Group work: How is my smartphone (product) made? • Students analyse the life cycle of a product. They give recommendations to make the product or business model more sustainable.

HOW TO USE? In this learning material, students deal with a complex problem using Problem-Based Learning. Based on a few example case studies, students collect information on how a product is made and what happens after it is discarded. Subsequently, they formulate advice on how to improve the overall sustainability of the product In the word file, you can find the instructions for the students. It is possible to do the complete exercise together with the students. You can use the powerpoint presentation to go through the lifecycle of a smartphone or avocado. Afterward, students can do the same exercise for a product they choose by themselves. It is also possible to start immediately with the exercise. Let the students work in groups and make sure they have access to the internet to look some things up.
