BLACK HEIFER CALVES Country Lane Angus

52H is a female that follows the consistent pattern that HBH Equate 44E has stamped his daughters with. When analyzing her, you can’t help but admire the overall thickness and fleshing ease she possesses while still maintaining that feminine look. Her docility and disposition has been a dream to work with. Her Mother is one of the many Syndicate daughters maintained in our herd that we are so pleased with. With the combination of these two “CowMaker” Sires, she is sure to be a great producer in her new herd. HBH EQUATE 44E -

Roy Mac Angus This heifer is very unique in her makeup and in her pedigree. She is one of very few 18 million calves in Canada and boasts impressive numbers across the board. We thought enough of the 18 million progeny that we used him again this year. This pride cow family is no stranger to the Form and Function as a maternal sister was sold a couple of years ago to Macnab Angus. The impressive look this female possesses along with her unique pedigree should be intriguing to potential buyers.

Wendy 007 is an end of February heifer that puts a lot of good traits together. She has a refined head, thin neck that ties into a smooth shoulder, big rib cage and stylish hip. Wendy is sound on both ends of her skeleton and we feel she’ll give you the longevity that’s highly desired. Both of our consignments are sired by a son of McKinley (First Class) X Lutton adding show ring value.

We are very excited to bring to you from the heart of our herd a direct daughter of Royal S Pride 42B. She is sired by Colburn Primo and she will be a carbon copy of her full sister TWST Primo’s Pride 42F who had a successful show career and is now moving into the donor pen alongside her mother and sister. TWST Lady Pride 420H, exemplifies the kind of cow we are after. She is very easy fleshing with tremendous muscle expression and will be a front pasture kind of cow. She is super quiet and gentle and would make an excellent junior project. Definitely the type a heifer that a junior can have a lot of fun with. > Be sure to stop by and check her out sale day.

We are very pleased with the Musgrave Sky High daughters we have in production. They are feminine and absolutely ideal in terms of udder design and milk flow. We have two full siblings to this lovely lady and they are stunning. This direct daughter of our prolific 239P donor is no different, she has the eye appeal to catch your attention and the soundness to keep it. We have many maternal siblings to her that have left a lasting impact in our program. A Maternal brother, Pedersen Confidence 39C, was a past high seller at $16,500 to Diamond B and Grant Lodge. Have a look here if you want one to hang a halter on, she has the tools! Or take her home and put her in the front pasture, as we are sure that’s where she will belong.

This Crossfire 627E daughter is just plain awesome! She brings to the table everything we had wanted from her sire when we purchased 1/2 interest in him at the MJT Bull Sale in 2019. He adds great dimension and overall mass that we need in the beef industry. His mother is a favourite at MJT and I believe this heifer will become one as well, wherever she may find a new home. She is an eye catcher and has been all summer and fall. She is a very balanced heifer that has a great spring of rib. She boasts that big top and hind quarter that we love to see in the future power house cows. She has a great set of feet and legs just like her sire and dam. Her granddam 31s and her dam131B have been top producers in our herd for many years and have left us several daughters and sons. She has a sweetheart of a disposition as well, so whether she may become a JR. project or an expansion cow family for your herd we are very confident in her capabilities.

Family Ties Angus

WHOA, What’s this I found, Shane picked her out of our heifer calves and selected her for his sale. Last year we were lucky enough to purchase some cows at the Garnier dispersal sale. This girls momma is a Pacesetter/SAV Pioneer and her Daddy is the awesome, highly used Musgrave Sky High 1535. This heifer is a super sweet made, soft fronted and well footed. This heifer is soft sided, with tons of power and class. She will make a great show heifer, a wonderful replacement and one day will be in the donor pen. She is easy moving with lots of hair and muscle. She demands everyone’s presence and when she walks in the pen she easily grabs your attention and doesn’t let it go. Bred very well, comes from great bloodlines and will make a great addition to anyone’s herd. Look at her closely and don’t let slip by you on sale day. Thanks Gus and Yvonne for the chance to purchase your cows and thanks Castlerock for the chance of putting our animals in your sale.

Country Lane Bella 3H is a feature heifer that keeps improving every day. She is a daughter of the two-time Royal Winter Fair angus champion, Mich Wheatland HIcaliber. Bella is sure to impress with her style, length, and hair qualities. Her dam was purchased as a bred and both years she has definitely outdone herself. She is a moderate-framed, functional female with a near picture perfect udder that checks off a lot of the boxes. Juniors make sure to come check her out as she would be fun to show off.

Fisk Cattle Co. Ruby Senta 008 is a female that is very hard to let go, as we feel this young heifer has unlimited potential. She is a complete package that combines eye appeal and broodiness. 008 is one that is nearly flawless in her structure. Starting with the front third she has a beautiful head, thin neck and smooth shoulder. Accompanied by a big rib cage, soft side with a sweep belly carrying it into a deep flank. She’s an athletic and muscular female out of a beautiful young cow we purchased from Brooking Angus Ranch sired by Hoffman Opportunist 4640. Going back to Soo Line Ruby Senta 8511 (Motive) and the sires side being McKinley (First Class) x Lutton to give you the added confidence in this ones future.

When Shane came out it sure didn’t take him long to find this little sweetheart amongst all there was to choose from. 008H boasts real breed character; expressing that wide muzzle, feminine head and smooth front end. She stems from our oldest cow family, her mother has near perfect feet and udder. With Motive as the sire, you are sure she is going to make a front pasture type cow. Shane finds the good ones.

CHOICE LOT KC Stock Farm Juniors and breeders alike will love this pair of heifers, we at KC cannot decide which one to keep so we are leaving it up to the new owner to decide! You buy one and we take one home. These two heifers are big bodied and structurally sound females. They will make cows or great show heifers. Their dams are both two year olds with tons of eye appeal and pasture presence. Maternal greatness makes these two heifers peas in a pod: KC Pride 20H is a granddaughter of the Greenwood Pride 3C, a Bar E-L Pride 18Z X Mohnen South Dakota direct daughter. The dam of KC Adelletta 29F comes from the JNJ Herd we purchased, she goes back to BC Lookout, Anchor 1 Who’s That, a bull that has left some stunning cows.

Both these heifers are sired by the K-Cow Ford 757F our pick of the angus bulls at their sale in 2019, he is a PM Life’s a Dance 59’15 son. Henry Stewart and Nicole Russell Nikki 11H is a very balanced, attractive made heifer in a moderate package. She is a female loaded with true angus character; good footed, nice teat placement, and hairy. Her dam, who is backed by female makers like Freedom 104, LRT, and 8005, is one of our smallest framed cows but still carries a rock solid production record. All of her calves have been daughters and they have all been retained. We felt the added consistency of a bull like Density should go a long way towards eliminating the guesswork. 11H really has the look of a momma cow and its no surprise, she truly is bred to be one!

Penny 14H has been making friends with visitors to the farm all summer long. She has had the “look at me” presence from a very young age. Proud fronted, feminine, deep bodied, super hairy and a puppy dog disposition there is no shortage of things to like about this heifer. This comes as no surprise though as her dam, and the whole Penny cow family, have built a reputation here for consistently raising “the good ones.” This is the only calf we have out of the highly sought after Stunner bull and we thought long and hard before letting her go, however with 2 maternal sisters already in the herd and a few straws left in the tank we felt we could offer this ABSOLUTE STUNNER!

Matlock Stock Farm This ET daughter of 74-51 Sudden Look and EXAR Blackcap has been a standout since birth and a favourite amongst all visitors this summer. Her pedigree speaks for itself when it comes to a maternal combination with the added style and grace to her. Havana is a feminine, long bodied heifer that is structurally sound that stands up on good feet! We feel this sweetheart would be an excellent edition to any herd, she is halter broke, juniors take note, she would be an excellent project and investment!

A Werner Flat Top daughter out of a first calf two year, 2H was an eye catcher since birth with her profile and thickness. Moderate framed, she is long bodied with a square hip, typical of Flat Top daughters. Combined with EXAR Upshot and Final Answer on the maternal side, the maternal potential of 2H is significant considering her two year old dam’s performance. Proven genetics, proven performance, outstanding phenotype.......if you are looking to add to the cowherd with a vision to the future, this female would a great addition to your pastures.

10

Cajun Angus Everyone wants to search out those “no holes” females that are complete in every aspect.......well, stop your search! A larger framed female, 18H is feminine and complete from nose to tail. A Flat Top daughter, she is clean fronted with plenty of top and depth which squares out in a big old butt. Her dam is a CC&7 daughter who has been a stellar producer producing two commercial herdsires and placing two daughters in the herd. Countess 18H combines high calving ease, low birth weight with outstanding performance as evidenced by her actual weights and EPD’s. If indeed you are searching for a “no holes” female, have a long hard look, you will not be disappointed.

CHOICE LOT Matlock Farms Ltd. This sweetheart is set to follow in her dam and maternal sister’s footsteps. When Shane came to select , we said how about selling choice on these two. We look forward to seeing their progress in the years to come. RED HEIFER CALVES Family Ties Angus Here is another one that Shane had to sweet talk Sam into letting go, Sam don’t let many of her fancy Red’s go, but every now and again she can be talked into it. Well, Shane did well getting this one. Here is a beautiful open Red heifer, that has some real neat and old genetics in her. She goes back to Sam’s Prospector bloodlines on the Dam side and back to a Embryo bull who is a Navaho son. This little heifer has show prospect written all over her, shes sweet made, moderate in the front end with lots of power in the backend. She is smooth made, with tons of class. She will make a great Junior show heifer, a fancy replacement heifer or a brood or donor cow. This fancy red heifer will make a great addition to any herd. Have a close look at her on sale day and don’t let her slip by.

One of the first PTO daughters in Canada to sell. We believe we are going to see these Red KJHT Power Take Off calves standout as they begin to surface. Smooth in makeup, with a strong hip the Phenotype in these calves is very consistent. To quote Kevin Blair on PTO, “…ideal skull shape.” – yes that’s a thing! Hanna stands on ample bone, and correctness of makeup. Rising from our long standing Samaria cow family, this heifer is deep in goodness and production. Her mother is a heavy milking, super udder cow with excellent feet, who always brings in calves at the top of the pen. This quiet, calm natured female is the foundation type that could lead a cow family in any herd. RED KJHT POWER TAKE OFF

Here is the best bred we have ever sold, stood at the top of our show pen, until COVID put a slow on show season, even though show season may have been a disappointment with the cancellations this girl sure wasn’t. Big, broody, powerful, and beautiful, this girl has it all. She goes back to tremendous Quantock Mac bull who left us amazing females on the sire side and the great Mulberry bloodline, TNF Zander on the Dam side. With lots of bone and muscle, excellent feet and utter development, she is just that cow that does it all. With all this, YOU ask why we would sell her, as Rob Holowaychuk told us back in the day, “You gotta sell the good ones to put in other breeders hands to last in this industry”. Here is our best Red offering, HECK I’d go so far as to say this is our best ever sale offering. Rather you want a show animal, a brood cow or a donor cow, I think this girl fits all the bills. Add to the top of all these things, she is AI caught to DUFF RED BLOOD for an early January calf. Come have look at her, give me your honest opinion and on sale day, Take her home if she is what excites you. AI April 12th to Duff Red Blood. Tremendous heifer in every way. 934G is easy doing, moderate, and carrying an AI service to Duff Red Blood. He is fresh, highly maternal genetics, with strong feet and legs all wrapped in that deep red colour. Glosa is a deep ribbed heifer standing on super black feet. Her sire, Red Bar-E-L Cadet 1C has been a cornerstone in our program, and his daughters are in production with tight, even udders with small teat size and lots of milk. On the bottom side add in Lazy MC Spyder 149A who confirms the udder type and foot structure and a very productive cow family, and this heifer is a sure thing; and she’s carrying a unique new pedigree in her first calf. Shane always finds the best one and this year is no exception, we are not thrilled to part with this heifer but we are very confident wherever she goes, she will flat out produce. Dark red, excellent black foot, capacity and quiet in disposition she also, like Hanna 23H goes back to our Samaria cow family. Generations of great udders, super feet, and top end production, the Samaria line flat out works every time for us. A Red Bar-E-L Cadet daughter, this heifer will drop a neat, even compact udder with lots of milk. Gypsy 940G is carrying service to Red JJL Authentic 84G, JJL’s high selling bull this past spring, he is a dark red calving ease bull that is one of the softest made, easy fleshing bulls we have ever seen. He has a calm disposition, and you should see his mother…and his grandmother! We are beyond excited to see his first calves. Gypsy 940G will become a top matron wherever she goes and the calf she’s carrying is destined to be special. Pasture exposed to Red JJL Authentic 84G April 25th to July 1st. Where to start with this female…… she starts with a pretty unique pedigree and is sired by our Little Deep son from the Lassie cow we picked up at the KBJ Dispersal, Little Deep was the High Selling Bull at the KBJ Dispersal at $45,000. The set of calves from our Deep bull have impressed us considerably. Oh did I mention the Lassie cow from KBJ which stems back to the full sister to Sam’s Prospector, powerful genetics. The dam to this good bred heifer came from Dennis Ericson and as to be expected has a great udder and feet on her. We showed her this fall at the Lloydminster Stockade and placed 3rd in class. 53G carries service to a neat young bull that come from the Schachtel’s at Eye Hill and will calve like a dream for you.

Movin On Farms A female that has a very sound structure with a lot of overall dimension and volume. When Shane came to look at the females this one caught his eye right away. Her sire sports a long bodied, muscled packaged on a good foot with a flashy appearance to him. He always caught our eye as soon as you walked into the pen. Dam is a sound cow with a lot of dimension and volume as well. I have no doubt in my mind that she will produce just as well as her dam has and will for a long time. Yes you are reading this right a full sister to the breed legend, Red Minburn Copenhagen! Only for the need of Danny wanting to market his Red Angus cows does an opportunity like this appear! Copenhagen and another full sister took Agribition by storm in 2011 at a figure of $67,000 for Copenhagen to U2 Ranch and Heart of the Valley. Copenhagen daughters were a highlight last fall the U2 dispersal bringing some long dollars while Copenhagen semen, while limited in it’s availability has commanded over $300 a straw. 300Y is an absolute mirrored image of what the Copenhagen daughters look like. Sound, good footed, productive cows. Here’s an opportunity to grab a cornerstone female that offers tremendous potential. Open ready to flush Selling ½ half interest and full possession, Minburn retaining an embryo interest with the new buyer being sole owner of the natural calves from 300Y.

Minburn Angus Another outstanding opportunity to get in on these outcross genetics as the natural daughter of 300Y sired by the outcross Red SVR Continental who was a $17,500 private purchase from South View at Agribition a few years back. The set of calves he is leaving at Cockburn, Thistle Ridge, Ole Farm, South View and Minburn has been impressive in their dark red hair, style and a muscle design that is considered ideal! Opportunity is definitely knocking here. Born Feb 9th, 2020 bwt 82lbs.

Minburn Angus As a way of showcasing the Red Angus program at Minburn here is a cow in the prime of her life and yet again carries an outcross pedigree to her. Her dam 41S, was a former donor cow at Minburn and if you know how many cows they flush it says a lot for their faith in the cow and her production abilities. We continue to believe that in order to have success selling females you need to be raising the bar every year. Miss Wix 6G is doing exactly that for us and is the result of holding nothing back at selection time. Her mother is held in high regard here at Roy Mac and her bull calf this year is the lead of bull in our show string. The service this female carries is every bit exciting as any AI bull. We were very impressed with the Bar-E-L program and did everything we could to acquire Iceberg Quest last spring. We think the guesswork is taken out of this beautiful female. When Shane came through this summer selecting for this sale we had this bred marked as hands off. I guess Shane must have been rather convincing and we had a weak moment because here she is. I don’t think we have to say much about what the Natural Law females have to offer. Natural Law is known throughout North America as one of the all time great female producers; in the show ring and in production. He has sired Farmfair and Agribition Supreme Champions and a multitude of high sellers. When a guy chooses to pull a $250 straw of semen out of the tank to AI a female you know she must be worth it and in short that explains 13G’s mother. We also dug into rare semen to mate 13G in HF Syndicate. We may instantly have sellers remorse on letting this female go, but we are always wanting to put our best foot forward. I assure you she is worth the trip to Lloydminster on Dec. 17th. AI’ed to HF Syndicate 213Z on April 10th and exposed to HF Espionage 24D April 23. Waveny Angus Farms A really well made heifer out of the Super Rito bull who is sired by a full brother to Resource, Recharge to name a few out of that successful flush. The bottom side of the pedigree tells a great story as the Geis Kodiak bull was the first Kodiak son purchased out of the Geis bull pen, he did a tremendous job. This heifer is a real brood cow in the making and comes right of the top of our replacement pen. Bid with confidence! Many of you who may have met us at shows, visited our stall or watched us will know Sam’s sister Darby, who works with us and follows us around to all the shows. Darby started raising her own herd a couple years back and has done a wonderful job. Here is Darby’s first offering for a sale animal, Shane fell in love with her when he came and did selections and he was even more pleased with this Bred when we told him it was one of Darby’s animals. Going back to Record Harvest on the sire side and networth on the dam side. This bred heifer is deep and soggy, with lots of muscle and plenty of feminine jazz and beauty. She has a wonderful hair coat, good solid feet and good udder development. She is AI Bred on April 12th to Coleman Bravo. Take a close look at her on sale day and don’t pass her over.

Allandale Angus

A fancy made Prime Cut daughter that stems from one of the most popular cow families from the sale season last fall at U2 and produced many top sellers including the $120,000 109Z cow to M Diamond and Spicklers. The Prime Cut females have settled in and become solid producing females here and we quite like what they get done. The maternal side of this heifer doesn’t take a back seat either with $80,000 Beletta cow, Equation, OCC Legacy and the good Merit Pride cow family. Very solid pedigree from a heifer that will go out and be a good producer down the road. AI Coleman Bravo May 19th Ultrasounded safe to AI Exposed June 1st to Allandale President 7G

Last year we sold a Cruise daughter at the F n F that went to Chittick Farms and Shane pryed another one out of our hands again this year. We don’t have a lot of Cruise females around as he has left us mostly bull calves and they are the first out of the pen every time. The daughters we do have are exactly the kind we like and haven’t been disappointed yet! This fancy bred is sure to make a great cow in the years to come in your herd. Now for the service to Youngdale Zorian 106Z, the resulting calf should be impressive as his calves always are and is why we continue to use the bull via AI. 82Y came to us 10 years ago. This girl is a straight Canadian bred Annie and she hasn’t missed a beat. With only her very first maiden breeding done with natural service, she has settled by AI in the first cycle every year. We have many proven daughters in production from 82Y which all have risen to the top for type, fertility and performance. Our first entry in this sale years ago was AJA Annie 603D, who sold for $5200 to First Line Angus in Ontario. We had one of her daughters on display at the Saskatchewan Angus Association Summer Tour in 2019. With a successful production we thought it would only be fitting to flush her to SAV Renown 3439. Offering 3 #1 embryos with guarantee of one pregnancy if implanted by an accredited vet.
