CUT MASTER PLAN
these partial diagrams on my site of how Dorchester Avenue is a busy street, and my intentions were to welcome those people to the site and use what sasaki’s creates to work together to sort of connect them with what Nico St has been
My project includes connecting streets that reach north to south to west to provide connections to the existing street network. The intention is to lead all people through this Complex and therefore all paths of travel connect to visitors to an outdoor amphitheater and waterfront. All vehicle, walking and bike lanes that run north and south navigate to the center of the project, a dynamic water bridge. The new urban outdoor space allows the city to reach over the channel for the first time. And create clear focuses towards the heart of my site and where they need to go as a community.
STRIDE is taking “a big step” forward for Boston, towards more jobs, safe streets connected to various housing units and common areas. There are designed zones for innovative learning complexes, amongst this living and working community complex. The results of safe streets and a dynamic urban fabric prioritizes human wellness. STRIDE, a new walkable, drivable and bike friendly network for living, working and well-being encourages people to come all the way in and experience where the land meets water at the Fort Point Channel.
