The project aims at understanding the different layers of a 1sq.km Precinct in east of Ahmedabad. The layers comprises of land use, built use, land rates, livelihood, job density, FSI etc.
The precinct Nikol evolves as a sprawling fringe in eastern Ahmedabad which was developed due to migrants from industrial areas. Nikol is green field developed I.e the agriculture land is developed with TP scheme in 1998.
The project deals with the factors and parameters which influenced Nikol and which can foster further development in future. It also focuses on two parameters I.e affordability and desirability. These factors indicate the demand and purchasing capacity of people.
The project concludes with a stand that how Nikol is a regulated Urban spread and how it is a better place to live in.
