Another year is over..... and so much has happened in 2007. Firstly we went out to CHA in Los Angeles to pick out all the scrummy goodies we wanted for the first half of 2007. We had a fantastic time and spent far too much plus managed a few rides and a not so quick trip round Disney. Then of course there were the Scrapbook Shops (heaven).

Then the shop next door became vacant and suddenly we were able to expand making room for our new classroom and paper room which had been a dream of ours since we opened.

The new classes started in October and although there have been only a small selection available leading up to Christmas, there will be many more classes going into 2008. Infact 5 of the January Classes have already sold out which is fantastic. The Crops increased in size as well with over 80 crafters attending the December Crop. And what a great time we all have.

We have made so many friends over the last 3 years so to all of our old, new and future customers, friends and business partners we would like to wish you a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR. And watch this space. We think 2008 is going to be our best year yet.

We spent an hour opening all of our cards and presents which we received from all of you. Thanks you so much. We will be sharing some of the cards you sent on Thursday. We hope you have all had a fantastic christmas and got everything you wanted.

Finished at last!!!!!!!!!! Today I completely finished my christmas shopping (YIPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it's all wrapped and ready for Christmas Day. Does anyone else get to that wrapping stage and then, as you wrap up each present, wonder if you've done the right this - is it the right size/colour/style???? Should I have got everyone voucher? Probably but it's too late now and I can't wait to see everyones faces on the day. I've spent a long time this evening getting the class calendar for January 2008 finished so watch your post boxes as they will be arriving shortly. Classes for January go live Friday 21st December at 8pm so don't miss out. You can take a sneak peek if you look in the classes section on the website but you won't be able to book yet. I am scanning all of the DT goodies tomorrow so watch out for some fantastic inspiration. Congratulations to Morag who once again has had a layout published in Scrapbook Inspirations (page 78) now available in store. We are really proud of you. Last but not least a plug for the young people who regularly bring in goodies to go on our website. Try and take a look at their great work, after all they are the crafters of the future. Here's just a sample by Kayleigh & Nicola entitled "Goodbye". Well done girls.

Frosty Morning It takes a lot to get me out of bed and dressed before 7am but the other morning I got up and looked out of my bedroom window, only to see a wonderful world of ice and frost outside. So slippers on and wrapped in my dressing gown I went downstairs in search of my trusty friend, the panasonic!! Here are a few of the photos I took. I am by no means a professional but I was really pleased with the results. What do you think?

And then as the sun came up over the houses the frost began to melt

Have you been watching Tim Holtz Blog this week? For those of you who have bought Alcohol Inks, Distress Ink Pads and the new Crackle Paint, this is a great opportunity to learn how to use everything step by step. There are photos showing techniques and the beautiful results speak for themselves. You can take a look by clicking on the link on the right hand side of this page. I have spent a good part of the day finishing the christmas shopping including buying a frozen turkey from Savacentre. In case you haven't got one yet, they are half price and I got a 10 KG one for ÂŁ16. Bargain!!! I haven't worked out how long it will take to defrost so if anyone is an expert please let me know. This afternoon I have made 26 cards as we intend (if we can) to give all hand made cards this year. (Next year I am going to start making them in August so someone please please remind me when the time comes). We have already received some great cards so thank you to everyone who has taken the time to make one. I was going to put a picture on the blog of all the cards I've made but that will spoil the surprise. You might also like:

It's getting harder and harder to post every evening as we take more and more time planning all the new and exciting things we are going to do in 2008. So what I have decided to do is post a bit at a time during the day, as and when I get images and inspirations, so here goes. This is especially for Nicola who came into the shop this morning and who wanted to make a New Home card. Hope this helps.

I've had time this evening to scan the last class layouts using the fantastic black and white Tinkering Ink papers. This is one of the only photos of me and Terry that I like. Terry is the 3rd partner in Scrapbook Sisters. He sits behind the scenes and controls the money and keeps us two sisters in check when we loose the plot.

Just a quick tip. If you like the papers and want to make your own layout, choose a bright cardstock as a contrast. We found that the paler more insignificant colours didn't have such a good impact.

I've got a day off from the shop tomorrow so I'm going to finish off the christmas shopping and then doing all of those non creative things like cleaning, changing beds - you know the rest. If I finish in time I may even get some scrapping in before bed. Watch the blog. I'll post my efforts. You might also like: In Miniature Class Oct 08

A few more pages yes I've been a bit slack with the Blog over the last few days but I intend to start posting again really soon. To make up for it I thought I'd show a few more of the calendar pages which we made for the crop class. Here a few of Karens pages. and a few of Julies.

You will notice that karen chose to use punch art and I used a few of my many stamps to decorate the calendars. For those of you who took the class, I have burnt Discs with all of the calendar photos on and will be sending them out to you over the next few days. Sorry for the delay but they will be with you soon. More inspiration tomorrow. Have a good night. You might also like: Welcome to the world little girl Buttons at last Oooooooooooops

What a fantastic day.................... I hope everyone had a good time at the Crop on Saturday . It is always very hard work and you'd be surprised at what goes on behind the scenes to put it all together, but it is so worth while when it all comes together on the day.

As usual both me and Karen didn't finish our class projects until late on Friday night leaving very little time to pack up the shop in readiness for the van pick up in the morning. I don't know what we would have done without Jeannie that evening. On arriving at Rainham Girls School on Saturday morning we were so pleased to see Sue and Jeannie waiting for us to help unload the shop along with the early birds who also mucked in and helped out. Thank you for all your help. We couldn't do it without you. All of the staff wore christmas hats bought secretly by Karen. I think Kerrys was the best.

The Calender class went well I think, with everyone rolling up their sleeves for the massive task we set them. There were some fabulous results and we are looking forward to seeing all of the finished projects. The Young peoples class went down a treat with ooooodles of glitter for their christmas decorations. I think I ended up wearing the most but ot was all worth it just to see their fantastic christmas decorations. The raffle was in aid of the National Deaf Childrens Society which is our chosen charity this year. We raised ÂŁ96 which is a really good start to our target of ÂŁ500 for 2008. The raffle prize was a mega scrapbooking kit including 2 albums, embellishments, ribbons, papers and loads more and was won by Rosemary. The second prize was won by Jayne. The same kit (but in a different colour scheme)is also our in store raffle prize for christmas and tickets can be bought at the shop from Monday. Again all proceeds will go to the national Deaf Childrens Society. We are working on a fund raising link for those of you who would like to make a donation. I am awaiting contact from the society and

will let you know soon. The shop was packed up in record time and we were back at the shop by 5.15pm. A mamouth task but helped along by everyone who stayed behind to help. Many thanks to all of you. Here is a sneak preview of the calendars which will be in the gallery soon.

Letters From Julia Monday was the last class who used the fantastic "Letters From Julia" papers from Dream Street Papers. I must admit that when we first saw them we both looked at each other and said "too much green" however as soon as we started to use them they created endless possibilities and acted as a blank canvas for almost any photo. Here are the layouts used as examples to start everyone off and you can see the class results over the coming weeks on the customer gallery.

How many days is it? Christmas is coming around far too quickly. My apologies that I haven't been updating the Blog but the shop and internet have been so busy that I just haven't had time. You can see by this posting how late I'm up again but needs must and the December Class Calendar is out tomorrow so I've spent most of the evening working out how to fit everything in. Karen is working a night at the hospital. They are so very busy and last night there were only 3 of them looking after a busy ward. I still can't work out how she manages to do a whole night of work and then be bright and bushy tailed the next day. I have always believed that it takes very special people to work as nurses and teachers, neither of which I could do. Tomorrow I will be demonstrating the Castaway pad in the shop so if you're passing, pop in and take a peek. This will be the last demo0 day until 2008 as we have other plans for the coming Saturdays. Finally, gift vouchers are now available in the shop and we are also starting the wish list scheme for all those "I don't know what to get you" husbands and family members. Details can be found in store or please give us a ring. I'm sure you are all sound asleep in your beds but for all you night owls out there "have a good one". Everyone sees something different It never ceases to amaze me that you can give 5 different people exactly the same kit and they all come up with something different. It's the same with Scrapbook Paper. It comes into the shop and goes out on the racks. A really cute, must use paper that I'm itching to use but not quite sure how.

Here is the paper:

Then today Kim comes into the shop, sees the same paper, buys it and off she goes. It must have spoken to her because an hour later she was back for more papers and with this lovely card.

It just goes to show that Scrapbook Papers can make lovely cards. In fact thats given me an idea for a page. Thanks for the idea Kim. More ideas tomorrow. You might also like: Sundays Inspiration. More Limited Edition…… New Release

It's been another busy week and those boxes keep on coming in. There is loads and loads of new stock waiting to be unpacked and loaded onto the website. The Paper Room was finished at last on Friday and now just needs the finishing touches. All of the beautiful Scrapbook Albums are ready to go on their shelves and the Crop-O-Diles are behind the counter waiting for their new owners to collect them (so if you pre-ordered one it's ready for you to collect). Karen moved into her new home on Saturday with the help of family and friends, and is now coming to terms with the 30 or so boxes still to be unpacked. I did get a phone call from Karen this morning to confirm that her e-mail and computer are now working and that the craft desk and work area are ready to use. (I couldn't do without all my crafting goodies surrounding me either). As for me, my usual uploads of photos and project has come to a halt because of my Epson printer. It has decided in it's wisdom, that it needs a service, even though it prints perfect photos and documents. Thus has resulted in it shutting itself down. It won't even read my camera card. Mend it I hear you say but have you ever tried finding the right person to talk to at Epson. They don't appear to respond to e-mails and there are no service numbers in the instruction leaflet so what's a girl to do? PC World today suggested it was probably cheaper to buy a new one BUT I LIKE THE ONE I'VE GOT. Hopefully I will have better luck tomorrow as I have been given a phone number. I hate machines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So hopefully things will get back to normal this week. There are loads of classes coming up in November so watch out for them. The Gallery and the BLOG will be back to daily updates from Wednesday and the Christmas books are going to need re photographing so they will be on the site from the end of next week. So before I sign off, Good Luck Karen in your new home (please don't move again too soon). More tomorrow. You might also like: More scrummy examples from Gayle

It's funny what inspiration does. Sometimes it's really difficult to come up with a new project for the classes every fortnight but we usually manage to get there in the end.The tag class was a good example. The DT kits have started to come back with the usual high standard and exciting layouts and goodies. What immediately caught our eye was a tag created by Morag Cutts which she had made into a fridge magnet. What a fantastic idea we thought and it wasn't long before we came up with a few examples of our own to give the classes a choice. Here is the original by Morag Cutts.

And here are the two we made from Morags idea.

Something different for Christmas Sometimes it's nice to step out of the box and try some different colours for Christmas and I fancied a change from the traditional dark reds and greens. To make this card I took turquoise and red papers, stuck peel-off borders along each one in lines and then used a small circle punch to cut out the baubles. By doing it this way you don't have to fiddle about trying to stick the peel-offs onto the tiny circles. Some of the baubles are stuck onto the card using 3d sticky pads to add depth. The bauble strings are drawn on with a gold gel pen.

We are really busy this week with lots of classes taking place plus new stock arriving. I will do my best to keep uploading ideas but please bear with me. A cute pixie and a simple christmas tree are the inspiration for today. Firstly this delightful pixi stamp can be used in so many ways. Last time we showed a very simple but effective card using this stamp. Today Gayle has used acetate to make a more complex card.

Buttons are a favorite at the moment and most of us have loads in our stash. Here is a simple way to make a very effective christmas card.

On a personal note, thank you to everyone who has sent their best wishes to karen. She is on the mend and we hope to have her back in the shop soon. (Especially me as I need my beauty sleep). A great success We opened the classroom and paper room for the first time today. This morning we arrived bright and early to put the finishing touches to the new part of the shop. We knew that most of you were arriving after 10am so we spent an hour looking out of the window hoping that the paper racks would arrive before the customers. Guess what, the customers arrived and so did the TEN paper racks all in huge boxes. Thank you to everyone who helped get them up and filled. Many hands did make light work and it looked lovely when it was finished. Karen really went to town with the demos. What was supossed to be 4 half hour demos turned into a whole days play in the classroom but we think everyone enjoyed it. Another thank you goes to Gayle Bond who excelled herself with a superb selection of new cards.

Evereyone thought they were great and over the next few weeks I will be showing them all along with the Design team layouts which are starting to arrive. DT, if you are reading this, there will be new kits ready as soon as the USA delivery arrives. Hope you're feeling creative. So now for the photos.Firstly the shop

thats enough now. We don't want to give too much away but you can always pop along and see it for yourselves. Secondly the demos

Thirdly, at the end of the day we took the balloons and let them go outside the shop with a special wish for the success of our growing business.

And last but by no means least the promised layout from our guest Designer Jennie Boyns. I will upload more detail on the gallery tomorrow.

Tomorrows the big day and the shop is looking lovely. Despite not having had time to complete the shop front, we are really pleased with the results. We have managed to put out a huge selection of layouts and cards around the store to inspire you plus if you come to the shop this Saturday you will be able to see all of the crop projects including both Christmas books and the Japanese Book which we will be repeating as a class very soon and a lot of the projects already posted on this blog. We would like to welcome Jennie Boyns as our guest designer this month. She has already completed a stunning layout which I did intend to show tonight but Karen pinched it for the wall in the shop ready for

tomorrow. So instead her is a small sample of Jennies work and I promise I will put the layout on tomorrow along with photos of our open day.

Painting till all hours... and no sign of the new paper racks yet. We are all in panic mode now with only 2 days to go and we're not finished yet. The whole family has taken turns painting, plastering, sanding and glossing today just to move things along a bit. The carpet goes down tomorrow in readiness for the units and tables going in on Friday. Neither of us can wait to see the classroom finish. And actually thats my excuse for not getting home in daylight today in time to photograph Jeannies book and card. There really is no point in taking the photos under light bulbs as they never look as good. So I promise tomorrow you will see more of Jeannies work. That means for tonight you'll have to make do with pictures of us painting. So without giving to much away here they are.

I know it's like watching paint dry but it is sooooooooooooooo exciting. Don't forget we are closed on Friday to get ready for the Grand Re-Opening on Saturday. More tomorrow. You might also like: New Giveaway Announced‌‌ Happy Halloween Some People Make The World Special

Don't for get Halloween.. and Jeannie certainly hasn't. Jeannie joined Scrapbook Sisters a few weeks ago and is now a valued member of the team. After getting her head round the till and finding out about the complete chaos that goes on behind the scenes (we do badly need organising) we initiated Jeannie with some of the new Halloween papers, absolutely no instructions and let her loose on designing some goodies to share with you all. Here are two of the layouts she came up with and tomorrow I will post the other goodies which are lovely.

Jeannie has used the Adams Family range of papers along with the spider and ghost quickutz dies. Watch out fro a treat tomorrow. You might also like: Saturdays Class‌. Look Into My Eyes Class Novembers Special Edition Class Revealed

Have you ever had one of those days... when nothing seems to go right. This morning, bright and far to early, karen and I set out for IKEA to get some much needed furniture for the new classroom. After a quick cuppa (and of course a bun) we went around the store picking out what we liked. As you would expect, when we went to get it, none of it was there. We then spent many hours waiting for forklift trucks and elusive staff before we managed to get what we needed. I won't go into great detail but we didn't get back to the shop until 6pm just in time to prepare for the evening class. What a nightmare and to top it all poor Kerry is not any better and ended up at the hospital again this evening. She's now back home safe with Karen who is doing her nursing bit and making her comfortable. Hope you feel better tomorrow Kerry. We all wish you a speedy recovery. Here comes the bride no Karen isn't taking a trip down the aisle but we are off to our Cousin Philips' wedding today so it's time to get the glad rags out. Poor Kerry is really poorly with tonsillitis so she can't watch the shop for us today. As a result we will have to close at 11.30 this morning but we will re-open as usual for the Class on Monday night. Hope you're better soon Kerry. All of the cameras are charging (yes I am taking more than one) and apart from preparing the website for

tomorrow everything is looking good. I'm sure we will be back late tonight and probably a liitle worse for wear so here is the inspiration for today just in case I don't get round to it tonight.

Vintage and Peel-Offs!!!!!! You either love or hate peel-offs but as time goes by you get to realise that peel-offs are evolving all the time and have many, many uses. This lovely layout by Julie Cottam uses the naturally aged 7 Gypsies Papers with the Modern Gold/Clear Alphabet Peel-Offs stuck onto papers, cut out and placed on the layout, using foam padsfor the title.

The Peel-Offs have been used on the brads, for the title of the page and as decoration on some of the circles and yet the feel of this piece is still aged and right for the picture.

Nothing like a bit of Altered Art even if it is basic and clean. In tonights example the background is A4 victorian handwriting vellum held on the card with 2 silver brads. The maroon ribbon also helps to hold the vellum in place.

The front of the bag was made using the Queen of Hearts stamp and a black Stazon ink pad. I then covered the image with Glossy Accents to give it a shine and added a sparklers crown.

The clasp was finished off with another smaller sparklers crown and the handle was made from twisted gold organza ribbon. A small ball charm added to the detail.

As with all the bags, a small accordian fold is used to allow the bag to open.

The greeting goes inside the handbag. I have used silver peel-offs and diamontes in this card.

The fringe at the bottom of the bag is the stamped image cut into tiny strands and then bent up and down.

We have noticed that many customers pass them by assuming that their superb price means low quality. This cannot be further from the truth. These papers give good quality papers at a price affordable to everyone and they make superb cards as well. Here are a couple designed by Gayle Bond.

The first card is an accordian card. The pockets can be filled with any number depending on the age of the child.

This second card was made by using 2 pages of the Snakes and Ladders paper. One was used for the background and the other was cut out, decoupages and then Glossy Accents used to highlight the snakes and ladders.

If you like the look of these cards why not take a look at the other 6 x 6 paper packs available on our website. More tomorrow. You might also like: And the winner is‌.. Just so pretty Another Crop over

Sisters................. Loads of you have asked what the picture is in the background on most of our gallery photos so just for you here is a glimpse of the beautiful framed page I received from karen last Christmas. It takes pride of place in our house and was easily the best present a sister could ever receive.

The photo taken at Madame Tussauds in Las Vegas where we rubbed shoulders with the stars and even married George Cloony (but thats another story). Here are some more photos. I had to take it out of the frame because of the reflection but you will see the complete present at the very end.

Now wait a minute. Did you see the posing pussycat in the last photo. Well let me introduce you to Sonic, the poser in the family who absolutely refused to move while I took the pictures.

And now back to more details of the frame.

The picture frame which included a 12 x 12 aperture mount board came from Wilkinsons; The papers cut into squares and surrounding the 12 x 12 page were made from Basic Grey Blush Range and the stitching was made with a black Gel Pen; Sisters was Basic Grey Chipboard and the cardstock for matting the photo was Bazzill. Hope you like it. I certainly did. Look out for more tomorrow. You might also like:

Sunflowers and Magenta Go really well together. This peel-Off has sold out time and time again in the shop.

Karen has put the peel-off sunflowers onto Magenta paper and cut them out. The background paper is also Magenta. A really simple card, ideal for a beginner and so easy to make.

Boy Zone.............. Looking for something for a boys birthday. How about this great stamp set by Woodware.

These are acrylic stamps so you will need an acrylic block but they are so easy to use. In these two examples the images have been stamped on white with black stazon. The boy images have then been stamped again, coloured with gel pens and decoupaged onto the b & w card.

Here is the shopping list: Boy Zone Stamps; Acrylic Block; Black Stazon; White Bazzill Cardstock; Raven Bazzill Cardstock; Gel Pens; Herma Adhesive. Hope you like them You might also like: We have a budding Super Model in our midst

Who'd have thought it......................... how easy it is to make a fantastic card from peel-offs. These are just two of the hundreds of peel-offs we now have in the shop.

and here are just two of the cards you can make with them.

You can find the peel-offs here. The leaf paper used in the Thank You card is called Botanical Garden and the Delicate Flower Peel-Offs are painted using the Stargazers Watercolour Palette and Water Brushes. The leaf Peel-Offs on the flower card have been stuck on vellum and cut out. If you want to make this card you will need 2 sheets of the peel-offs.

So we gave the stamp to Gayle Bond and this is what she did with it. You can see more detailed images on the at www.scrapbooksisters.co.uk

Paris.................. A wonderful place to spend a few days but not if you have a rotten cold. Hubby decided he wanted to go on Eurostar from Waterloo so we were up at the crack of dawn to get a train from Victoria to Waterloo East and then the Eurostar back past our house to France. I felt a bit rough on the way there but put it down to too much late night scrapping. BIG MISTAKE!!! Did you know it's near enough impossible to get the any form of cold drug in Paris if you happen to mention you have asthma?? Despite protesting (quite strongly in a very sniffly voice) that I take medicine every time I have a cold, I ended up with herbal tablets (1 every hour until you feel better) and a nasal spray which contained the entire contents of the english channel (Pure sea water yuk!!!) Anyway, cold aside we still managed to get out and about and see the sites. It was a complete novelty to be

able to wear a short sleeved top and SUNGLASSES. Here a few of the pictures.

We had a great time and as usual it went far too quickly.

It was soon time to board the Eurostar back to the rain. Never mind there's always nect year. You might also like: The Winner Of challenge Twelve Is‌‌. Sisters are doing it for themselves Victoria Gardens

Typical.......... You know, I have been waiting all weekend for a glimmer of sunshine in order to photograph the amazing layouts, projects, mini books and altered art that everyone has sent or brought in. Has it stopped raining? NO!!!! Has the sun come out? NO!!!! I refuse to photograph in this dismal light and take mediocre photos of your fantastic creations so I have to wait. Today my task is to make beads and charms in readiness for tonights class. This is my favorite sort of crafting, up to my neck in embossing powder, paper and loads and loads of dabbers and inks, H2O's and Chalks. It's hard work but someone's got to do it. Bone Folders at the ready.....

We laughed so much last night at the class what naughty ladies you all are. The night started well everyone was eager and ready with their bone folders and rulers but soon we were laughing and a mountain of tissues appeared from those crying eyes.I took alot of abuse from a visitor to my class about Julies cakes and special gifts for her classes is this true??? After many folds and a bit of wheeling and dealing our project began to take shape.A few people had to be

rescued as they were too busy laughing and stuck things the wrong way but in the end everyone left with a completed _____ (sorry can't tell you what they made yet as we still have another 6 classes to go). It was a great night though and I will scrap this photo with more details of the night over the weekend. Countdown...................... to the Crop and we are both working all hours to finish the kits for the classes. You would never believe the time it takes to get everything ready and despite doing this on a regular basis we are never any better organised.

Hubby has lost any hope of eating at the dining room table for the forseeable future and as I've blocked the door off to the garden with boxes he has to be content with looking through the window. Hay fever has kicked in this week. Every year I hope that I won't get it again and every year the itchy eyes appear in the mirror and I get out the eye drops (yuk!!) Well better get on. Nearly time for bed................. Well I'm nearly at the end of another long day. Up this morning at 6am and still up at 10.30pm. I must be mad!!! A list of disasters have followed me around today. Started the day by taking a mounthful of Rice Crispies only to find the milk was off. YUK!! then spent 15 minutes turning the bedroom upside down trying to find a pair of tights that had no ladders. Decided to be good before going out and do the washing up by hand!! result - left sleeve soaking wet and dripping water all down my suit. So, change cardigan, find shoes (one was in the car) and then at last out the door. Decided not to fill up with petrol just yet as now running late. Big mistake. Got caught in long traffic jam and only just made it to the next garage. On arrival at appointment got out of the car and put shoe straight into deep pubble. I now have a wet foot, nothing to wipe it on and I'm late for my appointment. After appointment came straight home. Well whats the point in tempting fate right? Now I'm finishing off my altered book. I knew something had to go right for me today. I definately should have stayed at home today. Scrapping is much more fun. What a fantastic weekend.............. It has taken until this morning for both of us to get back to normal after a fantastic Crop this weekend. With the papers turning up late we were still working on the class kits as late as Friday night as well as packing up the shop. Here a peek at the projects we completed. You can see the full projects in our gallery.

We were over the moon at the end of the crop when one of our juniors, Nicola, gave us a hand made card as a thank you. She had made it herself in the card class and it was beautiful. Take a look for yourself.

Yesterday we got "the call" from customs saying that our USA delivery had arrived. We are so excited as this is the first really big order we have received direct from the suppliers, and so quickly too. New goodies should start going on the site this week and we can then get the DT kits out. We know that all of the team are dying to get their hands on the new stash. So busy......

but still time to make a few bits for the shop.I wanted to do something different with this paper bag ( now available in store)I have discovered glossy accents. I love this stuff and with a few of my beads that I have had for years I have decorated the basic grey paper.I am so pleased with the outcome that I can see beads popping up all over the place from now on. I have been busy creating my project for the crop next saturday but as the papers have not yet arrived I am making everything in white paper. It is taking shape and the idea is that all I have to do is put it all together. I am really pleased with it so far and hope that it looks as good in the papers. It's Madness................... Isn't it funny. One minute you're sitting twiddling your thumbs (I wish) and the next you are swamped with work. Box after box has slowly been piled up in the store room and I have been forbidden to put it into the shop until it is on the internet. You can't imagine the temptation!!!!! As usual my table is totally covered in projects either unfinished or ready to start and although it looks bad I really, really know where everything is.

At the moment I am working on the One Moments in Time class for the crop, the next set of classes and the Basic Computing class on Friday. " Big Mistake"

To let us go scrapbook shopping. Yes, Terry allowed us 3 hours this morning to hit the shops and boy did we shop!!! Aisles of papers, stickers, ribbon and of course Karens favorite CHIPBOARD. We have had to go out and buy another suitcase just to get it all home. We have managed to get most of the stuff you asked for but alas no Circut to be found in the shops (Sorry Bev). Sandra, still looking for Advil. We hope to have more success tomorrow. After filling the boot and the back seat we set off for HOLLYWOOD!! Our first stop was to book a trip on an open topped bus to the Hollywood sign and around Beverley Hills. While we were waiting we walked down the road to the Chinese Theatre and took picture of the signatures in cement. WOW!!! With our great tour guide we laughed our way up to the Hollywood sign making sure, as we left the bus, that we didn't bump into any snakes or mountain lions (no joke). The most breath taking part of our holiday yet was the view over the City of Angels. Something none of us will ever forget. We then were taken around Beverley Hills where we saw the homes of the Stars both old and new. (How the other half live). The final part of our trip was down Sunset Boulevard and Rodeo Drive BABY!!!!!! Well folks, it's back to the hotel room now to pack and by the time you go to bed on Friday evening, we will be on our way home. Will try to update you from the airport if we can and photos will be posted on our return. (Karen still not smoking) LOVE AND KISSES TO ALL OF OUR FAMILY. On top of the world...... Fantastic day today at Universal Studios. Danced with Shrek, met Frankinstein, and laughed with Donkey. We've been Back to the Future, met Shrek and his friends on their new adventures, got soaked in Waterworld and then dried off in Back Draft. Survived a major earth quake and a close encounter with Jaws.

So much to do in so little time but we managed to cram it all in. Finished the day off by shopping in Universal City Walk (think we need to buy an extra suitcase) Actually we'd better buy 2 as we are hitting some more Scrapbook Shops tomorrow. Off now to Dennys for an evening meal before having an early night (Can't keep awake). Day 6 of NO SMOKING for Karen and she's still smiling.(Taken over 1000 photo's between us...............no we're not joking with over 400 of those at the show on Monday and Tuesday). What a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woke early this morning after a 14 hour sleep (Karen still not smoking so is sleeping instead) and started off the day with a light breakfast. A short walk to the Convention Centre and we were off again, pads and pencils at the ready. Special mentions today go to Magenta (loads of fantastic goodies here)Just wait for the crop!!!!; Anna Griffin has just launched 6 new ranges and they are stunning (Julie had to be dragged away); Basic Grey as usual some interesting creations. Have selected the best of the rest. We both took part in loads of make and takes today with Karens favorite being Creative Imaginations and Julies being Ranger (Well what did you expect!!!). Still unable to upload any photos. Can't get the machine to work however they will be uploaded on our return in the appropriate places. Went out for a lovely meal at a traditional American Steak House. Just like Cheers and we were made to feel very welcome. Speechless................. and you know how hard that is!!!!

Set off early this morning to CHA. Could not believe the size of the map let alone the actual centre itself. We sat and planned our route for today over a hot chocolate and a Twix (No maltesers in USA) and circled each stand we wanted to visit. Started off with the new exibits and found some exciting new papers and ideas. Then ventured into the main hall. Visited Bazzill - great new products which will be winging their way to us shortly. Stunning new K & Co products which took our breath away for release later this year, again ordered (ouch!!) Chipboard everywhere in all shapes and sizes. We've picked out the best of the bunch. I had to stop Karen from raiding the stands and checked her bags at regular intervals. (I even had to drag her away from a demo as she wanted to PLAY!!!!) Did a few classes and took over 300 photos which (if we can work out how to do it) we will add to the BLOG. Four carrier bags full of catalogues and both of us met Karen Foster and came away with T-Shirts (signed). Also said hello to Heidi Swapp. Nice lady. Must just mention a few of our favorite things...... Julie - 7 Gypsies (distressed and vintage - scrummy); Pine Cone(Blown away by these and coming to you soon); Crate Paper (Beautiful new papers) Karen - QuicKutz (have now convinced Julie that we need The Revolution); Maya Road (Chipboard, Chipboard, Chipboard); Heidi Grace (for all those girlie bits); Bare Elements (If you like my mannequin wait till you see these). Just off to the Steak House. Would like to take this opportunity to tell all of our family we love and miss you. California............................. First Karen made a surprise announcement at Heathrow and had her last cigarette before we boarded the plane.

After a mamouth flight we arrived safetly in L.A. tired but excited. Managed to crawl to Denny's for burgers and chips and then crawl our way back to the hotel for a much needed sleep, but found ourselves wide awake at 4 o'clock in the morning drinking tea. Met out rep at a ridiculous hour of the morning and arranged our trips to Sea World and Universal Studios. All that we had to do then was decide where to go first.(Karen still not smoking). Disney won hands down but first and most importantly we went to Michaels (a huge one) where we spent a lot of time (and money) arguing over who was going to have what. Terry nearly got us to Disney but we had one more stop to make. We went to "Full Of Scrap just outside Anehiem and guess what their morning class was making? Yes you've guessed it, a Concertina Book. Spent loads of time here chatting with the guy there and even managed to get behind the counter for some photos (which we are still trying to upload onto this blog). Next stop Disney. Have to mention the Tower of Terror and California Screamin. Spent some time searching for the characters. We were the only ones who had our photos taken WITHOUT any kids.Left Disney very late with blisters on our feet and headed straight for Dennys for round 2 of burgers. Much better nights sleep and had now caught up with LA time. Made a decision at breakfast to leave CHA until Monday. Instead we got in the car and headed to Seaworld. Have spent the whole day today with the animals and taken loads of photos. Tomorrow we intend to go to CHA whilst terry leaves us for his own adventure. He plans to drive to Vegas and stay overnight, then has booked a helicopter flight to the Grand Cannon and will return to LA the following night. This gives us 2 days of total scrap!!!!!! Sorry for the delay in updating the Blog but it has taken us this long to find somewhere we could use the net (we picked the only hotel without internet access) Check back tomorrow for an update from CHA. 3 Days To Go.......... I am getting a little excited now. Julie rang last night to say that the taxi is booked for 5am friday morning and I have started to prepare some summer clothes for the trip.My brain is on overtime as I have to sort the kids out with everything they will need. I have started a list of things for them but I can see it ending up as a novel.A second list was started last night for mum with all the bits for the shop. She is keeping the shop open for us while we are away, what would we do without her ! The shop is now back to normal. Isn't it funny that it only seemed to take an hour to pack it up for the crop but 5 hours to unpack and still it needs some fine tuning.Today I hope to get everything sorted and ready for us going away.We are still waiting for lots of goodies to arrive that had to be re sent as they were damaged but the Design Team kits will be going out on Thursday come hell or high water. We can't wait to see what the Team come up with. Have a great day POST E D B Y SCRA PB OOK SI ST ER S B L OG A T 8: 21 A M 2 COMME NT S:

The day went so quickly it was lovely to walk around and see everyones creations. I was so jealous that I was not able to sit and scrap with you. I need to extend the day so that I can sit and play. Wouldnt it be great to carry it on until 10pm......I was so excited to see the junior scrappers doing so well. Don't forget girls to bring your starbooks in so that we can put them on the website and any pages etc that you would like to see on- line.At the next crop you will be makins something special for mum . As you know the next crop has gone on line tickets are selling so fast so make sure you book your place and be quick with the classes as there are only a few places left. Bad blogger I have been very bad and not blogged for a while I hope to change all this with all our up and coming news and events. Firstly I have been very busy learning how to work the new forum due to go live on the 10th of Feb. This is going to be great and we hope everyone will get involved. I have also been working on the preparations for the crop this has taken alot of my time. I am really enjoying the "enveloped in love" class and I hope that everyone who has booked it will love it as much as me. It has all sold out now but I will post the finished item in our gallery after the crop. We are nearing a sell out at the crop so if you haven't got your tickets then be quick. Don't forget we are at a new and bigger location this time .

Congratulations to both of our competition winners and thank you to everyone who entered. Also congratulations to our new design team. I can't wait to see their work we have some very talented ladies. I know I have driven everyone mad on the ward where I work today and now its your turn to know that I only have 19 days before I fly out to the USA .I apologise now for the amount of times I mention that I am flying to the USA . If anyone has been to Anaheim I would be interested to know of any Scrapbook shops or places to visit. We have 3 days at CHA and then 5 days to holiday. After an over whelming sale ( you ladies can really shop) we have ordered loads of new goodies which have already started to arrive.Loads more are due in this week so keep checking the new products section on the site.I love the new Karen Foster papers and have already started using them. They are selling fast so be quick. This weekend I have been playing with my Quickutz and will post my finished creations tomorrow for some reason I cannot get the scanner to work. The new shapes are due in this week and I have already got some ideas for using them. Well enough from me have a great evening.
