How to do a Grain effect After you have selected your picture, in the bottom right can corner, there are different icons. Click on the icon that looks like the icon to the left and a list of different tools will come up. Click on the one that says ‘Solid Colour.

When this box comes up change the colour to a medium shade of grey then click ‘Ok’.

The screen will the appear like this with an added layer on the side.


Look on the top row and select ‘Filter’, scroll down and click on ‘Noise’ then ‘Add Noise’ and this box should appear.

Change the Distribution from Uniform to Gaussian and keep the amount of gradient to roughly around 100% then click ‘Ok’.

Change the grain layer from Normal to Overlay and take the opacity down to roughly 50% and there is your finished picture.
