Zemfira could well be the only Russian singer established enough to enjoy the luxury of independence from mass media fads and record labels. All her performances are sold-out and this is truly a rare occurrence in Moscow’s cultural life. Her concerts are always a big hit with the public here and this time there is an extra reason to be excited: two consecutive concerts in Luzhniki cap a months-long tour across Russia and Europe promoting her latest album ‘To Live in Your Head’ (Zhit v Tvoei Golove). 12+

This time Moscow will not host works by the richest British artist – his net worth is estimated at 345 million dollars – such as ‘The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living’, his famous shark in a vitrine full of formaldehyde, or the diamond skull. However, this exhibition showcases the art that inspires Sir Damien Hirst. The art on display is from his vast ‘Murderme’ collection said to be getting its own London gallery next year. The exhibition in the Multimedia Art Museum will feature works by Pablo Picasso (‘Nature morte au crâne et au pot’), Francis Bacon (‘Self Portrait’, ‘Man in Blue II’), Richard Prince (‘Nurse’), Takashi Murakami (‘Little People Inside Me’) and Banksy (‘Laugh now, but one day we’ll be in charge’) all belonging to Hirst. 12+

A Dutch conceptual design studio is proving that a creative idea can turn an ordinary everyday object into a museum artefact. ‘Darwin Chair’ is constructed using a free swinging structure that includes approximately 200 sheets of attached prints which can be read like an album on the history of evolution. Flowers from 17th-century Dutch still lifes have been transformed into three-dimentional petals with the aid of 3D printing technology. A pile of second-hand clothes has been morphed into a giant armchair. A flask filled with oil and a bulb floating inside is reminiscent of a medieval lamp burner. A heap of broken boxes tied with a rope have become an ancient cabinet. 0+
