2015 Top Gifts Family Favorite
MeccaNoid G15 KS by Meccano
Meet Meccano’s ultimate, build-ityourself robot, the Meccanoid G15 KS Personal Robot. Standing almost 4 feet tall the Meccanoid G15 KS uses advanced technology and 10 motors to deliver even more realistic movement to its arms head and feet. Our favorite part? You can teach him to dance and tell jokes! The Meccanoid is a pretty hefty engineering project but well worth the time spent building in the end. This is a great family project or, for the more advanced builders, perfect for solo play. The kids got the Lego style construction right away. It’s really a completely programmable, interactive, and configurable robot for your kids! The eyes glow, it has a great voice, and it seems to become a member of the household really quickly. Be sure to watch the instruction videos and be sure to help them build it, its a family activity and will save you several hours. —$399.99
Teachers’ Pick
Roominate Townhouse
All we can say is WOW! What an awesome idea for girls. The dollhouse kit comes with a set of walls, connectors, stickers, colored paper, wires, different sized plastic pieces, and more; all to create the room of any child’s dreams. Technology comes in with the wired aspect, since kids can hook up anything ranging from fans, circular saws, fireplaces, elevators, washing machines, computers, televisions and more. It’s recommended for ages 6 and up but we found the younger kids really had a tough time with the overall concepts. We love that it promotes science, math, technology, and engineering for young girls but still maintains a girly aspect. You go girl! Ages 6 and up — $39.99

Parents’ Pick Bissell SpotClean Cordless Portable Spot Cleaner Does this baby ever do the job! We tried it out on furniture, car upholstery, carpets and even a bed spread…Amazing! It’s lightweight and easy to use, perfect for tight spaces and spot cleaning. With a household full of kids and pets we don’t know how we kept the house clean without it. A great gift for a busy mom or dad. — $149.99
Nerf N-Strike Elite CrossBolt Blaster by Nerf
Big Kids’ Pick
Load up the 12-dart clip with darts and attach it to the blaster, then pull the string back so you’re locked and loaded when a target crosses your path. A mix between a crossbow and a blaster. Although it did jam several times the distance and accuracy more than made up for the mild frustration our kids had with the loading/jamming aspect of the toy. Overall we liked the overall design and recommend it for older kids. Ages 8 and up — $24.99
Little Kids’ Pick JJ My Jumpin Pug Pet
by FurReal Friends This little guy is just adorable. It’s super interactive and responds to movement and sound and jumps and barks around without being annoying. We were a little surprised that JJ doesn’t walk around but he goes through a series of tricks when prompted that will keep your kids engaged. Also check out the FurReal Friends StarLily Magical Unicorn - wow! Ages 4 and up - $39.99

Babies
by Lamaze
Pippin’ The Push Along Pup
This toy was a HUGE hit with our babies. They love all of the fun features and the pup is brightly colored and very soft to the touch. The back of the pup is a handle that is created for kids to be able to grab easily to push the pup along on its four paws which are wheels. Ages 6 months and up — $24.99

Pre-School
Nola, The Monster of Loneliness by WorryWoo Monsters
Nola is just one of a wonderful series of storybook toys. She is so soft and huggable and her story The Lonely Little Monster is truly fantastic. We highly recommend this series. Other WorryWoo Monsters that help kids embrace their emotions include Wince (the Monster of Worry), Twitch (the Monster of Frustration), Squeek (the Monster of Innocence) and Fuddle (the Monster of Confusion). The super soft and cute Woos meet ASTM and EN71 safety standards, and their stories are printed with environmentally friendly soy inks. 3 years and up — $27.43
Star Wars Millenium Falcon by Playskool
If you grew up in the 70’s or 80’s you’ll appreciate this throwback to your own childhood. Star Wars is hot this year and our kids couldn’t get enough of the Falcon. Larger than you’d expect the toy was a little heavy for our kids under 5, but it’s sturdy and has no sharp surfaces or small parts so it’s great for all ages. We like that the top of the Falcon has a locking handle for easy carrying. Great playset comes with Han Solo, R2D2 and our favorite… Chewbacca! —

N ickelodeon by Paw Patrol
Paw Patrol Paw Patroller
Paw Patrol is a TV favorite with our younger kids. The Paw Patroller is a must have for fans. It is the ultimate rescue vehicle and can transport three Paw Patrol vehicles inside, or display six vehicles when opened up! We love the storage space for other Paw Patrol vehicles but were a little disappointed that this set only comes with Ryder and his ATV. Ages 3 years and up - $59.99

Littlest Pet Shop Jet
Ages 5-7
by Littlest Pet Shop
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Playset As a transforming playset, this big 24 inch tall Leonardo figure is one of the more mobile playsets we have seen. It can be a playset or a huge turtle friend and makes clean up pretty easy. The kids really had a lot to do in this turtle funhouse and just like the other sewer playset in this line, it also has a wide open play area. It’s nice to know we can have more than one choice for the Turtles Hangout. This playset is a lot of fun and worth the price for any TMNT fan. — $89.99
Hours of fun for teeny, tiny fingers. With 72 Deco Bits pieces and 40 accessories you’ll have your hands full when it comes time for clean up, but to our girls it was well worth the half hour it took to assemble this Littlest Pet Shop keeper. Accessories include a spinning globe; a feeder, drinks, and snacks for passengers; sunglasses and a hat for the pilot; luggage; and more. The set comes with 4 pets ready to get up and go! — $39.99
My Little Pony Rarity Booktique Playset by My Little Pony You have to love the design of this playset, it opens up like a book and it’s easy to fold up the playset with the more than 20 accessories inside and carry it by the handle. If you have a My Little Pony fan in your family you need to get this gem under the tree this year. Your play set includes the Booktique which has three different scenes that are change by turning the scenes from one ‘page’ to another. The scenes include a spa, a bedroom and Rarity’s boutique. In addition you get Rarity, the fashionista of the My Little Pony world and accessories that include perfumes, hangers, clothing and more! — $29.99
Wikki Stix Traveler
Hatch ‘n Heroes
Great for car trips this allin-one kit provides hours of fun for kids of all ages. Even our teens got creative using the waxy strips to decorate pencils and pens. The kit includes a 12 page activity book that provides a ton of ideas that are easy to create. A great gift for anyone.— $19.99

Ages 8-10 Knits Cool - Knitting Studio by Knits Cool
This kit comes with everything you need to make an infinity scarf, a headband, and a little phone purse. We love when a craft can be used for something practical, best of all the finished products are super cute! Our daughters loved the bright colors and we thought this was a fun project to do together. Much easier for the girls than traditional knitting. — $19.99
Zombie Strike Doominator Blaster by Nerf
The four barrel feature of this 24-shot Nerf blaster makes it an impressive and intimidating weapon for high energy Nerf firefights. We did find that we had a misfire or two when attempting to empty all four barrels at once, but overall it works well mechanically if you make certain to seat the darts well in the barrels. It has a very reasonable range and accuracy and is an all around fun Nerf weapon. Be sure to get an extra pack of darts since you will inevitably lose a dart or two and there are no spare darts included. You have only enough darts to fill the unit. — $39.99
Minecraft The Cave by Lego
A lot of our kids play Minecraft and this building toy was almost as good as the real thing. The set has a great value (250 pieces for $20), decent figures, good ratio of good guys and bad guys, and overall a very minecraft feel. The cave itself is scaled down, yet it is a good scale. It looks like an actual minecraft cave. The lava and water is a really good touch, as well as the chest. It overall seems to fit together really well. — $19.99
Text Cool, Bracelet Studio
We loved the ease of use and the fact that it’s not messy at all is a HUGE plus. Because of the great storage case all of the extras stay together, which makes it easy for us to take out and put away. We were glad there was enough for 35 bracelets because they are so easy to make our girls will fly through the kit in no time. — $24.99

Descendants Auradon Kids
Calling all Descendant lovers! The entire line of Descendant Auradon Kids is something you have to see to appreciate. These are no average dolls. They are made with such attention to detail and the quality is so over the top that it’s hard to imagine they are just an average toy. The accessories are just adorable and each Coronation doll comes with a Coronation Ring for the girl. It represents a special connection between the owner and Lonnie and our girls just loved them. - $24.99

Tweens and Teens SYNC by 50 On-Ear Wireless Headphones
Pump up the beats with these wireless headphones ($230). The cushioned ears provide a more comfortable way to listen to music. We only have one word to describe this product...Amazing!! The whole wireless experience is extremely convenient and we didn’t expect to hear such great sound quality. The battery life last wayyyy longer than expected and surprisingly it doesn’t take the Headphones that long to charge.
Guitar Hero Live by Activision
Rock On! This isn’t your father’s Guitar Hero. The new and improved Guitar Hero Live puts you right into the action by simulating an actual onstage experience. Unlike the first Guitar Hero you get a real first-person perspective as a real crowd reacts to your performance. The game offers a bonus mode, GHTV where you can challenge other players around the world and continuously discover new music. Really, we can’t see ever getting tired of this game--get it! —$99.99
Gamers Skylanders
SuperChargers Starter Pack by Activision
Destiny:
The strong storytelling and incredibly creative level design makes this one of if not the best game of its kind. The modest overall amount of figures and vehicles makes it feasible to collect them all, however this time you don’t need to unless you want to. You really only need one of each vehicle type (Air, Land, Sea) to unlock the majority of the game content. The racing is solid and fun, but there’s plenty of classic Skylanders brawl and platforming action. If you are a fan of Skylanders you won’t be disappointed. — $74.99
The Taken King Disney Infinity by Activision 3.0 Edition Our gamers loved the original Destiny and couldn’t wait to get their hands on TTK. We found it to be action packed with a new storyline. So much to do it seems like the game could last forever. Playing with friends online is the best but playing solo kept their interest as well. Rated Teen - $59.99

Starter Pack
Star Wars fans must get the 3.0 Edition. Together new heroes can join forces with characters from previous editions and embark on adventures as big as your imagination whether you explore open-world creation in the Toy Box or story-driven gameplay inside Play Sets! It’s easy to play and very fun to take part in. A great game , good figures and awesome to play. — $74.99 www.JerseyShoreFamily.com

May the force be with you… in the shower? Yep, that’s right, we found an ideal gift for the Star Wars lover in your life. The R2D2 Showerhead or the Darth Vader Handheld Shower are great ways to bring a little out-of-this-world fun to your morning routine. — $24.99 - 29.99

Play Ic200c Mini Projector by Duo
This is a pretty nifty little gadget. It worked right out of the box with both a MAC laptop and an Android phone. We like small, minimalist devices, and this seems to be just perfect (rather than a big bulky beamer). We were surprised at how bright it was and the speaker quality was great. — $149

Games Minions Hit Them Out by Tactic Games US If you love the Minion movies like we do this set is a no-brainer. It’s a fun game, and the pieces are well made, cute, and durable. Like any bowling type game you need about 7’ of free space to play. Ages 5 and up - $24.99
Super Tooth by Brainwright
One of our new favorite games! Quick to learn and fun for all ages! Super tooth may look like a Dino filled kid’s game, but is certainly fun for adults as well. With event cards that alter the fate of the game, Super Tooth does not lose its playability over time. Super Tooth is quick to play so it is a great game to have on the go. Ages 6 and up - $11.99
Minions Hit Them Out by Tactic Games US Dice Alias is a cross between Boggle and Catch Phrase. After rolling all 8 dice, players race to find words at least 4 letters long. When a player finds a word they shout out “alias” and then begin describing the word without saying it. We had fun searching and guessing and even some of the younger kids “helped” finding words. A good game if you’re ready for a challenge. Ages 9 and up. — $19.99
Flashlights & Fireflies by Brainwright
This is a super cute game that everyone in our family enjoys. First thing that I love about this game is it has an equal amount of boys and girls player pieces. You play this game in 4 phases per round: Hide, Catch, Shine and Sneak. The first player to make it home wins. Directions were a little vague, but once we figured out the rules we had a blast. Ages 6 and up. - $16.99

Pop Stream by SpinMaster
Remember “Scene It” - well Pop Stream is a modern day version of this popular film lovers game. The questions are good and covered a range of movies, from classics to more recent (the most recent movie question we have seen so far was from mid to late 2000s). We like that you have the option in the future to have more question packs giving the game a much longer playing life. We did have a little trouble setting it up. You need to make sure it is set-up on a hard, flat surface otherwise it will not line up properly. If you have the patience to set up on your tablet the game is worth the effort. Ages 15 and over – $29.99
Sleeping Queens by Brainwright Great for a family that has little prince and princesses in their house. Moms enjoyed the fact that there is a bit of math involved. The game itself is easy to understand and very quick moving. When the game was over the kids even chased each other around the house with knight/dragon or spell/wand king/queen cards acting out pretend play. Ages 8 and up - $14.99

Games Classic Jenga
Molkky
by Hasbro
by Tactic Games US Mölkky is a great family game! It is simple to learn how to play and by the end of the day, even our 3 year olds were catching on to how to play! The game is easy to set up and you can get right to playing. We love that any age group can participate... can’t wait to try it on the beach! — 49.99
Stack ‘em up, pull ‘em out, watch ‘em crash. It’s a classic. When the game was over our little guys had fun just stacking the wood blocks and building forts. When the kids went to bed the adults had a marathon Jenga competition - we forgot how much fun a game could be! Ages 4 and up - $12.99
Monopoly Here and Now U.S. Edition Game by Hasbro Who doesn’t love family game night? Everyone loves Monopoly but not everyone has time to play a full blown game. Monopoly Here and Now is a fast-paced version of the classic that can be played in about 30 minutes. It still has the overall Monopoly feel to it but it really is a different game. Players race to collect tokens and the first one to fill up their token holder wins. No more buying houses or hotels… just race around the board and gather up as many properties or in this game “Cities” and you’ll come out the winner. Ages 8 and up - $21.99
