BRAND HISTORY When Quiksilver was born in the year 1969 in Australia, the founders, Alan Green and John Law, designed the logo for their company. A “cresting wave and snow-capped mountain was symbolized as excellence and authenticity. It was inspired by the famous Japanese Hokusai, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, made in the 1800s.
