PORCELAIN PHONE COMING SOON FROM NOKIA: The United Nations says more people have cell phones than toilets. About 6 billion of the planet's population of 7 billion have mobile phones, but only about 4.5 billion have access to basic s a n i t a t i o n . The biggest culprit appears to be India. Of its 1.2 billion citizens, about half have a mobile phone, but only about a third has a working toilet. (RC/Time) ...And of the 6 billion mobile subscribers, at least 2/3 have said at some point their phone service is crap. SAVE THE BABY: Candice Salvatore, 27, called 911 to report an abandoned baby in Staten Island, N.Y. "It was abandoned in the alley," she said. "It
was starving to death." When police arrived, they discovered that she'd left out one key detail. "I didn't tell her it was a human baby. I just said it was a baby," Salvatore said. According to the police report, Salvatore "created substantial risk of serious injury to [the officer] responding to [the] scene" by causing him to respond at full speed for an abandoned puppy. Salvatore said she had initially called 311 to report the puppy, but they hung up on her. Then she says she called the police and they hung up, so she then decided to call 911. Nicholas Sbordone, a spokesman for the city's 311 non-emergency system, says the operator never hung up, but transferred the call to Animal Care and Control. That department, however, has no record of receiving a call from Salvatore. She has been charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and third-degree falsely reporting an incident. (MS/Staten Island Advance) ...Lack of caring on the city's part does not constitute an emergency on your part. LARGO — Close shave Fire engines and an ambulance rushed to a quiet residential street Wednesday after a man called 911 to report an explosion. Emergency responders found the man waiting outside a home on Sixth Avenue NE. He had a red gash under one eye and white liquid on his shirt. The liquid, he told them, was shaving cream. The unidentified man, about 50 years old, just wanted a hot shave Wednesday morning, said Largo Fire Division Chief Dave Mixson. So he heated his can of shaving cream on the kitchen stove. The can blew up, hurling aluminum shards at his face. "Not a good idea, in my estimation," Mixson said. The man's injuries appeared to be minor, Mixson said, but he was taken by ambulance to Largo Medical Center for closer inspection. There was no damage to the house. It isn't advisable to heat metal cans, Mixson said. Want a hot shave without a trip to the emergency room? Try visiting a responsible barber. Or purchase a heated shaving cream dispenser, available at Walmart for $65.
By David Deverson Travel Insurance correspondent. Globelink International. Email your travel insurance questions to: david@globelink.co.uk Don’t be caught out by non-disclosure Europe’s economic woes haven’t dented our appetite for travel. If anything, we’re intent on getting the most out of our much-needed getaways, and on the lookout for bargains.
There are certainly some excellent deals to be had, as operators and destinations compete for our custom. Meanwhile, more people are turning to short breaks as a way of getting a travel ‘fix’ while spreading the budget. If you’re one of them, taking out an Annual Multi Trip policy with Globelink Travel Insurance makes obvious savings sense. But there’s one thing you shouldn’t be economical about, and that’s what you tell your insurer regarding your medical history. Every year, a significant number of Brits head abroad with a travel policy that’s invalid even before
they reach the check-in desk. They’re the people who, through naivety or misplaced guile, don’t come clean about pre-existing health facts that may affect the terms of their insurance. Every year, some of them find themselves left without adequate travel cover, as the condition they kept mum about suddenly flares up and requires medical attention. No point in hoping the insurance claims investigators won’t cotton on to the facts. They always do - that’s their job!
Being coy about material medical details could end up costing you a great deal. Need to cut your holiday short due to ill health? There goes around £750 on average. Add the cost of medical expenses while abroad, and you could be looking at more than twice that sum, depending on where in the world you are. If your condition warrants your flying home with a medical escort, expect to run up an average bill of around £4000 in Europe - and that’s flying economy-class. As for repatriation by air ambulance from the US or Australia, typical costs run into tens of thousands.... Not the kind of holiday ‘splurge’ most people budget for.
As of April this year, a new UK consumer law should make it harder for travellers to invalidate
their travel insurance by inadvertently failing to disclose important facts relating to their health. That can only be a good thing, since it should help to cut down claims disputes. But the flip-side is that the law does expect you to fill out the online form honestly and accurately when applying for, or renewing your travel insurance. A “little white lie” could leave you without proper cover precisely when you need it most.
Non-disclosure makes even less sense when your condition might actually be eligible for automatic coverage. At Globelink Travel Insurance, our policies embrace a large number of pre-existing conditions - including diabetes, high blood pressure and asthma, provided you have no related complications. If in doubt, contact us; we’re here to help. For an instant quote and to arrange cover securely online, enabling you to print your policy documents immediately, by visiting www. globelink..co.uk – the leading Travel Insurer for people living in EU Countries.Or you can telephone Globelink on 00 44 1353 699082 or their Spanish links line on 966 265 000 or 951 242 434.
Malta Currency: Euro Population: 452,515 Area: 316 km2 Capital: Valletta Official languages: Maltese, English (official)
Malta officially the Republic of Malta, is a southern European country consisting of a group of Islands situated in the centre of the Mediterranean, 80 km south of Sicily, Malta covers just over 316 km2 (122 sq mi) in land area, making it one of the world's smallest states. It is also one of the most densely populated countries worldwide. Throughout history, Malta's location has given it great strategic importance, and a succession of powers including the Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Aragonese, Habsburg Spain, Knights of St John, French and the British ruled the islands. Malta gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1964 and became a republic in 1974.
Malta was admitted to the United Nations in 1964 and to the European Union in 2004. Malta is internationally renowned as a tourist destination, with numerous recreational areas and historical monuments, including nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites, most prominently the Megalithic Temples which are some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world. The origin of the name Malta is uncertain, and the modern-day variation derives from the Maltese language. The most common idea is that the word Malta derives from the Greek word (meli), "honey". The Greeks called the island (Melitē) meaning "honey-sweet", possibly due to Malta's unique production of honey; an endemic species of bee lives on the island, giving it the popular nickname the "land of honey". Prehistory Pottery found by archaeologists at Skorba resembles that found in Italy, and suggests that the Maltese islands were first settled in 5200 BC mainly by stone age hunters or farmers who had arrived from the larger island of Sicily. Prehistoric farming settlements dating to Early Neolithic period were discovered in open areas and also in caves, such as Għar Dalam.
The Sicani were the only tribe known to have inhabited the island at this time. Pottery from the Għar Dalam phase is similar to pottery found in, Sicily. A culture of megalithic temple builders then either supplanted or arose from this early period. During 3500 BC, these people built some of the oldest existing, free-standing structures in the world in the form of the megalithic Ġgantija temples on Gozo; other early temples include those at Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra. Animal bones and a knife found behind a removable altar stone suggest that temple rituals included animal sacrifice. It is thought that the sacrifices were made to the goddess of fertility, whose statue is now in the National Museum of Archaeology in Valletta. The culture apparently disappeared from the Maltese
Islands around 2500 BC. Archaeologists speculate that the temple builders fell victim to famine or disease. Others have speculated on the links between this event and Plato's account of the disappearance of Atlantis. Another interesting archaeological feature of the Maltese islands often attributed to these ancient builders, are equidistant uniform grooves dubbed "cart tracks" or "cart ruts" which can be found in several locations throughout the islands with the most prominent being those found in an area of Malta named "Clapham Junction". These may have been caused by woodenwheeled carts eroding soft limestone. After 2500 BC, the Maltese Islands were depopulated for several decades until the arrival of a new influx of Bronze Age immigrants, a culture that cremated its dead and introduced smaller megalithic structures called dolmens to Malta. The Talk of the Tyne We had been looking for a place to get a full English breakfast on our way to the dive centre in Torremolinos. We had seen the advert for breakfast in the Sentinella magazine and noticed that it was quite near so an ideal place to start our day. The choice was excellent a pick n mix so you have exactly what you want to eat how you want it The standard of food was excellent the lady called her self mama ju short for Julie. After having our fill, with extra Tea we were ready for the off. It was decided that this was so good that we had to return on another day to try some of the other food on offer. I had eyed the fact that Liver and onions was on the menu for only 5€, I had not had this for years, the decision was going to be hard having to choose from a roast pork meal with mash and 2 veg or the Lasagne with garlic bread
and salad or what about the Fish chips and mushy peas but with proper cod for only a fiver. an impossible choice. Taking a closer look at the food on offer the Sunday roast stood out with a large dinner of Pork, Beef or chicken with Yorkies, 5 veg and as many roasties as you can handle all for 8€ thats surely too good to pass up. But some of the others were steak boy’s and the 2, 8 oz sirloin steak deal with onion rings, Mushrooms and chips with a bottle of wine, dessert and tea or coffee for just 25€ had them thinking what a great place to bring the girlfriend and enjoy such a treat. The good thing is as well you can still catch the sport on the large tv screen while keeping your girlfriend happy with a meal for two without breaking the bank. I am reallly glad that I pick up the Sentinella Magazine each month it has helped me find places like the talk of the tyne.. David H,

Now that summer is finally here, it´s time to get organised to entertain. Is it your turn to be the hostess , but you dread the thought of all work involved……… Would you like someone to take away all stress and do everything for you, from menu planning, cooking and even the washing up? Give us a ring on 677838830, and let us help. We can devise a bespoke menu to suit your wishes and budget and can even arrange entertainment. This curry recipe is perfect for sharing, and can be prepared in advance, leaving plenty of time to enjoy time with your guests. This mild Indian-style dish is spicy rather than hot and relatively low-fat. Marinate the chicken for longer for more flavour.
Ingredients 4 large skinless chicken fillets, diced 3 tbsp ghee, or sunflower oil 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 large onion, sliced 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped 1x400ml can coconut milk Fresh coriander, chopped Salt and pepper For the marinade 1 green chilli 1 tsp paprika ½ tsp ground turmeric 1½ tbsp ground coriander 1 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ tsp salt and pepper 75ml chicken stock
Preparation method 1. Mix together all the marinade ingredients to give you a smooth paste. You can use a pestle and mortar, or a mini food processor. Stir the chicken pieces in the paste, until all coated. 2. Leave to marinate for around 30 minutes to 1 hour, to allow the flavours to infuse into the chicken. 3. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan and add the mustard seeds. When they start to pop and jump about in the pan, add the onion and garlic. Cook until they're golden brown before adding the chicken and any extra paste from the marinade. Fry over a very gentle heat for about 8 minutes, taking care not to burn the paste. Add the lemon juice to bring out the flavour of the spices, and then add the coconut milk. Increase the heat slightly and bring to a simmer. Cook for a further 10-12 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly before seasoning with salt and pepper . 4. Serve with rice or warm naan bread.

This is still a real farming community where laptops and mobile phones seem as alien as E.T! Alfarnatejo is situated on The Route Of Olive Oil and Mountains. The natives are called AlfarnateĂąos and the town´s nickname is Palancos! Alfarnatejo is 50 kms from Malaga and 42 kms from the coast at Torre del Mar. The easiest route is to take the road between Rio Gordo and Periana and then turn left just before Mondron, driving through PulgarĂn and up towards the fresh, clean mountain air at an altitude of 858 metres, where eagles and hawks fly circles in the sky beneath the so called Pyrenees of the south! The scenery is stunning and dramatic as the lower green mountains appear insignificant against the majestic Mount Chamizo and El Gallo both a mere 1.637 metres high! As remote as these mountains seem mans presence has been here since the Neolithic era with archaeological remains found in the Sabar river gorges and the caves of Chamizo Morronquera in the Tajos de Vilo where Paleolithic drawings can be seen in the Cortijo de la Cueva. On entering the village one immediately steps back in time to when motorised transport was still unimagined and mules and goats mingled with humans in the flat wide streets.
Nestling below the mountains is the Parque Municipal, Miguel Alba Luque, named after the last Republican mayor of the town. Here you can rest on a bench or exercise on the communal gym equipment.
The 18th century parish church of Santo Cristo de Cabrilla can be found amidst the imple houses, a rectangular structure traditional to the period with its Mudejar style fired red brick tower and two naves separated by semicircular arches. Back to modern times we find cars parked in the village square, a bank, town hall, four tapas bars and a restaurant overlooking the park and mountains. If you visit the village on the first weekend in August you can join in the festivities of its main annual Fiesta of Gazpacho, sample this delicious cold soup and enjoy the Flamenco competition until the wee small hours, stamina permitting!
Kate Middleton has been busy shopping for her baby Kate Middleton has sparked speculation about the sex of her baby after buying a blue buggy. It's been revealed that the mum-to-be, who is expecting her first child in July, told guests at a reception in Aldershot on St Patrick's Day that she'd purchased a Bugaboo pushchair for the little one. ‘She and some of the other girls were talking about prams and one of the girls had her baby in a Bugaboo,' a source tells the Mail Online. ‘Kate said she has bought one in light blue. It was a bit of a hint.' The revelation comes after Kate, 31, was spotted buying a more neutral white Moses basket from Blue Almonds in South Kensington, London. The Duchess was joined by mum Carole Middleton, 58, for the shopping spree, where she purchased the £295 white whicker basket. Despite the hints, Kate and hubby Prince William, 30, claim they don't know the sex of the baby, though Kate's previously admitted that she wants a boy whereas Wills is keen to have a daughter. Victoria Beckham has revealed that her biggest fashion inspirations are very close to home. The designer says many of her designs are inspired by hubby David, 37, and their four kids Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, 8, and Harper Seven, 1. ‘My main line last season was inspired purely from one day when Romeo ran in from school and he was wearing a baseball shirt,' says Victoria, 39. ‘I thought "that looks really cool" so I had a baseball theme running through the collection. ‘Also, the hats were inspired by David and him wearing beanie hats. So I've been inspired from being at home and being a wife and a mother.' Busy Victoria, who says she's a 'control freak in a nice way', admits she feels bad about leaving
‘her family when she's working. ‘Being a working mum you feel guilty every time you go out of the door when you have to work,' the mum-of-four told fashion fans at London's Vogue Festival. I try not to travel too much unless it's during the school holidays as I don't like to leave them. The children are my priority. ‘You feel so torn, don't you? If there's a parents' night or nativity play I plan everything round that so I can always be there.' Jade Goody robbed by HMRC Jeff Brazier: It's unthinkable that the money Jade Goody raised for our boys might be taken by the taxman Jeff Brazier is saddened by the shock revelation that the money left by Jade Goody for their sons could be wiped out. Jeff had two sons - Bobby, 9, and Freddie, 8 with Jade, who passed away aged 27 on Mother's Day 2009 after losing her battle to cervical cancer. The Big Brother star worked tirelessly to raise funds for her boys' futures before her death but the remaining £1 million looks set to be taken by the taxman. ‘The first thing she did [after her diagnosis in 2008] was work out how much it would cost to put the boys through private education until they were 18,' says Jeff, 33. ‘The answer was £260,000. In her last months that was what drove her on, even when she was so weak and in terrible pain. It was all that mattered to her. ‘I think it was a great comfort to her to know that at the end she had managed to raise the money to give them it. To learn that it might be gone is just unthinkable.' HMRC looks set to take £1,035,902 from the trust after ruling that expenses and losses from Jade's beauty salon Ugly's don't qualify for tax relief, it has been reported. But Jeff, who says he doesn't blame the late star for not safeguarding the cash, knows the boys can cope if the funds are lost. ‘The trouble with Jade, as I know only too well, was that she wasn't good at taking advice,' the This Morning presenter tells The Sun. ‘But I'm not angry at her, or the situation. If [the boys] have to move schools then so what? If the money has all been lost then so be it. ‘What greater loss can they have than the one they have suffered already - the loss of their mum?'
Paying Taxes: Proverbs: 26: V26-27 do not be one who shakes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; 27 If you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you. A deep peace washed over me as I entered the house of my father-in-Law, Gerry’s mum Maudie had died the previous evening. Nothing would be the same again, end of an era. Five years on and life was still evolving, our youngest son a lively five year old, our eldest a grown up twenty two and beginning 4 years at Brighton university (Paid for by us). After five years my Father-in-Law was slowly giving up, his business had disintegrated and he had stopped paying his taxes! Disaster loomed dark on the horizon. Gerry was enthusiastic, we would help his father ( We would pay his back Taxes) unfortunately for me Gerry had nothing to do with ‘Household management’ which included budgeting for a family of 7 a large house (with Mortgage) please insert your own imaginations at this point!! And so we (I) began to send money we could not afford to the Tax office! A wave of joy swept over me as I entered my friends house, excited chatter hung heavy in the air as everyone anticipated our weekly ‘Ladies Prayer meeting’ The smell of Kenco coffee wafted from the kitchen area as I grabbed a cup and settled down in Lydia’s cosy conservatory; a shaft of light caught the glass paper weight holding down our weekly Bible Notes as a beautiful rainbow arched across the floor. “We begin today with ‘Proverbs 22’ “said our leader, a soft rustle ensued as we all flicked the pages of our Bibles to the appointed page. I burst into tears, we had reached verse 26! Out poured the whole sad story, the ladies were sympathetic but firm, you should not make yourself responsible for somebody else’s debt. I argued my case (after all this was ‘family’) not one lady backed down this was God’s word our manual for correct living, guidance for everyday life, the ladies prayed fervently for me. Later that week the phone rang! It was the Tax office, where was my monthly payment? I burst into tears. Desperately I tried to compose my- self, finally a very kind man asked me to explain the situation which I did then ended the conversation. Later that same day another call from the Tax Office; “Don’t worry Madame”, a kind voice said, “Your debts have been written off”. Listen to what
Jesus said concerning paying his and Peter’s Taxes. Matthew: 17: V 27......... “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.” I hear you sigh!! Please don’t scoff, God did a Miracle for me that day, and God has no favourites; if you are desperate or in need cry out to Jesus Christ, he will help you too.

Age care on TV Mijas 340 TV - Wednesday, 17th April 2013 Age Care President, Tony Bellamy and Advice Centre Manager, Claudia D. Langer were interviewed by Karen McMahon of Mijas TV 340. Their mission was to inform the viewers of the urgent need for volunteers. Age Care is a registered charity entirely run by volunteers whose aim is to help the local older English speaking community on the Costa del Sol from Benalmadena to Marbella. Age Care has three types of volunteers: those who help in the Charity’s Shop in El Zoco from 10 am to 4 pm once a week, welfare volunteers who visit clients in their homes, take clients to coffee mornings or shopping, or to attend hospital and doctor appointments – obviously welfare volunteers should have their own transport. Then for the Advice Centre, Age Care is looking for a special type of volunteer who can give their time, once a week from 10 am to 2 pm to offer information to the local older English speaking community. The Advice Centre volunteers must be English/Spanish speaking and have administrative & computer skills. Particularly important is that they should have been living in Spain for a while and be familiar with the bureaucracy which can be confusing! If you are interested in giving your time to help the local older English speaking community, please contact Beverley Morland, Vice President, on 675 874 308 email: info@agecarecosta.org, or pop into the Age Care Charity Shop in El Zoco, Calahonda – and pick up a bargain too!
Shockwaves ( ESWT – Extracorpal Shock Wave Therapy ) and Pressure waves ( RPWT – Radial Pressure wave therapy ) are two acoustical forms of energy produced in sophisticated instruments used in the treatment of medical conditions. Shockwaves are focused high energy waves with deep penetration options and Pressure waves are radiating low energy waves with shallow surface penetration. These waves exhibit very different physical properties and have different effects on the tissue of the body. ESWT has proven to affect the cells of the treated tissues down to a depth of 80 – 100mm ( and more with special applicator devices )in positive ways causing an increase in the metabolic rate of the cells enhancing the healing properties of the damaged cells. Science has proven that neovascularisation ( repair and formation of blood capillaries ) occurs in the tissue exposed to ESWT as well as analgesic and anti- inflammatory effects.
EPAT has proven to have a positive effect primarily in muscle tissues down to a depth of approximately 35 mm. Its analgesic and antiinflammatory effects are still under scientific investigation The Background During the 1960'S the German company Dornier used focussed shockwaves to fragment calcium deposits in body tissue. In 1980 the first Lithotripsy ( fragmentation of kidney stones ) was performed. Since then scientists and clinical researchers have developed treatment protocols for many diverse medical conditions. The treatments After a thorough assessment, the treatment is administered in the target area at varying depths and intensity depending on the nature of the damaged cells. The effects during the treatment are experienced in different ways by the patient and there are no side effects. Most often the patient feels a vast improvement by increased motion of a treated joint and a decrease in the pain level. After the first treatment the patient is advised to drink more water than normal to help dilute the metabolic waste produced by the treatment. Advice is then given for rehabilitation exercises to help further improve the condition at home
Selling your Spanish property By De Cotta Law When you are selling property in Spain it is important to get independent legal advice. There are important obligations on the seller and you should be aware of these. The tax authorities are now much more vigilant and you will not want to be looking over your shoulder once you have sold the property. It is particularly important to ensure that your funds can be transferred back to the UK or elsewhere having completed all the necessary documentation on leaving. Leaving Spain At the moment a number of people are returning to their country of origin and some of these people have been tax resident in Spain. A Certificate of Fiscal residence will be required if you have been here for some time and this must be obtained prior to the sale. The notary will not accept that you have been tax resident here without this document and you would therefore be subject to a 3% retention on the sale price. This 3% is taken on account from non residents and any additional Capital gains tax should be paid.
Tax Resident A Spanish lawyer can calculate the sum you will receive on the day and ensure that you are not left with any ongoing liabilities after the sale. If you surrender your Spanish tax residence to take up tax residence in the UK for example it is very important to notify the tax authorities correctly. If you fail to do so fines could accrue without your knowledge and affect bank accounts or other assets. There is also now an obligation to inform the police if you surrender your residential status. You may for example move back to become tax resident in the UK but still have property here. If you have not provided forwarding address even old traffic or speeding fines can suddenly pop up in your bank account in Spain so it does pay to ensure that you have the right information about selling property and surrendering your residential status.
Professional Advice Prevention is always better than cure and it is best to get advice from experienced property lawyers and accountants particularly when you are selling property. If you keep the property you owned in Spain but return to the UK you should also ensure that you have looked at the inheritance tax issue as at present non-residents are paying fairly high levels of inheritance tax on Spanish property. Andalusian tax residents can take advantage of some tax exemptions so individual advice and calculations are important when deciding on your next steps. And apart from Easter time, AndalucĂa also has better weather‌.. Newcastle Icicle 2013 Darwin Award Nominee Investigative journalism reaches a new "low" when a reporter freezes to death while getting an inside look at the lives of those who sleep rough... (31 March 2013, Newcastle, England) The UK homeless population's numbers are difficult to gauge; the website Crisis.co.uk sets a low estimate at 2,300 homeless people per night. Intending to advance his career, investigative journalist Lee Halpin, 26, decided to acquire background in the problem by pretending to be homeless. He borrowed a sleeping bag and, waving aside the concerns of friends and family, he set off into the streets alone. "I will sleep rough, scrounge for my food, interact with as many homeless people as possible, and immerse myself in that lifestyle as deeply as I can," said the journalist--three days before freezing to
death in a boarded up hostel. Hypothermia is suspected and autopsy results are pending; meanwhile, two homeless men have been arrested on possibly-related drug charges.
Death by: DJ 2007 Jennifer Strange was a contestant in Sacramento radio KDND’s "Hold Your Wee for a Wii” contest, put on by the three dip-sh*t DJs of the "Morning Rave." Strange and others first drank lots of water (you writing this down, Seop?) and the winner of the Wii was the person who could hold their bladder the longest.
Strange can be heard on-air complaining of a severe headache, which the DJs discount as normal. One of them even muses aloud, “Can’t you get like, water poisoning and die?” Strange lost the contest and went home, where she lost her battle with water (hyperhydration).
It is hard to blame the Sacramento District Attorney, who declined to file charges against the DJs because Strange “was an adult who was voluntarily participating in the radio contest. She knew what the contest involved… and had the option to stop or discontinue her participation at any time."
Are you living comfortably? Then I'll begin....
Most of us from Northern Europe come here for the benefits of the year roundsunshine and because of this we want our homes to let in as much light aspossible and not have to be stuck behind shutters and blinds. However we thenexperience fading of furnishings, suffer the dis-comfort of excessive heat and glare in the room which we then try to combat with air conditioning and so drivethe running costs through the roof! Well there is a long term fix; Solar Control Window Film - supplied and fitted by us at Solar Shade to glass curtains, glazed balconies, picture windows conservatories, cars, yachts, really where there's glass that's where we stick it!
What does Solar Control film do? As it sounds, it controls the suns heat entering the room through the glazing and therefore making it a comfortable temperature reducing 40+ Celsius to 25-27 Celsius which then allows the air conditioning to run on economy thus saving money, but, keeping that all important light and view.
The material is bonded internally and some times externally to the glass surface and selects the infra-red part of the spectrum, the heat causing part and reduces it, therefore bringing down the internal room temperature but not the light levels excessively. The other unique part is it will retain winter heat too by insulating the glass and upgrading older single and double glazed windows to current energy standards.
It also provides a safety feature of holding broken glass together in the event of an accident for instance older single glazed glass is made safe especially in areas of constant use by children. It comes in many different colours and shades silver bronze blue green black etc. and once installed is maintenance free. It adds privacy to your home by keeping out prying eyes, practically removes fading by preventing 99% of ultra violet light, and will enhance the look of the building or vehicle.
The Tint film can also be supplied as a Solar blind if you want the flexibility of only seasonal use but the same benefits as already described. Moray eels vary considerably in size depending on species, from the ribbon moray at around 25 cm to the giant moray which can be as much as 4 metres in length. Similarly, skin diversity and colour has as many variations as there are species. You can see morays with skin that is speckled, striped, freckled or tattooed, and coloured in a variety of hues including brown, green, off white, yellow, black and blue. Despite all of these variations it is normally pretty easy to tell when you are looking at a moray eel since their similarities are such that they are not often confused with other marine creatures. Moral eels have a dorsal fin which runs almost the entire length of the body, from the head to the caudal and anal fins, and are made to appear like a snake by their absence of pectoral and pelvic fins. The head of the moray eel is large with small eyes located quite far forward, and a wide mouth with large teeth for tearing flesh rather than grinding or holding in place. They have a secondary set or toothed jaws in their throat called pharyngeal jaws, which are thrust forward to grab and drag prey down through their digestive system. They are the only known creature to use pharyngeal jaws to grab and hold prey. There are more than 100 species of moray eel, Moray eels secrete a mucus over their smooth skins in greater quantities than other eels, allowing them to swim fast around the reef without fear of abrasion. Also sand-dwelling morays can make their burrow stronger and permanent, as granules adhere with the mucus and attach to the sides of the burrows. There are often parasites on the surface of the moray eel's skin making them popular with cleaner shrimp and cleaner wrasses. Due to the small size of the gills, morays have to continuously open and close their mouths in
a gaping fashion to maintain a flow of water and facilitate respiration. This is often mistaken as aggressive posturing and is part of the reason for the moray eel's fearsome reputation. Feeding Habits Their diet consists mainly of fish, cephalopods, mollusks and crustaceans. They go hunting mostly at night and their chief hunting tool is their excellent sense of smell which makes up for their poor eyesight. This means that weakened or dead creatures are easy to detect and are therefore the moray eel's favoured food. They hide in their crevices waiting until their prey is close enough, and then they launch themselves from the burrow and clasp the prey with their powerful jaws. Reproduction Hermaproditism is common in morays, some being sequential (they are male, later becoming female) and others are synchronous (having both male and female organs) and can reproduce with either sex. Courtship among compatible morays begins when water temperatures reach their highest, and they begin sexual posturing in the form of gaping widely. Then the morays will wrap each others' bodies together, either as a couple or 2 males and a female. They simultaneously release sperm and eggs in the act of fertilisation, which ends their relationship. Life Cycle On hatching, the eggs take the form of leptocephalus larvae, which look like thin leafshaped objects, that float in the open ocean for around 8 months. Then they swim down as elvers to begin life on the reef and eventually become a moray eel, living between 6 and 36 years depending on species. They have very few predators, only large groupers and barracudas which explains why they have the confidence to live in burrows or crevices in the reef from which swift flight maybe difficult. Distribution and Habitat Morays are found worldwide in tropical and temperate seas, particularly in relatively shallow water among reefs and rocks, as well as in estuarine areas.

Stereo grams Turn the page sideways clockwise and look at the image, you should see a 3D Picture? Can’t see it? here’s some tips that might help
The Pullback Get very close to the stereogram, very very slowly pull it away from you. At first you won’t even be able to focus on the image... However keep moving the image in and out relaxing and it will appear. Look at the reflection You’ll need to look at something about twice the distance of the image. It turns out we have exactly what you need , Your reflection.. By looking at your reflection in the page. To help put the image behind glass enough for you to see your reflection.
After looking at your reflection, simply stop focussing on your reflection and try to see the image. Repeat switching your focus from your reflection to the image,,, suddenly you will see it

Right handed or Left handed? a Golf Story A group of 4 guys lived and died for their Saturday morning round of golf together. One was transferred by his firm to another city for work. Things just weren’t the same without his involvement. A new woman joined their Club. She overheard the guys talking about their first golf round without their former participant. She said to them: "You know, I used to play on my golf team in college and I was pretty good. Would you mind if I joined you to make up the foursome next week?" The three guys looked at each other. Not one of them wanted to say 'yes' but she had them on the spot. Finally, one man said it would be okay, but they would be starting early – at 6:30am punctually. He figured the early tee-off time would discourage her. The woman said this may be
a problem, and asked if she could be up to 15 minutes late. They rolled their eyes, but said okay. She smiled and said: "Good, I'll be there at 6:30 or 6:45am next Saturday morning." she showed up at 6:30am sharp and beat all three of them with aneye-opening 2-under par round. She was fun and a pleasant person, and the guys were impressed. Back at the clubhouse, they congratulated her and invited her back the next week. She smiled, and said again: "I'll be there at 6:30 or 6:45am." The next week she again showed up at 6:30am sharp. Only this time, she played left-handed. The three guys were incredulous as she still beat them with an even par round, despite playing with her off-hand. They were totally amazed.
They couldn't figure her out. She was, as usual, very pleasant and didn't seem to be purposely showing them up. They invited her back yet again, but by this time each man harboured a burning desire to beat her. The third week, the guys had their game faces on. But this time, she was 15 minutes late, which made the guys irritable. This week the lady played right-handed, and narrowly beat all three of them. The men mused that her late arrival was due to petty gamesmanship on her part. However, she was so gracious and so complimentary of their strong play, they couldn't hold a grudge. Back in the clubhouse, all three guys were shaking their heads. This woman was a riddle no one could figure out. They had a couple of beers, and finally, one of the men asked her point blank: "How do you decide if you're going to golf right-handed or left-handed?" The lady blushed, and grinned. "That's easy," she said. "When my Dad taught me to play golf, I learned I was ambidextrous. I like to switch back and forth. I got married after college, I discovered my
husband always sleeps in the nude. From then on, I developed a silly habit. Right before I left in the morning for golf practice, I would pull the covers off him. If his you-knowwhat was pointing to the right, I golfed righthanded; if it was pointed to the left, I golfed left-handed." The guys on the team thought this was hysterical. Astonished at this bizarre information, one of the guys shot back: "But what if it's pointing straight up?"She replied with aplomb: "Then, I'm fifteen minutes late." Celibacy Celibacy can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by circumstances. While attending a harmony for couples weekend, Dave and his Partner, Ann, listened to the instructor declare, "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other." He then addressed the men, "Can you name and describe your wife's favourite flower?" Dave leaned over, touched Ann's arm gently, and whispered, "It's Homepride, isn't it?" Thus began Dave's life of celibacy.
