ART FOR AFGHANISTAN
rt for Afghanistan hopes to create a fun event where three professional artists will share their expertise and advice as you choose either a morning or afternoon session (or both) to try out your drawing skills. Everyone is welcome whatever you think your experience may be. There will be numerous choices of subjects to study and draw, in and around this incredible Victorian Gothic building. Maybe the surrounding trees or flowers will provide inspiration or one of the many stainedglass windows? Not only will you be able to try your hand at art and discover that the creative process is truly absorbing and fun, you will also be able to enjoy a delicious cream tea! All proceeds from the day will go to Save The Children’s Afghanistan Crisis Appeal, and the suggested donation is £7.50 per session.
This event will be held at St. Simon’s Church, Waverley Road, Southsea PO5 2PW on Saturday 25th June The first session will start promptly at 10am–12pm and the second session from 1–3pm the cream teas will be served from 12–1pm. All materials will be provided. Tickets will be available from Saint Simon’s Church Office at the beginning of June or on the door on the day (subject to availability).
