THE EDWARDIAN GAZETTE Message from the Headmaster Dear Parents and Community Members We are currently updating the students’ population for the scholastic year 2011-2012. All students who are presently attending St Edward’s College will automatically be included in the lists for the next scholastic year, unless we receive notice otherwise. Please note that in accordance with the College’s Rules and Regulations, the College must be given two months notice of withdrawal in writing. Late notices will not be accepted and, therefore, the first term’s fee would still be due. You are, therefore, kindly asked to advise us in writing before the end of July if for any reason, whatsoever, your child will not be attending St Edward’s College in September 2011.

THE EDWARD Board of Dear Parents Appointment of Headmaster

The Board of Governors has appointed Mr George Bowery B Ed (Durham) M Ed NPQH, as He speak informally to members of the teaching and administrative staff, a good number of the boy 6th Form students. He also had an informal meeting with the Trustees and Members of the Boa students were greatly appreciated.

Mr George Bowery brings with him a career in education spanning over 35 years. He is curren school in the country, with a student population of over 1000. Like St Edward's this school caters Levels and IB as well as the local national curriculum. Mr Bowery has been in Kuwait for 10 NPQH (The National Professional Qualification for Headship), a mandatory qualification for Hea ketball player in the UK and is very keen on coaching our students.

Apart from enjoying a very healthy relationship with parents of various nationalities, Mr Bowery reflecting the attention and care he gives his teaching and administrative staff.

Mr Bowery will oversee the management of St Edward's from 1st July, and will move to Malta p on a regular basis.

I am sure you will join the Board of Governors in welcoming Mr and Mrs Bowery. Mrs Bower College, where they shall take up residence.

We are therefore ready for bookings for weddings and other civil functions. Our prices are as follows :  

These are usually advertised in the Gazette and are sanctioned by the College. You may also hear of other classes are offered on the island. Some of our teachers may be involved in these. These are not College related in any way. Finally, generally speaking, if a student works hard all the time, extra lessons are not required. Headmaster

Comenius Partnership Programme – Malta and Bulg

The College undertook a two year Comenius Funded project with another school in Bulgaria. In April 2010 the man Resort Hotel, Qawra and also visited various National Parks and museums. A visit to Playm Recently the Kindergarten children went on an outing to the Playmobil Fun Park in Hal Far.

The children arrived at college full of excitement, eagerly looking forward to their outing. Shortly afterwards, th toys available at the fun park, stopping mid morning for a much needed snack! Before leaving the Fun Park, the arrived back at college shortly after, tired but happy!
