The large puddle that forms from irrigation water on the cart path in front of #14 tees was drained. A large puddle on the cart path between #6 fairways was drained and sodded as well. The next projects are more tree and desert trimming around tee boxes, including thinning of cactus and trees left of #14 tees, and left of the tees on #15. #18 will be trimmed at both the tees and behind the green to open views.

Recording the minutes of our club’s meetings is the main function of our secretaries. This may sound simple, but it can be very challenging to accurately record our discussions, reports and actions. The position of secretary for women’s golf clubs dates back to 1873. The posiKelli Mannon and Deborah DeCuir tion was held by a gentleman. It was not until 1886 that the first female secretary was elected at the Carnoustie Ladies Golf Club in Ireland. We are very fortunate to have two members that share this role in our club, Deborah DeCuir and Kelli Mannon. We all can appreciate the detail and focus required to accurately record any meeting. We have two sets of meetings that require taking notes: the monthly general meetings and the monthly board meetings. Deborah DeCuir and Kelli Mannon handle this responsibility very well. Thank you, Deborah and Kelli; you make a great team.
