Head to Charlie Daniels Park with the kids, play video games, see a movie, or check out live music.
I was a criminal justice major working on my senior year internship with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office. After my stint there was done, my old bosses Jim McDowell and Melba Reese set me up an interview with Wes Hall. My first day of work was September 28, 2004 – I’ve been here ever since.
Was this career path something that was always on your radar? I’d always wanted to be an attorney – I always enjoy a good debate. So when the path opened up, I took it.
Did you have any unrelated jobs growing up that unexpectedly prepared you for the apartment industry? Not really, but when I started at 22 years old, my work in evictions certainly taught me life lessons I didn’t have to learn from experience.
Why is property management an attractive career path? For those willing to put in the work, there is so much opportunity for upward mobility!

Give us a fun fact about you. I’m a member of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. My ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War out of Bedford County, Pennsylvania.

If you could get a “do over” for something in your career, what would it be and why? Who knows – you’ll never get anywhere with what ifs.
Any advice you could give to the rising stars of GNAA? Take pride in yourself and your work – including the little things. Good things will follow.
