Back to School

Are you starting a new school this term? Whether you’re moving to a different area or starting high school, new schools can feel a little scary. However, don’t panic, because you won’t be the only one feeling that way. Feeling nervous is completely normal, but here are some top tips to hopefully make the move easier.

Plan your journey to your new school in advance. You could even do practice runs with your parents or carers. Then you won’t have to worry about getting lost or being late on your rst day.

Finding your way around a new school can be tricky, especially if you’ve started high school and you have to move classrooms for different subjects. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you’re not sure where to go.

Make sure you have everything you need for your rst day, such as a bag, pencils, pens and books.

Face your new school challenge with a smile and a positive attitude. Be yourself and show your new classmates how awesome you are!

If there’s someone new in your school, make them feel welcome. Be kind and friendly and help them nd their way around and settle in.

Be Prepared

rst day of school will come around before you know it, so make sure you’re ready for it. Being prepared for your rst day can help it go smoothly and be less stressful.

If you’ve been staying up late during the holidays try to go to bed a bit earlier in the last week before school. Then it won’t be such a shock when you’re getting up early again because you’ll be well rested.

Pack your bag and get your uniform ready the night before school. Then you won’t be scrambling around, trying to nd everything, in a mad rush on your rst morning. This is a good tip for every school day, not just your rst day!

Plan a healthy and nutritious breakfast so you’re well set up for your rst day back learning.
