Brand Overview Lotus House is an organization dedicated to improving the lives of homeless women, youth and children. We provide sanctuary, support, education, tools and resources that empower them to heal, learn, grow and blossom into who they are truly meant to be. To support our mission, we also advocate to inspire innovative, holistic solutions that truly break the cycle of childhood abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Our vision is that every homeless woman, youth and child will have the opportunity to heal, learn, grow and build the foundation for a brighter future.
New logo The design of the new logo was driven by the idea of making it recognizable and cohesive with the name of the organization. The previous logo lacked brand identity and had too many words. I decided to simplify the logo and make it relevant. I figured the best way to make the logo distinguishable is if we made the name “Lotus House� come to life. The lotus flower represents self-regeneration and beauty even in the muddiest waters, while the house represents a safe haven. Fusing these ideas together, a new logo is born. A logo that encompasses resilience and refuge.

Color palette Celebrating feminity and nature, I decided to go with the color pink for the lotus flower and green for the lily pads that surround the flower. The color palette aligns with the organization’s vision of femininity and resilience.

The font is bold just like the logo so as to match its weight. The boldness is daring and adventurous. With just the right amount of weight, it remains clean and professional. The Lotus House logo can be played with in a few different colorways. The recommended display is full color with the light pink background. The background can be in any of the two lightest shades of pink (Blushing Bride) and green (Seedling) as the background. The background should never be any of the darker shades.
