MOTOGP BRITISH GRAND PRIX SILVERSTONE GOES FULL THROTTLE FOR…
Dramatic, thrilling and fast, the MotoGP British Grand Prix takes place from 4–6 August. In case you’re wondering what the MotoGP British Grand Prix is, let us explain: every summer the best motorcyclists from around the world gather at Silverstone and compete in races to win a trophy and valuable world championship points. Silverstone rst hosted a motorcycle grand prix in 1977. Giacomo Agostini holds the record for the most Grand Prix victories and, having won 122 times, is known as the king of motorcycle racing. Agostini is now retired, so won’t be participating this year. Some riders to look out for are: Francesco Bagnaia from Italy; Johann Zarco from France; and Stefan Bradl from Germany. In recent years, Francesco Bagnaia has been the man to beat, gaining a whopping 194 points to claim last year’s World Championship. No doubt the other contestants will be trying to beat him, but can they do it? Can they bring back the crown? Who will you be rooting for?
You can enjoy all the action across the weekend on BT Sport and ITV. If you miss the race you can catch up on ITV4’s highlights show at 8pm on Monday or watch any time on ITVX.
