A Pink Champagne Reception and all with a perfect first view of “that dress” or in the case of the gentleman the first view of “Her RoyalHotness”. A RIGHT ROYAL OCCASION IN SUAVE. Cometh the hour, cometh the man. Or so the saying goes. Peter Clough stood a lonely man, regal in looks and attire but some would say giving a fine impression of a swan. Serene on the surface but turmoil underneath. The venue was visually perfect with cutlery mathematically positioned flower arrangements visually elegant and the Wedding Cake in prime position, waiting to be viewed and admired by all but would it be worthy of the guests’ praise. Time would only tell. At the appointed hour they arrived as a wedding throng. Fascinators and hats in profusion, suits and ties in traditional manner and once seated the customary late arrivals were apparent, the girls from the previous nights party. Let the celebrations begin.

As the newly married couple leave The Abbey a fantastic three course meal is served (it would not have been out of place at any Royal Occasion) and as they all enter The Palace we are royally entertained by The Wedding Singer, a wonderful voice and a personality to match. The dancing only ceased as the married couple emerged on the balcony. As the Ladies wait for “That Kiss” and the Gentlemen the Fly Past. Whatever the most moving the tears and cheers were abundant. As evening fell and the Guests drifted away it was a unanimous verdict that it had been a right Royal Occasion enjoyed by all and that Catherine and William weren’t too bad either. Thank you to The Queen of Suave, Peter Clough and his magnificent staff for a wonderful day to remember.

Oh bee hive! When Irish expatriate Andrew Short, 38, of Flemington, Vic., Australia, came home from a pub, he decided it was the right time to move his beehive onto the roof of his house. So, he donned his bee suit and went to work -- at midnight. He noticed some bees on his veil, "And then I realized, he's not on the outside, he's on the inside." Startled, Short bumped the hive and all 8,000 bees swarmed, with about 60 invading his suit. "I was up the ladder holding the hive, so the job wasn't done yet," he said, but once they started stinging him he thought it was best to get back on the ground. An ambulance took him to the hospital with about 60 stings to his upper body. "A few beers maybe and a ladder," Short summarized: "It's a bad combination." (MS/Australian AP) ...Usually, those are the victim's last words. Photo Op! The Alaska Board of Game has passed a new law: don't Taser a moose unless your life is under direct threat. Why is such a rule necessary? "Conceivably someone could Tase a moose or

bear, go up and get a picture taken with it, shut the [Taser] off and then release the animal," said biologist Larry Lewis, the "Taser expert" at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. Lewis describes such a scenario as "catch and release hunting." With no law against that sort of thing, "it's ripe for abuse," Lewis said. "What we wanted to do was kind of head off at the pass any non-trained use of this equipment." (RC/ Fairbanks Daily NewsMiner) ...Tasers have a maximum range of 25 feet. I say let the obliviots take their chances. Confession is good for the soul: Investigators solved a $62,000 bank robbery in Houston, Texas, thanks to the suspects posting details of the crime to Facebook. Two days before the heist, bank teller Estefany Martinez, 19, posted, "Get $$$." The day after, she posted, "IM RICH". Her boyfriend, Ricky "Ricko Gee" Gonzalez, 18, posted "WIPE MY TEETH WITH HUNDEREDS" and "U HAVE TO PAST THE LINE SOMETIMES!! TO GET DIS MONEY!!" Online friends tipped the cops to the posts after hearing about the robbery at Martinez's bank. The only other teller on duty during the robbery, Anna Margarita Rivera, also 19, was also arrested in the plot. Her brother, Arturo Solano, 22, allegedly helped Gonzalez pull off the actual heist. Martinez was on duty during a previous real robbery and, she told detectives, thought staging a robbery would be "easy" to pull off. (MS/Houston Chronicle) ...Sure it's easy to do a robbery. The hard part is getting away with it. Do you want fries with that? Someone broke into Bobby Smith's home in Jacksonville, Fla. "I was angry, I was upset," said Smith, 81 and a Korean War Navy veteran. "If I'd had my gun, like I normally would have, I would have shot him." Smith was working outside in his garden when his caregiver ran out and said someone was inside the house. Smith went in to find a man holding his money, ID cards, and a gun. The man said, "Gimme what you got" just before he shoved Smith to the ground and took his wallet. Smith grabbed a frying pan used to cook the morning potatoes "and hit him upside the head. I knocked his teeth out." Then Smith saw his pitchfork and "I stuck him," and the thief ran, "bleeding on the way out." The intruder hasn't been found. (JW/Florida Times-Union) ..."Gimme what you got"? Yep: he got it.

Yemen Area: 555,000km2 Population: 23,580,000 Capital City: Sana'a Official Language: Arabic Religion: Islam Currency: Yemeni rial Yemen, officially the Republic of Yemen, is a country located in the Middle East. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the north, the Red Sea to the west, and Oman to the east. Yemen's territory includes over 200 islands, the largest of which is Socotra, about 415km to the south of mainland Yemen, off the coast of Somalia. It is the only state in the Arabian Peninsula to have a purely republican form of government.Yemen has long existed at the crossroads of cultures; it linked some of the oldest centres of civilization in the Near East by virtue of its location in South Arabia. Between the 12th century BC and the 6th century, it was part of the Minaean, Sabaean, Hadhramaut, Qataban, Ausan, and Himyarite kingdoms, which controlled the lucrative spice trade, and later came under Ethiopian and Persian

rule. In the 6th century, the Himyarite king Abu-Karib Assad converted to Judaism. In the 7th century, Islamic caliphs began to exert control over the area. After this caliphate broke up, South Arabia came under the control of many dynasties who ruled part, or often all, of South Arabia. Imams of Persian origin ruled Yemen intermittently for 160 years, establishing a theocratic political structure that survived until modern times. Egyptian Shia caliphs occupied much of Yemen throughout the 11th century. By the 16th century and again in the 19th century, Yemen was part of the Ottoman Empire, and in some periods Imams exerted control over all Yemen. Sport Yemen's mountains provide many opportunities for outdoor sports, such as biking, rock climbing, hill climbing, skiing, hiking, mountain jumping, and more challenging mountain climbing. Mountain climbing and hiking tours to the Sarawat Mountains and the Jabal an Nabi Shu'ayb, including the 5,000 m peaks in the region. Football is a popular sport. The Yemen national football team competes in the FIFA and AFC leagues. The coast of Yemen and Socotra island also provide many opportunities for water sports, such as surfing, body boarding, sailing, swimming, and beach soccer. Socotra island is home to some of the best surfing destinations in the world. Surfing tours in Socotra are seasonally organized by local

and international water sporting agencies. Camel Jumping is popular among the Zaraniq tribe on the west coast of Yemen on the desert plain by the Red Sea. Camels are rounded up and placed side to side. Athletes jump from a running start. Yemen's biggest sports event was hosting the 2010 Gulf Cup of Nations in Aden and Abyan in the south of the country in, 2010. Yemen was thought to be the strongest competitor but was defeated in the first three matches of the tournament. The Yemeni national team has never won a championship, though it includes many renowned Arab players. World Heritage sites Among Yemen’s natural and cultural attractions are four World Heritage sites. The Old Walled City of Shibam in Wadi Hadhramaut, inscribed by UNESCO in 1982, two years after Yemen joined the World Heritage Committee, is nicknamed "Manhattan of the Desert" because of its "skyscrapers." Surrounded by a fortified wall made of mud and straw, the 16thcentury city is one of the oldest examples of urban

planning based on the principle of vertical construction. The ancient Old City of Sana’a, at an altitude of more than 7,000 feet, has been inhabited for over two and a half millennia. Sana’a became a major Islamic centre in the 7th century, and the 103 mosques, 14 hammams (traditional bath houses), and more than 6,000 houses that survive all date from before the 11th century. Close to the Red Sea Coast, the Historic Town of Zabid, was Yemen’s capital from the 13th - 15th century, and is an archaeological and historical site. It played an important role for many centuries because of its university, which was a centre of learning for the whole Arab and Islamic world. Algebra is said to have been invented there in the early 9th century by the little-known scholar Al- Jaladi. The latest addition to Yemen’s list of World Heritage Sites is the Socotra Archipelago. Mentioned by Marco Polo in the 13th century, this remote and isolated archipelago consists of four islands and two rocky islets near the Gulf of Aden. The site has a rich biodiversity. Nowhere else in the world do 37% of Socotra’s 825 plants, 90% of its reptiles and 95% of its snails occur. It is home to 192 bird species, 253 species of coral, 730 species of coastal fish, and 300 species of crab and lobster, as well as a range of Aloes and the Dragon’s Blood Tree. The cultural heritage of Socotra includes the unique Soqotri language.

pain when urinating or during sex Other less common symptoms include: pain in the lower back blood in the urine Every man has one, it's important for their sex life, yet few men know anything about their prostate or what can go wrong with it. According to a survey of men aged 45 and over by the Prostate Cancer Charity (PCC), 70% of them knew nothing about their prostate or the symptoms of prostate cancer. The prostate, found only in men, is located below the bladder. It produces some of the fluid in semen and is crucial to a man’s sex life. The prostate fluid nourishes and protects sperm during intercourse and forms the bulk of ejaculate volume. The prostate often enlarges as men get older but for two-thirds of men aged 50 or over this doesn’t cause any problems. In some cases, an enlarged prostate can press on the tube carrying urine from the bladder and cause urinary problems. Other prostate conditions include inflammation of the gland, which is sometimes caused by an infection, also known as prostatitis. This can make urinating painful. Sometimes, a single cell in the prostate starts to multiply out of control and cancer can develop. Most common cancer Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with more than 30,000 men diagnosed annually. Around 10,000 men die from it every year, making it the second most common cause of cancer deaths in men, after lung cancer. Most men with early prostate cancer have no symptoms at all. Some of the symptoms of prostate cancer below can also be caused by other prostate problems. Symptoms of all prostate problems include: needing to urinate often, especially at night difficulty starting to urinate straining to urinate or taking a long time to finish

High-risk group Black men are three times more likely to develop prostate cancer than white men. Researchers are looking at what may be the cause of this increased risk but genes probably play an important role. Many men over 70 have prostate cancer, even though most of them will never have it diagnosed or have any symptoms. In the majority (80%) of cases, this is a slow-growing cancer and it may stay undiagnosed because it never causes any symptoms or problems. In the other 20% of cases, the prostate cancer cells can grow quickly and move outside the prostate, spreading the cancer to other parts of the body, such as the bones. Age increases risk The risk of getting prostate cancer gets higher as you get older. Most men diagnosed with the condition are over 50. However, survival rates of newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients have improved from 30% in the 1970s to 80% today. If you have a father or brother diagnosed with prostate cancer, your risk of getting the disease is 2.5 times higher compared to the average man. The risk increases to 4.3 if the relative was diagnosed before the age of 60. A man is three times more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer if he comes from an African or AfricanCaribbean background. Researchers believe a diet high in saturated animal fats and red meat may be responsible for the high incidence of prostate cancer in Western countries. It is thought that reducing your intake of animal fat and eating more fruit and vegetables may lower the risk of prostate A simple blood test could save your life.

The weather was lovely in the UK for the Royal Wedding, and no less so here in Spain the following Sunday May 1st when the Kidz Inland group hosted a red, white and blue street party to Los Arcos to help celebrate the occasion. Over 60 children and 100 adults from all over the area attended the event which included Victorian style side stall games including hook the duck and the ever popular splat the rat. Throughout the day acts and groups entertained the children, amongst them Poppi the clown, a fantastic acrobatic display, circus skills and a spectacular preview performance of "Oliver with a twist" from the Family of Sound group. If this was just a small sample from rehearsals, then the actual show promises to be as wonderful at their Cinderella Panto last February. A new venue has been chosen for the

performance on Sunday June 19th, and the show is set “in the round” so to speak, with actors, singers and dancers taking advantage of the entire room to perform. Depending on where you sit, you could find yourself very close to Nancy or Bet as they serve flagons of Ale to a thirsty Fagin or Bill Sykes ! We spoke to Sandie from Family of Sound who tells us rehearsals are going very well, not only the children but the adult cast have taken their roles to heart. Our new venue Casa Vazquez (formally the Albatross) is set on the carretara de Coin Km 14, just opposite Lauro Golf in Alhaurin el Grande. The owners are helping to set the atmosphere for the show by serving flagons of beer and sangria (also bottle of wine) during the show, and an after show menu of the day. Oliver with a twist for one performance only Sunday 19th June. Tickets only 5 euros. Call the box office today on 952490003. The Family of sound will be enrolling new members including a special junior club for the under 8’s in July. See the website for more details : www.familyofsound.es

Honouring those who improve the species.... by accidently removing themselves from it! or almost! Gun Safety Training 2000 Darwin Award Runner-Up (Confirmed True by Darwin) (28 February 2000, Texas) A Houston man earned a succinct lesson in gun safety when he played Russian roulette with a .45-caliber semiautomatic pistol. Rashaad, nineteen, was visiting friends when he announced his intention to play the deadly game. He apparently did not realize that a semiautomatic pistol, unlike a revolver, automatically inserts a cartridge into the firing chamber when the gun is cocked. His chance of winning a round of Russian roulette was zero, as he quickly discovered. Do It Yourself, Do Yourself In 2000 Darwin Award Winner (Confirmed True by Darwin) (2000, Colorado) Summer is the most blissful of seasons, when our favorite summertime activity - do it yourself stupidity -- kicks into high gear. Meet Charles, 34, a Denver masonry contractor who created brick and mortar edifices. Charles was in construction. He had worked on houses, he had watched electricians install wiring. He believed

this qualified him as a member of the Junior Electrician Society. He figured he could handle any electrical issue that came up around his own home. One day on the job, Charles was apparently bonked in the head by his bricks. He had the great idea! He would build an electric fence in his own backyard. "An electric fence will keep the dogs in." Charles connected a wire to an extension cord, and managed to encircle his backyard with a 120V strand of wire without mishap. His dogs will not be sued for puppy support with this security system in place! The household became accustomed to the fence, and things settled down to normal, until Charles picked up a passion for gardening. Charles had a real nice set of tomatoes, and I'm not referring to his wife. One day he reached for a tomato, put his hand on the electrified wire, and there's really no need to explain what happened next. Why did this man die? Like other inexperienced people, he thought he knew what he was doing. But his design had two major flaws. Fences constructed for dogs use one-tenth the voltage of cattle fences (which do use 120 volts.) And he needed to install a repeater, which transmits 150microsecond pulses, to hit a cow with a jolt of juice that cuts off in time to avoid creating a pile of rare steaks by the fence. The moral of this story is, as always, one of the guiding principles of common sense: if you don't know how to do something, don't do it!

We’ve all been hearing about Katie Price’s hair woes for the last few months or so (God knows she’s gone on about it enough on Twitter) and now it seems as though the former glamour model is finally going to do something about it. Katie’s hair was left falling out in patches after a visit to a salon in America where she paid a reported £11,000 for extensions and colouring, and now she’s asking for a full refund plus compensation from the place where she had it all done. The reality star – who was sporting the dodgy extensions during a trip to a London hotel – spent five days at the LA salon having her hair lightened from brunette to blonde. She was initially told the process would not damage her hair, but when she got back to the UK it started breaking off. A source close to her commented. When she complained to the hairdressers Katie was allegedly offered 50% compensation and an invitation to return to have it corrected, but that offer was supposedly withdrawn and now she’s thought to have called in the lawyers to sort it out. A spokesperson at the salon said: ‘I can’t really talk about it but let’s just say I don’t think she’ll be coming back. It doesn’t bother us and to be honest it’s a relief. We handle the biggest stars in Hollywood. She’s a nobody.’ Wuddabitch! Katy Perry was full of beans when she touched down in Japan earlier today, excitedly telling her followers: “I'M SO EXCITED! I'M IN MY FAVORITE PLACE IN THE WORLD! However all that excitement rapidly dissipated when her husband Russell Brand was rudely deported. Yes it seems as though Japanese boarder control weren’t too happy about letting the comedian into their country given his chequered legal past and therefore sent him packing. “So...my husband just got deported from Japan. I am so. sad. I brought him all this way to show him my favorite place ” Katy told her followers. 'It was for priors from over 10 years ago She soon picked herself up off the floor though, telling her followers:‘...But of COURSE I ♥ my Japanese fans & the show must go on no matter the daily aftershocks or husband kidnappings!

Do it yourself pool maintenance If you are maintaining the pool yourself you may be unsure about the chemical balance or how the filtration system works .We are happy to help and advise you on any pool related matter. If you bring a small sample of water from your pool we will test it FREE OF CHARGE and tell you what you need to add to make it safe. Making things easy! If you spend long periods away from your home and don´t employ a pool cleaner an excellent way of maintaining a healthy pool is to fit a Salt water chlorinator & PH regulator The 2 machines are fitted to work in conjunction with your existing filtration system – so will be situated in your pump room. Both machines are fairly small so not too much room is needed. Salt water chlorinator

Chlorine is made from salt but this method means that the pool does not smell of chlorine, and it is far more pleasant to swim in. It is especially good for people suffering from skin complaints and is only slightly salty When you initially fit the machine you will also have to add a specified amount of salt and a stabilising product. The machine will tell you when to add more salt which won´t be too often unless you are backwashing a lot or the pool has a leak. PH dosifiers Unless the PH balance is correct all sorts of problems will occur. If you have a salt water chlorinator and the PH level is not right the Salt water chlorinator will calcify and you will have to spend time and money getting it cleaned as it will not work efficiently . The type of acid you use with PH dosifier is called Aminor PH – L you cannot use the normal pool acid as this is too strong and will harm the machine. SPECIAL OFFERS AVAILABLE AT SPLASH We will need to know the size of your pool to calculate the amount of Salt and stabiliser you will need.

TICKED OFF “ We all welcome the nicer weather that this time of year brings but along with the warmth comes your pets silent enemy ,the tick ( garrapata ) which can transmit serious disease.. These parasites hide out in plants and grasses waiting to be attracted by the movement and warmth of their host – your pet. They then climb on, attach their mouth parts into the skin, typically in crevices or areas with little or no hair such as around the ears , in skin folds and between the toes etc. Once firmly attached they start their “meal”, not detaching until their body is grey and swollen with blood ,this can take several hours or even days depending on the type of tick. Symptoms of most tick borne diseases include a fever and lethargy or even lameness, swollen joints and/or anaemia. or “tick paralysis “. If your pet shows any of these signs of illness veterinary treatment is essential so that correct treatment is started immediately. Check your pet daily and if you find a tick ,use tweezers or a tick removal tool , get as close to the skin as possible and slowly pull the tick straight out without twisting ,trying to be sure the head is not left in the skin. Tick prevention is easily achieved with topical products such as Front-line or a tick collar, all of which are readily available but please make sure you only use a product specifically for a dog or cat, whichever you are treating, as many dog medications are highly toxic to cats. Why make a Spanish Will? The law in Spain relating to inheritance restricts the testator’s freedom to leave their assets to whoever they so wish. A Spanish national must follow the Law of Obligatory Heirs (ie. they are not permitted to distribute their assets as they may wish). As an expat in Spain, if you draw up a Spanish will, you are permitted to distribute your assets as governed by the law in your home country. For British citizens in Spain, this means that our assets are distributed as per our instructions and to whom so ever we may chose.

So, although not obligatory, it is advisable to have a Spanish will for your Spanish assets. Making a Spanish will means that,

in the event of your death, your assets can be distributed immediately, under local law and the lengthy probate process is avoided. Provided that they are not contradictory, you may consider having a will drawn up in each country where you own a property and/or have considerable assets. Making a Spanish will need not be a costly process. The act of making a Spanish will is a small investment that will save both time, money and un necessary complications in the long run. If you would like a no obligation quote, please contact us on: 952 48 68 06 or email info@ccbspain.com. For further information visit our website www.ccbspain.com The next step is to decide what type of will to draw up ...

The European or Mediterranean black widow spider Latrodectus tredecimguttatus can pack a very nasty bite, the venom can produce convulsions, headaches, fever, nausea, vomiting even temporary blindness and a lowering of body temperature. Although the bite is rarely fatal to humans it can be dangerous to the very young, elderly or those with weak hearts.

Latrodectus is a genus of spider, in the family Theridiidae, that contains 31 recognized species. The common name widow spiders is sometimes applied to members of the genus due to the habit of the female of eating the male after mating, although sometimes the males of some species are not eaten after mating, and can go on to fertilize other females. The black widow spiders are perhaps the best-known members of the genus. The injection of neurotoxic venom latrotoxin from these species is a comparatively dangerous spider bite, resulting in the condition latrodectism, named for the genus. The female black widow's bite is particularly harmful to humans because of its unusually large venom glands. The European Black Widow Spider can be found in Spain, Corsica and elsewhere along the Mediterranean. This black widow spider has a shiny black body, the juveniles and adult males of the species are characterised by the 13 spots which mark their backs. In the male spider the spots are a creamy white colour while the young females have red (sometimes yellow to orange) markings. Adult females are all black in colour. Description Not all adult female black widows exhibit the red hourglass on their abdomen—some may have a pair of red spots or have no marking at all, but any markings that are present are bright red.

Adult male black widows are a quarter the size of the female, and are usually Gray or brown rather than black and red; while they may sometimes have an hourglass marking on their abdomen, it is usually yellow or white, not red. The bite of a male black widow is not considered dangerous to humans; it is the bite of the adult female black widow from her much larger venom sacs that has given this spider its dangerous reputation. While there is great variation in specifics by species and by gender, any spider exhibiting a red hourglass on the abdomen and having a shiny black body is an adult female black widow. Spiders of the genus Steatoda (also of the Theridiidae family) are often mistaken for widow spiders, and are known as "false widow spiders"; they are significantly less harmful to humans. In common with other members of the Theridiidae family, the widow spiders construct a web of irregular, tangled, sticky silken fibres. The spider very frequently hangs upside down near the centre of its web and waits for insects to blunder in and get stuck. Then, before the insect can extricate itself, the spider rushes over to bite it and wrap it in silk. If the spider perceives a threat, it will quickly let itself down to the ground on a safety line of silk. As other web-weavers, these spiders have very poor eyesight and depend on vibrations reaching them through their webs to find trapped prey or warn them of larger threats. While there are some more aggressive species, most are not; many injuries to humans are due to defensive bites delivered when a spider gets unintentionally squeezed or pinched. Some bites are thought to result from a spider mistaking a finger thrust into its web for its normal prey, or in cases where a female is protecting an egg sac, but ordinarily intrusion by any large creature will cause these spiders to flee. The female spider is quite large between 10-15mm across while males are much smaller often less than half the size of the female. Fortunately these spiders seldom venture indoors preferring grassy areas and in particular hot dry areas such as coastal dunes. They tend to build their webs close to the ground especially in abandoned rodent holes and underneath rocks and logs. Treatment If bitten on the hand or arm, keep it below heart level, immobilise the patient and seek medical help

Hi World…I am still waiting for spring to actually kick in and get everything into warm weather mode - the one place that is definitely warming up is the Heartfm studios with the Boland Show and all his controversial guests which is now a regular feature on our schedule. The all new Heart fm Breakfast club is the way to start your day; Pete gets you up with a smile no mater what the weather is doing outside. Have you got your request in yet for the Big Als Coffee and Classics section… if you listen at work then it's a must to get your business mentioned. Live music really seems to be taking quite a beating at the time of writing this article with many Bars both inland and Costal loosing their licences'. It seems rather strange that an area so famed for its fiestas and parties should seem to be clamping down on live music. There a number of really excellent bands of all nationalities who are already struggling to find venues to play. A number of people are attempting to change town hall thinking and petitions are appearing on Facebook - I for one wish them well. On to new music………. I was very privileged to be invited to Gilbert O Sullivan's holiday home just outside Marbella for a chat with him about his new album Gilbertville. The album is absolutely excellent and in my opinion, is not only typical of his writing style, but also includes some slightly harder edged tracks like Murder which really does have quite a powerful message. The “Tea Song”, which I have on good authority will be the next single, is quite brilliant with the great humour that Gilbert puts into his songs. I asked him about his career and the image he had as a singer songwriter, he explained the cloth cap and braces were all his idea which caused a few problems early on as both management and record companies didn't “get it”

When he finally made the trans - Atlantic crossing the image was modified with the now, equally famous sleeve-less jumper and plus fours, which was viewed as good old British quirkiness. Gilbert will be putting together a full tour this summer which might just take in Spain - watch this space Ever heard of David Garret, no well he is a rather amazing Violinist with an album which has been around for a couple of months now, but well worth sampling, its called “Rock Classics”. The Album is an eclectic mix of both traditional and rock classics from Metallica to Led Zeplin with a touch of Status Quo for good measure. The tracks are performed with full orchestra as well as a some fantastic rock musicians not least of which is Australian female guitarist Orianthi. The only way to enjoy this album is on a very loud system, however you may get some strange looks of the kids if you go cruising with the window down and car stereo up full blast O.K. Take Care and I'll see you in the pool (maybe) next month Lee 96.1 & 88.5 Heart fm Spain

Turkey Sebastian Vettel’s drive to victory in Istanbul was near faultless, and with team mate Mark Webber backing him up in second, it was another ‘maximum’ weekend for Red Bull. The real news, however, was behind them. Practice and qualifying had suggested Mercedes were the team set to take over from McLaren as the blue cars’ biggest threat. Come the race, however, and it was Fernando Alonso and Ferrari who emerged to pick up that mantle. Vettel had a pluperfect race without any problems, running at the front and opening a crucial advantage early on as fast-starting Rosberg held back Webber and Alonso. Thereafter he and Red Bull gauged their strategy and helped their man to win his 3rd race of the season. Webber lost ground starting on the dirty side of the grid, Using the set of new tyres he’d harvested by doing only one qualifying run,the Australian was able to turn the tables later on. A Red Bull 1-2 was a marked contrast to last year’s result here… While Alonso had a great race and ran 2nd, Massa had an awful time which kept him to 11th. Hamilton’s race came unstuck when he ran wide in Turn 3 fighting Webber for 3rd place on the opening lap, and then an ensuing battle with Button, which obliged McLaren to switch him to ‘Plan B’. With this he salvaged 4th place. Button stuck with 3 stops, which he later felt was a mistake. Mercedes started with high hopes after qualifying, and when Roberg jumped into 2nd at the start. But he soon faded. Later he was able to fight back against Button, to salvage 5th. Schumacher admitted that a 2nd-lap brush with Petrov ruined his own race. Buemi was in the hunt for points all afternoon, and was unlucky when the Renaults ganged up on him and pushed him to 9th in the closing laps when he could barely hold the wheel because of serious tyre vibrations. Alguersuari had a great fight with Massa and Schumacher, but had to switch from a 3- to a 4-stop strategy because of serious rear tyre degradation and resultant oversteer. Kobayashi drove superbly from the back of the grid to 10th on a 3-stop strategy, but might well have finished 7th but for a puncture incurred in a brush with Buemi. Spain Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya had a reputation for serving up less-than-exciting Spanish Grands Prix. All that changed, in a race that proved just how effective the 2011 regulation changes have been in spicing up the F1 spectacle. Red Bull were expected to walk it, but in the end were forced to fight all the way. Over 66 laps we saw constant strategy changes as teams reacted to the competition, compelling drivers throughout the field to make aggressive passing manoeuvres in order to make those strategies work Red Bull got a major surprise at the start when Webber was so busy keeping an eye on a challenging Vettel to his left that Alonso was able to dive down the inside to snatch the lead into the first corner. Vettel also got Webber there, and that sealed the Australian’s fate. Vettel took the lead from Alonso after the second pit stop, but then came under massive pressure from Hamilton which he withstood superbly despite an intermittent problem with his KERS. His fourth win from five 2011 races was the closest yet, by only six-tenths of a second. Webber got stuck behind Alonso for a very long time, which enabled a delayed Button to catch and pass the Red Bull, and subsequently Webber’s counter-attack soon faded. Hamilton drove a storming race and set fastest lap as he took the fight to Vettel all the way through to the finish, when he ended up only six-tenths adrift but quite unable to launch an overtaking attempt. He thought his McLaren was faster than the Red Bull in some places, but that ultimately the RB7 simply had too much downforce in the first, third and 16th turns. Button made an appalling start and spent much of the early going fighting back from 10th to fifth. McLaren did the right thing by switching him to a three-stop strategy as opposed to Hamilton’s four, and when Alonso and Webber were running hard tyres he was able to use his softs to pass both in a single lap. That deservedly won him the final podium slot, giving McLaren another healthy points score.

The sharing of marriage... The old man placed an order for one hamburger, French fries and a drink. He unwrapped the plain hamburger and carefully cut it in half, placing one half in front of his wife. He then carefully counted out the French fries, dividing them into two piles and neatly placed one pile in front of his wife. He took a sip of the drink, his wife took a sip and then set the cup down between them . As he began to eat his few bites of hamburger, the people around them were looking over and whispering. Obviously they were thinking, 'That poor old couple - all they can afford is one meal for the two of them.' As the man began to eat his fries a young man came to the table and politely offered to buy another meal for the old couple. The old

man said, they were just fine - they were used to sharing everything People closer to the table noticed the little old lady hadn't eaten a bite. She sat there watching her husband eat and occasionally taking turns sipping the drink. Again, the young man came over and begged them to let him buy another meal for them. This time the old woman said 'No, thank you, we are used to sharing everything.' Finally, as the old man finished and was wiping his face neatly with the napkin, the young man again came over to the little old lady who had yet to eat a single bite of food and asked 'What is it you are waiting for?' She answered -'THE TEETH.'

The Blonde and the cow A blonde city girl named Jennifer marries an Idaho rancher. One morning, on his way out to check on the cows, the rancher says to Jennifer, 'The insemination man is coming over to impregnate one of our cows today, so I drove a nail into the 2 by 4 just above where the cow's stall is in the barn. Please show him where the cow is when he gets here, OK?' The rancher leaves for the fields. After a while, the artificial insemination man arrives and knocks on the front door. Jennifer takes him down to the barn. They walk along the row of cows and when Jennifer sees the nail, she tells him, 'This is the one right here.' The man, assuming he is dealing with an air head blonde, asks, 'Tell me lady, 'cause I'm dying to know; how would YOU know that this is the right cow to be bred?' 'That's simple," she said. "By the nail that's over its stall,' she explains very confidently. Laughing rudely at her, the man says, 'And what, pray tell, is the nail for?'

The blonde turns to walk away and says sweetly over her shoulder, 'I guess it's to hang your pants on.' Bin laden is dead There was shock in Pakistan at the news of his demise. Everyone knows that you don't take bins out on a Bank Holiday. Married bliss Woman is sitting on the veranda with her husband. She says, "I love you." He asks, "Is that you or the wine talking?"
