Huntington Disease Team Walk The Huntington Disease Hope Walk was so much fun! I got the opportunity to meet some of the new Key Club members from other schools, and got to bond with everyone. It was also an inspiring event seeing all these people come out for this cause! There were many free activities to be able to participate in, like playing with a beach volleyball. Tip: playing with a ball filled with air directly next to the ocean isn’t a good idea, but let's just leave it at that! Also, we saw many dogs that made the event so much better. I had a great time with everyone, and I can't wait for more events to come!-Natalie Yu, Webmaster

Sunday Stroll The Sunday Stroll was certainly an interesting festival. There were a lot of people from kids to grandparents that stole crayons from the arts and crafts center. I still don’t know why they did that. Aside from that point, this event had almost everything children would want to play with, like bubbles, cup pong, sand art, drawing, music, volleyball, and more. I would probably have enjoyed it more if I was able to participate in the activities; however, watching the joy in the children’s eyes as they played warmed my heart despite the cold weather.-Sandra Cao, Treasurer

Chinatown’s Mid-Autumn Moon Festival & Parade

The Mid-Autumn Moon Festival and Parade started out with cold and windy weather. Despite waking up early on this day, I still had fun helping out at the event. During this event the other volunteers and I had to help with setting up, running the activities, and at the end, packing up. When the festival started, I helped hand out gifts to people that passed by. Even though the weather wasn’t warm or hot, I felt happy when I saw the smiles on the little children’s faces when they received a keychain I was handing out. When the lunch break arrived, all the volunteers were served delicious Chinese food. There were so many different options and types to choose from that it all took up two big tables. Overall, this event was really fun and exciting that you wouldn’t even be bothered by the cold and windy weather.-Cathy Yang, member

at Howard Beach I really enjoyed the diversity of the neighborhood and people. This event was a great way to build my communication and listening skills. I also enjoyed getting to know more about some of the other people from key club. I learned and experienced many things which have taught me important lessons that will come in handy later on in life. I can’t wait for the next event and to meet more fun and interesting people. -Ryan Kwon, member
