 awards gala at Colorado Golf Club, Parker. The Horton Smith Award is designed to give special recognition to an individual PGA professional for outstanding and continuing contributions to professional education. Horton Smith was a 37year member of the PGA and former association president.
