Brief 3 - Dr Me
Part 1
Part 1 - Record Sleeve Research & Development Through contextual research it was identified that the song was inspired by a Soviet signal transmitter and repetition was something the song had in common with the transmitter. Through searching for books about transmitters and communication some images of graphs were sourced and scanned to be manipulated into a design. The grainy effect of the scanned image worked with the idea of white noise and the uneasy feeling the song created. 2/6

Part 2
Part 2 - Music Event Poster Development Aiming to work more physically with a hands on approach as Dr.Me do, brown tape was scrunched and stuck to paper to create a grungy texture. This was decided in response to listening to Odonis Odonis music and feeling that it had a more edgy, rock sound. In terms of layout a circle was going to be the focus due to the repetition of the letter O in the name. 4/6

Part 3 - Your Design - Beauty Then and Now In response to the brief to create any piece of design, a collage based on beauty both in the 60s and today was produced. Background elements were taken from beauty and fashion magazines sold today, with the photograph of model Twiggy in the foreground representing beauty in the 60’s.
