Please see below some information explaining the Football/Sports Scholarship Opportunities that Astrea Sixth Form and St Neots Learning and Sports Academy have to offer.

Why this information is important We appreciate these are worrying times for everyone, especially year 11 pupils the length and breadth of the country studying hard for their GCSE exams and wondering, what's next?

What is your next step if you are interested in Sports? Do you like Football, Cricket, Golf, Hockey or Netball? Are you keen to pursue a career in the 'Professional Sports Industry' as a Player, a Coach or a PE teacher? Once you have completed your Sixth Form Education, do you want to attend University or have an opportunity to go overseas?

What can the Scholarships offer you?

St Neots Learning & Sports Academy, based at Astrea Sixth form St Neots and at St Neots Town FC, offer a perfect environment for talented post 16 boys and girls who wish to develop skills in their chosen sport whilst gaining A level and BTec qualification. The Scholarship programme provides an opportunity for learners to follow a full- time programme of academic studies at school, alongside high quality sports coaching and development.

The programme is delivered in partnership with St Neots Learning and Sports Academy and is aimed at any student with a genuine interest in combining sports and study and students that may wish to pursue sports based qualifications at university, or embark on a career within the sports sector.

Students attaining adequate APS will be eligible to study A levels over 2 years, those students falling a little short of the APS would be recommended to complete the Level 2 BTEC sport program in year 1 as a foundation to studying the Level 3 program in years 2 and 3.

There is also an opportunity to re-sit GCSE English and Maths, as well as gain sports industry recognised qualifications.
