ISSUE 180 – 30th April 2015 Congratulations to Cineworld Team for Best Video Campaign Award This week, the Cineworld Team from Starcom MediaVest Group attended the ‘The Drum Digital Trading Awards 2015’, and were presented with the award for ‘Best Video Campaign’. As part of this award winning campaign Cineworld collaborated with Disney using the smart use of shared data to retarget to users who had watched the official Guardians of the Galaxy trailer on YouTube with their own unique Cineworld content.

Samsung Mock iPhone 6S Searchers Earlier this week Samsung created a media stir, when they generated new PPC ads specifically targeting users that were searching for the iPhone 6S with their own Samsung S6 ad copy complete with Google autocorrections to correct Apple customers. There has long been a bitter rivalry between these 2 global mobile provider powerhouses and this is just another attempt from Samsung to mock their key competitor.

Better Presentation of URLs in Search Results Google has updated the algorithms that display URLs in mobile search results in order to help users better understand the page topic and how the page fits within the website. The new algorithm will use the name of the site rather than the domain name and the URL structure will be shown in a breadcrumb type format.
