Cookie Program 2022
We have all
weathered the storm these last 20+ months and life as we knew it is slowly beginning to re-emerge. With precautions, we are able to gather with friends and hug our loved ones. We are able to hear the sound of laughter and the squeals of excitement from our Girl Scouts and that always brings a smile to my face. As we begin to get out and about, we are just in time for one of my favorite times of year – COOKIE SEASON! A time where our Girl Scouts take that step into becoming CEOs of their own businesses. A time when our Girl Scouts find their voice and strengths and let the world know that they have arrived. The Cookie Program gives our girls so many possibilities to create phenomenal opportunities. It helps a shy Girl Scout find her voice, it helps an introverted Girl Scout step out of the shadows, it gives our Girl Scouts the confidence to crush her goals. It is amazing all the opportunities that come out of a box of cookies. I have had the extreme pleasure of watching so many girls grow through this program and every year I watch in awe as our Girl Scouts conquer Walk About, booths, business presentations and elevator pitches. It is amazing to me to see the levels of confidence our girls have when participating in this program. From our youngest Daisies to our innovative Ambassadors, our Girl Scouts keep reaching for the stars. While this program isn’t the only thing that represents Girl Scouting it is behind everything we do – it allows us to fund programs
Every Cookie Season
is an adventure, but this year’s season will be even sweeter with a brand new cookie on the scene! We are so excited to bring back an in-person Cookie Rally, where girls can taste the new Adventurefuls™ Cookie and practice their skills to become a Totally Koala-fied Cookie Seller. Of course, attendees will receive some awesome SWAG and Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to win some fun prizes after the Council Fall Top Seller Award Ceremony. Also returning with this year’s Cookie Program are Walkabouts and Booths! Moreover, we have exciting events and trips available for girls to earn in the reward line-up. Many of the online tools we introduced last year proved to be very successful for our girls and convenient for our customers, so we are including them in this year’s program with some enhancements. Girls will have the opportunity to market online early to customers for the chance to pre-order and pre-pay using Girl Delivery AND these orders will count towards the Walkabout early reward! Troops will also have the chance to take orders in advance to make
and activities, earn badges and most importantly give back to our communities. I know we all know the amazing things that Girl Scouting has to offer and this program is just one of those highlights – this year we look forward to seeing our Girl Scouts out and about, we look forward to being out there with you, supporting you, believing in you and cheering you on – let’s show the world that nothing holds us back, because after all…we’re Girl Scouts, we’ve got this GSSGC! Sending each and every one of our Girl Scouts good thoughts for a safe, fun, happy, and successful cookie season.
Yours in Girl Scouting,

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council will not tolerate racism in any form. We are committed to providing an anti-racist environment built through meaningful and lasting work in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Update
Girl Scouts Stands Against Racism and Pledges to Work for a Just Society for All
Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council continues its work to ensure that all girls and their families are welcome and respected in Girl Scouting. For the past year, the Board DEI Committee, which includes members of the Board of Directors and Council staff, has met monthly with equity consultant Nicole Anderson, of Nicole Anderson and Associates, LLC. The Committee is working diligently and intentionally to make lasting change by identifying the root causes of equity gaps within our organization. Nicole Anderson is supporting this work with the DEI Committee by facilitating the development of a 10-year equity impact action plan that will address and provide solutions to the existing equity gaps. The plan will focus on three areas: Girls, Volunteers, and Staff. Subcommittees around each focus area have been formed and are composed of DEI Committee members, Diversity & Inclusion Action Team members, current and former board members, Region Chairs, Girl Scout volunteers, and staff members. Girl Listening Sessions were held during the summer in order to gain the perspectives of our Girl Scouts on their experience around the topic of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The sessions provided invaluable feedback as well as suggestions on how we can better help our Girl Scouts feel included when they participate in Council activities. Feedback received from the Girl Listening Sessions is also helping in the development of the equity impact action plan. Over the summer, Council staff members attended DEI training sessions facilitated by Nicole Anderson and her team. DEI training sessions for volunteers, facilitated by Nicole Anderson and Associates, LLC, are also in progress and dates for three sessions to be held in 2022 after cookie season will be shared soon. Be on the lookout for the dates to be added to the Council’s Event Calendar and shared in the monthly newsletter.

Multicultural Community Celebrations Fun Patch
We want to hear from our girls on what diversity, equity, and inclusion in Girl Scouts means to them. An online survey is currently in development and will be shared soon!
The Girl Scout Multicultural Celebration Fun Patch was designed to celebrate the countless contributions that diverse communities have made and continue to make in the United States. Girl Scouts of all levels and their leaders have plenty of activities to choose from to earn each segment of this fun patch, whether they choose to do one or all of them. Girls from all ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to participate; they are sure to learn interesting new things. Patches are available to members and non-members who would like to learn about, support, and celebrate the customs, values, and traditions of various cultures within the United States. So far this year, we have celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month and Native American Heritage Month. In 2022, Black History Month, Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, and LGBTQIA Pride Month will be featured. Watch for more ways to earn the Multicultural Community Celebrations Fun Patches during the following months: February 2022: Black History Month May 2022: Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month June 2022: LGBTQ+ Pride Month
Diversity Fun Patch Contest The winner of our 2021 Diversity Fun Patch Contest was Shannon H. Be on the lookout for new ways to earn this patch in the coming Girl Scout Year!

With excitement we step into the 2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program! Cookie season is one of the highlights of the Girl Scout year. It is through the hard work and determination displayed by our Girl Scouts that they achieve their goals and inspire others. Not only do girls earn exciting rewards and opportunities to embark on lifechanging adventures, they gain entrepreneurial skills as they run their own businesses. Unique challenges especially marked last cookie season and many of the barriers that were overcome have prepared our Girl Scouts for this new year. Girls adapted and became more business and tech-savvy, allowing them to reach a greater audience than ever before. Those same skills are sure to aid in finding success again this year. We are not the only ones eagerly awaiting this cookie season. For those in our community, seeing Girl Scouts outside of grocery and retail stores, visiting their neighbors’ homes on walkabouts, and hosting cookie stands on their lawns is a symbol of health and wellbeing. The joy and excellence of Girl Scouts is shared with our communities through the dedication and efforts of our girls and volunteers, and we look forward to reconnecting. I encourage every girl to join the Cookie Program and sell this year. This coming Girl Scout Cookie Season, never stop reaching for your goals; know that so much is possible through your perseverance and the support of those around you. Because you are Girl Scouts, we know that you are more than “Koala-fied” for the year ahead. Trust this Lifetime Girl Scout when I assure you that the rewards of participation will be immense. I am certainly looking forward to seeing you at the inperson Cookie Rally on January 15, 2022, at the L.A. Zoo. What a great kick-off to this cookie season. I encourage you to join your sister Girl Scouts and me and celebrate together once again.

Ways to Participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program Get ready for your Girl Scout to make (cookie) boss moves this year! No matter how she takes part in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, she’ll grow her people skills, learn to set goals, make smart decisions, and so much more. Talk with her about which options she’s excited to explore this year!
Phone or Text Friends and Family Is this your Girl Scout’s irst time running her own cookie business? Texting or phoning friends and family is a great way to help her feel comfortable connecting with cookie customers. And if your seasoned cookie boss’s free time is limited—hello, school, sports, and extracurriculars!—this option has maximum lexibility.
Online Sales Is your Girl Scout ready to take her digital marketing skills to the next level? With the ABC Smart Cookies platform, Girl Scouts can ship cookies straight to customers, accept orders for cookie donations, or have local customers schedule an inperson delivery. And she can reach her sales goals no matter what her schedule is like. Check out Girl Scouts' Digital Marketing Tips for Cookie Entrepreneurs and Families.
Door-to-door They’re the perfect way to hone her sales pitch! With door-todoor sales, Girl Scouts can stay local and sell in their neighborhoods—and use door hangers and business cards for customers who aren’t home. They’ll also grow their people skills by meeting new neighbors (with the necessary adult supervision, of course).
Cookie Stands Would your Girl Scout feel more comfortable on her own turf? Cookie stands, similar to lemonade stands, are set up in front of a residence on private property, where she’ll market her cookies to customers in her neighborhood. They’re a great way to ease more introverted girls into connecting with their communities. This can be fun for the whole family!
Cookie Booths This option has maximum customer interaction, teamwork, and all the fun! Troops or groups of Girl Scouts work together to market their cookies outside a pre-approved location (like a grocery store, bank, mall, or even a drive-through booth in a parking lot) where they can practice their business skills with new customers.
Connecting with Her Community The possibilities are endless! Girl Scouts team up with their parents/caregivers to sell cookies to their employees and coworkers, at places of worship, and at community groups. They could prepare a corporate pitch to sell cookies in bulk to car dealerships, real estate agents, or inancial institutions. When these budding entrepreneurs secure a large sale, they get a taste of sweet success!
Note: Cookie booths must be coordinated by troop cookie managers; may only happen at Council-approved locations; and must be legally open to, accessible, and safe for all girls and potential customers.
Participating in the cookie program powers Girl Scouts’ adventures throughout the year as they learn key business skills to excel in future careers and in life. By participating in different sales methods, girls gain more skills, including: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Don’t forget: Adult supervision is required at all times.

Cookie Contests Bling Your Booth We LOVE a booth that says WOW. This patch is available in our shops for decorating your booths, but did you know we also have a contest each week? During the cookie sale we will pick one winner per week for a prize of 200 I Cares purchased from your troop. Each week we will have a new theme and contests to enter by dropping a photo of you at your booth into the Weekly Post's comment stream. Visit gssgc.org/cookies.
Wacky Weather Sometimes Mother Nature decides she has things to do and those things do not jive with cookie sales. When our girls get out there and run their business despite Mother Nature’s plans we will activate “Wacky Weather” and randomly gift 10 troops $100 I Cares each time we activate!
Walkabout Contest Girl Scout Pride
Booth sale rules say you must be in at least a Girl Scout t-shirt and vest/sash/smock to be running a legal cookie booth, but a full uniform represents you, and ensures the public sees proud young women. Girl Scouts at each level wear one required element (tunic, sash, or vest) to display official pins and awards. Girls can mix and match pieces from the official Girl Scout collection to complete the full uniform. When you wear your uniform with pride, the world notices. So we made a patch for our staff and teams to have with them at all times to honor you with when they find you wearing your full uniform at your cookie booth. Plus 5 winners, one per region, will win $1,000 in I Cares on the last day of the cookie program!
Adult Girl Scout Pride We have never asked adults to wear full uniform at cookie booths but we know we all lead by example and seeing you in your uniform allows our girls to feel inspired to do the same! This year we have patches for YOU!!! If we find you in uniform, you will receive a special patch AND be entered to win some fantastic prizes – like dinner and a movie or some other things based on what the world is allowing at the time.
Post your photos of yourself out there hitting your personal goals – if you win – you will receive a store gift certificate for $100 and 50 I Cares purchased from you and 50 from your troop!
Scooter Barb Have you been found by Scooter Barb? She is a longtime Girl Scout Alumni AND a Camp Azalea Trails camper from when she was a girl. Scooter Barb rides around on her Vespa looking for cookie booths. If she finds you and you’re in your sash, vest or smock or even better, full uniform AND know your personal/troop goals AND can recite the Girl Scout Promise, she will bestow upon you this adorable patch. Keep your eyes peeled for Barb!
Kindness Counts As adults, we lead by example, ensuring our young women see the behavior we wish to emulate and that kindness and empathy really matter. When you see other adults acting in this way, nominate them for a Kindness Counts Patch! Nominate someone TODAY! From 12/1/21 – 3/31/22 https://bit.ly/cookieisascookiedoes2021

This means most of our activities will require masks when indoors or in close proximity to each other. Some events and activities will require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the event. These guidelines continue to change regularly. Participants will be notified on the GSSGC Event Calendar of current requirements. If requirements change, participants will be notified via email and offered a chance to cancel with refund.

Troubleshooting & FAQs gsLearn is GSUSA’s Learning Management System. This system offers volunteer role training as well as several helpful courses to help you succeed in Girl Scouts. gsLearn is available to all registered adult volunteers.
gsLearn
How will gsLearn benefit me?
▶ gsLearn brings training opportunities straight to you through the convenience of your own computer at times when learning is most convenient for you! ▶ Courses may easily be paused, exited and restarted as needed by the learners without losing their progress. ▶ Learners can stay up-to-date with helpful, movement-wide online learning opportunities created by GSUSA.
How do I access gsLearn? Members access gsLearn by selecting “myGS” on our website. Log in using the username and password you created when you set up your Girl Scout member account. Select gsLearn on the left-hand menu. NOTE: It may take 24-48 hours for access to gsLearn and the Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) to be available. My email address has changed. Should I update it in gsLearn? No, please contact Customer Care at 1-800-400-GIRL or customercare@gssgc.org to adjust your email and/or username to prevent any access issues. The training I am taking in gsLearn is not working. What should I do? You may need to complete some of the troubleshooting steps below. If these don’t resolve the issue, contact customercare@gssgc.org 1 Ensure stable Wi-Fi or internet is available. Phone and tablet devices often require consistently strong connections. 2 Try signing out of gsLearn and re-entering the program through myGS in a new window. 3 Close the browser and clear the browser cache, history and/or ensure cookies are enabled. 4 Try using a different internet browser. Google Chrome works most consistently. 5 If you’ve been using Chrome to no avail, try a different browser such as Microsoft Edge or Firefox. 6 If using a phone or tablet, try using a desktop or laptop instead. 7 Ensure your device can support media files, mostly MP4, to play. 8 Ensure cookies are enabled. Many people have a default of “Block Third Party Cookies,” but that setting will block VTK and gsLearn. 9 Certain security extensions like Privacy Badger will block a URL that is needed to use VTK and gsLearn. If you have a security extension, please allow cdns.gigya.com as a safe URL. 10 If this is your first time logging into gsLearn, it will take up to 30 minutes to populate your Content Library with San Gorgonio’s training options.
Training courses specific to San Gorgonio all start with our three digit Council code: 614. Some courses are provided by GSUSA and are typically indicated with GSUSA in the title.

Adult Recognitions Awards 2021 Regional Leader of the Year Tara Herrera – Central West
Tara is an incredible leader. She has taught girls from Daisies to Ambassadors to pick and plan troop badges, Journeys, and all the events they want to attend. Her troop is truly girl-led. She is creative in her Journeys and badge work and her girls have earned all their Daisy Petals, Money Counts, Simple Meals, Junior Aide, Financial Literacy, and so many more. For the Financial Literacy badge she found Dave Ramsey’s online workshop for the older girls to complete at their own pace. For the Cooking badge, Tara hosted a bake-off, like on TV. She delivered DIY confection kits to her girls and they posted their baked goods that other leaders then voted on. It was very fun and involved lots of giggling. Tara incorporates community services in all they do from collecting I Care, Santa for a Senior, and Thanksgiving dinners to-go donations to helping with the I Care Packing Party and Operation Christmas Child.
Shari Hunton – Central
Shari welcomed us into the troop and gave me an opportunity to be a co-leader. I sat back and watched for the first several months as she led meetings each week with the love and passion for the Girl Scout Law and Promise shining through on each meeting. She encouraged and helped me learn the Girl Scout way so that I could be part of the magic unfolding each week and at each event. Shari’s patience is unlike any person I have ever worked with in my professional and personal life. She doesn’t believe in just blowing through a Journey or badge work and moving onto something else just to fill the girls’ vests with badges. She believes in the girls mastering skills and absorbing the experience through hands-on interactions, open communication, and magically teachable moments. She has encouraged our girls to come up with amazing ideas for giving back to the community such as a food

Amber Szydlo – Southwest
If you have ever been to one of Amber’s troop’s events you can see the amount of time, dedication and passion involved. Girls learn how to lead and create events with direction, guidance and support from Amber. One Girl Scout said, “I feel that the lessons I am learning are going to help me throughout my life. If it weren’t for leaders like Amber, I am not sure I would still be a Girl Scout. She makes it fun and educational. I look forward to our meetings and continuing to learn how to turn everything I do into a Girl Scout lesson. When COVID-19 hit, Amber sent us badges to do online so we could still learn and have fun doing them. I never had a Girl Scout leader who took that much time and effort to do something like this. We got a new badge every week. She offered choices that she thought we would like based on how well she knew each girls’ personality. We had our eyes opened to a bigger world of possibilities. It made it a little less scary to be stuck at home with so many other fun things to look at and explore.”
Robyn Fuller – Low Desert
Robyn has led the troop in many extraordinary Girl Scout activities, finding new and inventive ways to create fun and memorable experiences, but more importantly, helping to guide the Cadettes and volunteers in developing leadership skills and growth within the community (including volunteer work, Cookie Sales, Fall Product, etc.). “One thing that Robyn Fuller did that impressed me was one time when we were volunteering to help set up the Rose Parade, one of the other girls in our troop and I were

When we got stuck at the San Francisco Airport trying to get home after our bridging ceremony, Robyn, and our other troop leader Bridget Foster, did everything they could to get us back home in time to be rested for school the next day.”
Anne Rice – High Desert
Anne Rice is the Leader we all aspire to be. She has taught me more about how to lead my troop than I ever thought I needed! From teaching me the tech, how to fill out my TFR and ALL my product sales info, to how to help my girls through the rough patches; Anne has the wisdom to know how to lead. When I need a friend to help me through the good and bad, I know who to call; Anne helps me see the humor in being a leader. She sees the best in all our girls. Anne faces every challenge with compassion and inclusion, I am endlessly impressed with the lengths that she goes to so that everyone is included in her activities, regardless of challenges that they face. She has a heart that has no boundaries and when I think of who my fellow sisters are in High Desert, my mind immediately goes to Anne. She is always reaching out to every leader checking in on how product sales are going, seeing if anyone needs help. She ensures that girls are put first in Girl Scouting and they have their voices heard fully.

Alissa Ritchie – Southwest
Alissa provides her girls with a well-rounded Girl Scout experience and leads by example, exemplifying the Girl Scout Promise and Law. She offers her girls exceptional leadership opportunities through implementation of the girl-led model. She led her girls to extend that sisterhood beyond the troop level and coordinated a sister troop campout where the girls led the activities they wanted to complete for the Breathe Journey. Over the years, Alissa introduced her girls to the process of planning, executing, and completing money earning activities (MEA). The girls undertook MEAs to save for Extended Troop Travel. The proceeds helped them travel to San Francisco when they bridged from Juniors to Cadettes, to Hoover Dam when they bridged from Cadettes to Seniors, and most recently to Hawaii. These fun travelling experiences provided the girls with opportunities for education and adventure. Alissa also gives her girls the opportunity to participate in community service events. Her troop regularly volunteers at the Southwest Mega Drop and cookie rewards distributions and cupboards. They have volunteered in the community at events like a Day Out with Thomas and have consistently donated hundreds of I Care boxes to the military and local organizations. The girls in Alissa’s troop are growing to become leaders in the community under her guidance. Not only is she a leader to her own girls, but to girls throughout the region in her role as the Southwest Entrepreneurial Chair. Alissa is a full time mom with a full time job, a troop leader, and the Southwest Entrepreneurial Chair. She has a lot on her plate! But Alissa does all of this with a smile, always willing to do the hard work needed to provide a good experience for her daughter, her troop, and all of GSSGC.

Girl Scout of the Year Amelia Owen–Troop 249– High Desert Amelia Owen has impacted and empowered Girl Scouts from a multitude of regions. At the Starry Safari event at the Living Desert that Amelia led through her troop. Amelia demonstrated the characteristics of a true G.I.R.L. in more ways over the span of 48 hours, than I have seen in quite a long time. During the event, Amelia was the primary leader. She immediately took the lead and used any resource she was given to the best of her ability. Amelia created different ways to teach fire safety and kept both the kids and adults interested in what she had to say. Amelia made the event as fun and memorable as possible through trying a new activities and teaching new songs. She stayed calm and collected and stood up and faced challenges head-on. In 2018 Amelia went on a YMCA backpacking trip through Yosemite National Park with a group of other teenagers. Even though it wasn’t with Girl Scouts, Amelia still used everything she learned in Girl Scouts to be a great friend and leader to everyone. She always knew what to do when faced with a decision or a challenge, and there was never a time where she let it get to her. Amelia is one of the kindest, most selfless people–she truly loves helping others and making them feel included. If she’s at or hosting an event and she sees someone eating their lunch alone, she will be the first person to go over and invite them to eat with her and hang out. Amelia is always impressive with her leadership, kindness, helpfulness, and overall awesomeness. Amelia was a part of the LEAP Program up at camp, which means that she and the other Leaps arrived Friday, a day when regular campers go home. Leaps spend the two days before regular campers arrive learning basic leadership skills. Monday when regular campers arrived, the Leaps were given the opportunity to lead a game with the girls. Amelia led a game with a group of campers, the youngest ones, and was so impressive with how natural she was at explaining the game so that the girls could understand and how patient she was with all of their questions. The campers thought she was so much fun and grew to love her even more as the week went on!

Analyse Houston – Troop 1751 – Central Demonstrating her ability and giving heart over and above the normal Girl Scout, Analyse helps in the shop, restocking, helping girls shop with their cookie dough, taking inventory, and taking and filling orders. She has helped girls at camp have a better experience. She empowers younger girls throughout the entire Council. She is a mentor for fellow Girl Scouts in the Akoma Unity Troop and volunteers at most Council-run events, often forgoing her own participation when she sees the need for a helping hand. She has such a giving spirit that shows a maturity well beyond her years. Margaret Desforges – Troop 1642 – Central West Maggie has been busy in her 13-year Girl Scout career. She is kind, compassionate and cares deeply for her Girl Scout sisters. She has been a mentor to a multi-level troop of Girl Scouts. She helped with troop meetings, badge work and rewards. During cookies, she helped with training and booths, picking up and managing the cookies, all while reaching her own cookie goals. Volunteering with her troop at the Trunk or Treat event, she teaches by example. She is a natural leader and embodies the Girl Scout Promise and Law. Hayden Rice – Troop 1361 – High Desert Hayden provides service to her troop, her Region and the Council. She is always there for her troop, assisting other girls of different abilities to make sure they are always included. It might be pushing a wheelchair that has no battery left or sitting with a girl and explaining the activity until she understands. She took the time to assemble awards for weeks to ensure that the adults felt truly special at their recognitions. Her positive attitude is there no matter what is happening and she thinks of others in everything she does. Even when her cookie goals are met, she continues to work booths with girls still reaching for their goals and has even stepped in to sell for a girl who became ill at the end of the sale. Elizabeth Howard – Troop 917 – Southwest Elizabeth is an amazing young lady that has grown so much throughout her Girl Scout career. She is kind to everyone and has made many friends outside of her area by attending many Council events and camps. She loves to help girls and challenges younger girls to be their best selves. She gives a helping hand whenever she sees someone who is struggling. She has a willingness to serve and she has a compassionate heart. Elizabeth understands what it’s like to have struggles and she is a positive role model for all Girl Scouts in every area. She’s friendly and helpful, considerate and caring and she shows respect towards me, herself and others. She always has a smile and positive attitude whenever you see her.

The Skyland Ranch camp experience plays a vital role in the social and emotional well-being of our girls. As we all began to emerge from more than 16 months of virtual isolation, your Council undertook extraordinary measures that enabled us to open Skyland Ranch safely this summer to seven sessions of resident camp. The positive impact on our campers was amazing. After a successful summer, our magnificent Skyland Ranch is now available for weekend camps and some special events. We hope to see you there! We owe it to our San Gorgonio Family to offer camp and outdoor experiences to as many of our girls as possible. You will see from the report on the facing page that, in spite of the pandemic, many improvements were made or are in the works. The next step forward will be to improve the restroom at Wishaven, upgrading its functionality with six individual toilet rooms and six individual shower rooms. The project will cost about $322,000 and GSSGC has already set aside $200,000 for the renovation. Troops have a special opportunity to make a difference, if they choose to donate troop funds to the Wishaven project. We have been offered a $25,000 matching grant so that every dollar given will be doubled by a generous donor. We hope you will be inspired by the work that’s being done and the priceless value of outdoor experiences, and support Skyland Ranch and Wishaven with a donation. Please go to www.gssgc.org/donate and make a gift supporting Skyland Ranch today! The rewards for you and our girls are immense. Thank you. To discuss a major gift and naming opportunities, email our Chief of Staff, Chuck MacKinnon at cmackinnon@gssgc.org or give him a call at 310-567-9318.

It will take a few years for everything to grow in, but it is looking better already.
APPLE ORCHARD–The new 64 tree orchard is producing apples! It is so exciting that these trees have taken well to the environment of Skyland and are already producing.
SILVER BARN– US BANK ENVIRONMENTAL LEARNING LAB–Buildout to begin

The Daisy Society What a year! Despite restrictions and challenges, GSSGC volunteers and staff worked together in creative ways for the good of the girls in our communities. Girl Scouts and Girl Scout alumni are resilient and meet challenges without hesitation every time. Zoom became our link to one another. It became our best friend and, sometimes, our worst enemy. Now that the world is cautiously opening back up, much remains to be done for our girls. COVID meant financial need for more of our Girl Scout families, it created more expenses for our Council with the new protocols for sanitizing and protection. Most of all, our revenue streams from cookie sales, program fees and philanthropy were severely negatively impacted. I am asking for your help. You can make a difference by joining San Gorgonio’s Daisy Society. This is our annual giving society that provides financial resources for the most urgent needs for our girls. If you are already a member, thank you for your commitment. If you are not a member, will you consider joining today? Your gift of $20 a month or more automatically makes you a member and you will be making an immediate, positive difference in the life of a girl.
Thank you for all you do for the girls in our communities. Knea Hawley ☙ Vice President of Development ☙ (909) 751-7359 ☙ khawley@gssgc.org
