Alley Brewery Recreation Center By Stefan Cole

Within the City of Boston filled with thousands of people around you at all times. It becomes easy to become disconnected especially during the pandemic we are living through today. The main theme of my project is bridging connections whether this be through the activities offered by the space or within experience of space itself. The current space is cut off and dark but through a clean connected circulation plan bridging across the space everyplace can feel connected and important. Not only do I want to do this through circulation but also through the views from space to space crumbing way yet controlled. Lastly art connects people and the place whether its as an artist yourself leaving a mark on a mural or meeting new friends at a offered studio class you feel just as connected as the person who comes just to experience the art.

THE ALLEN BEWERLY COMMUNITY THE NEW PROJECT WAS BORN FROM THE NEEDS OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND EFFORS TO ACTIVATE AND REUSE THE EXISTING BUILDINGS. THE IDEA IS CREATE A PROGRAM THAT CAN PROVIDE SERVICES FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND A NEW CENTRALITY. BASED ON THE INITIAL STARTING POINT, THE CONCEPT OF PRIVATE AND PUBLIC PROGRAMS WAS BORN. THE MAIN IDEA TO GENERATE THREE AREAS WITH DIFFERENT USES, DIVIDED THROUGH THE INTERACTION OF DIFFERENT USERS, BUT CONNECTED, THROUGH CIRCULATIONS, AT THE UPPER AND THE LOWER LEVELS.
