The much awaited event for the opening of MSC Olympics 2011 was the Cheer Dance Competition. Contenders from different departments showed off their best choreographies. Team NEXUS won the third place in the competition the first time team NEXUS was included in the top 3. The second contender to perform, team NEXUS displayed their artistic and dynamic Las Vegas -like festival performance. With their pink fairy-like costumes they made their dance move so powerful
that made the crowd even more excited. During their performance the crowd could not help but praise them and conclude that the young department would be in the top 3. They said “may laban ang SAS”. Ending their performance is a loud cheer of N-E-X -U-S what do we need TEAMWORK – which is the meaning of the department team name, unity amidst diversity. Arianne Kaye Sager

Ang mga manlalaro ng Nexus ay binubuo nina Johanna Eunice Maling, Karin An de Villena, Madilyn Lleva, Lyndel de Luna, Jhenyvi Valles, Magie Labrador, Janelyn Jandusay at Ma, Marineth M a g a l i n g . Robert Lamonte.

Sports spirit… revived Once again, units, teams from the MSC main campus and satellite campuses have gathered for a purpose to play and finally stand out among the rest. In every corner of the College, one can obviously feel the spirit of the Sports Olympics---- athletes on respective venues competing; some busy with their serious practices, officials on their respective tasks, student-journalists covering news and passers- by roaming around. As one sees it, a phenomenon is very much far from issues like examination, lengthy quizzes, projects and researches. But from now, these stuffs are meanwhile forgotten, giving attention to College Olympics „2011 with sports, cultural and academic competitions. In games, conflict may arise from various factors. This may be worst if not properly handled. It is in this situation where a sound communication between athletes and officials is very essential. In this event some may not give way for any conflicts. Let‟s learn from it! Today is new state, a chance for a change and further improvement.
- Junnel Layag (Nexus) “It did not meet my expectation. -C.E 4(Matrix) “Mas maganda kesa dati. Kasi mas maraming events..” - Comp.Eng,4 (Matrix) “ Ok, masaya kahit paano, masaya kasi panalo sila..” -C.E 3 (Matrix) “ May time na boring, may time na masaya.
- I.T 4 (Artisan)
- Info.Tech.3 (E-nnovators)
- B.S.I.T Elec.1-D (Artisan) “ Okay lamang dahil masaya, madaming babae. - FISHERIES 3 (Bullshark)
Sabi naman namin…….. Ikaw kaya try mong makipagparticipate. Freedom of speech nga
