Welcome
We proudly present our “Part of the Program” female offering! For over 80 years the Easton family has been breeding registered Angus seedstock in the Moose Mountains! Over the years the continued efforts to put forward a product that will satisfy our goals but most importantly our customers! Our path has led us towards a balance between performance, maternal function with attention to the overall structure that ultimately leads us to a cow with that “Angus” look. This crop of bred heifers has been impressive right from the start and couldn’t be happier to share it with you as well as the bulls we’ve chosen to mate these heifers too, they follow suit in our breeding goals. The bred females were ultrasound pregnancy checked by Dr. Tyson Buyer of Bovigen on August 19th. We did keep a close eye on the heifers during the breeding season but there are any questions with parentage of resulting calves we will look after the cost of the DNA. We invite you to stop at the farm prior to sale day to go through the cattle at your leisure on a one on one basis. If you are able to join for our event, the sale offering will be on display at the farm until sale time. We will be hosting the sale at the Kenosee Inn just a few minutes away where will have supper and hospitality. The heifers will have videos done on November 21st, weather permitting and will be posted online within a few days. We would like to thank all who have helped put this event on, your efforts are always appreciated. Shane Castle and Mark Forsyth of Castlerock Marketing both know our program very well and would be glad to give you an honest, straight forward opinion regarding the sale cattle on our behalf. Mark Holowaychuk will also be consulting so feel free to contact him as well. Please do not hesistate to call Erika, Nolan or myself if we can clarify any questions you may have.
We hope to see you at Agribition, Nolan will have our Lot 1 bred heifer as well as our lead off heifer calf in the purebred barn. Erika and myself will be available in the Commercial barn in the Yards display consisting of a few more sale heifers and a pen of bulls.
We do realize that with the close date to Christmas from our sale we are offering to house your purchase(s) until after the holiday season and arrange delivery to a central location.
We hope to see you December 18th!
Take care,
Dale, Shelly and Erika Easton Nolan Glover Herdsman
Welcome from Castlerock
The Eastondale Angus “Part of the Program” promises to be an exciting! With the 2023 crop of the bred heifers being offered in its entirety the door is wide open to access what was retained as “Part of the Program”. From the first time seeing this set of calves on grass in the spring of 2023 it was evident how special they were, one pair after another throughout the pastures would just bring a smile to anyone. This offering represents over 80 years of breeding registered cattle and from that the Eastondale cattle have a type that has been selected for. As you go through the book that type becomes evident. Fortunate to have been able to work with the Easton family for over 20 years and knowing the cows that are the third and fourth generation back of the females selling on December 18th. There is a lot of cow power that has been harnessed including a number of cows that are still in production as teenage cows.
Be sure to visit with Dale and Nolan regarding this deep offering of bred heifers as well as a select set of heifer calves that are on offer as well, they are extremely proud of this set. “Part of the Program” also includes access to a couple of donors in 85Z and 91C who have a great track record in their production and offer some exciting mating options to build on!
We at Castlerock know this program inside and out and welcome the opportunity to discuss with you at length their qualities, be sure to give us a call!
See you sale day!
Shane Castle

Two maternal brothers have sold through the annual bull sale. Bred AI May 19th to HF Pro Star 97L. Exposed May 28th to July 8th to Eastondale Endurance 196’23. Dam of these maternal sisters was purchased from 66 Ranch as an open heifer calf. 6 maternal brothers have sold to commercial producers with a $8000 average from 2015 to present. A Duplicate son worked in the HS Angus herd at Invermay. 1L is a moderate, deep sided, well-balanced female, so much like her dam.
Bred AI May 25th to HF Pro Star 97L. Favorable safe to AI. Exposed May 28th to July 8th to Brandy’s Black Tie 211L. 62L, the ET daughter of U2 Coalition 206C would normally not be offered but in a year where we are offering our whole bred heifer crop, here she is!! 62L is long sided and has the look of a mother cow now.

Again, 46L would not be offered in a normal year. Bred AI May 5th to HF Reverence 23K. Favorable to AI service. Exposed May 28th to July 8th to Brandy’s Black Tie 211L. 12L is an extremely pleasing BC Robust daughter. Her dam has been an outstanding member of our valued Cassie cow family who is sired by none other than Coleman Charlo. 12L is moderate, easy fleshing and extremely pleasing to the eye. Exposed May 28th to July 8th to Brandy’s Black Tie 211L. Due early March.

An outstanding pair of U2 Coalition 343F daughters. The dam of 33L is VK 19U, she has had 15 natural calves to date and is bred up to have her 16th this coming calving season. Bred AI May 6th to Ellingson Badlands 0285. Favorable to AI. Exposed May 28th to July 8th to Brandy’s Black Tie 211L. A natural sale partner for Lot 4A is 47L. A typical daughter of U2 Coalition 343F again out of a beautiful cow who is a Density daughter who was the high selling female purchased in the Black Creek Dispersal in 2022. This female has an outstanding granddam who Black Creek purchased from us privately as a bred heifer. We were able to purchase her back in their dispersal sale as well. She is coming 12 years old and looks like she is six.
Bred AI May 10th to Ellingson Badlands 0285. Favorable to AI. Exposed May 28th to July 8th to Brandy’s Black Tie
Moderate made but has the beautiful BC Robust pattern. Her dam is our current donor dam sired by Crowfoot Equation, who will have embryo choices on offer in this sale. A maternal brother to this female sold to Scott Stock Farm in our bull sale for $28,000. Ask Jon how this bull is working out!

A beautiful made Spades daughter whose dam was a female that went on offer in our 2020 production sale, and we were able to retain in the choice selection. A maternal sister to this female was the high selling female in the 2022 Keystone Klassic sale in Brandon selling to Brandy Lane Cattle Corp for $9500. She went on to raise Brandy’s Black Tie 211L who we purchased back and are showing this fall. Look for him and his outstanding foot in the stall at Agribition. This female is a carbon copy of her beautiful dam. This female’s granddam was flushed last year at the age of 14 years with two successful flushes. Watch for two outstanding Crowfoot Equation daughters in our herd in the future.

37L is one of my personal favorites in our offering. This HF Roper daughter is thick from every angle but still has an elegant female appearance in her front end. Her dam is a beautiful young female with one of the best udders on the place. She may have a later service but should not be overlooked.
Bred AI May 13th to HF Reverence 23K. Exposed May 28th to July 8th to Eastondale Endurance 196’23. Observed bred June 2nd. Our last Pairing of heifers in our offering this year. 88L is a very nice Rito 7175 daughter out of a very hard working, productive Laramie daughter. These 7175 daughters we have working in the herd now are unassuming, hardworking females.

A stout made; powerful female sired by Sterling Pacific 904. This young female has cow written all over her. Her dam is one of our best Rito 7175 daughters out of our Gammer cow family that has become a cornerstone cow family here!
An outstanding open heifer calf with style and a special look to her. Almost a March female, in a normal year she would have been, with a 750lb 205 adj weaning weight. Her sire was an exceptionally good U2 Temptation son out of one of our best cows, before he went on to one of our commercial customers.

Dyna Lass 140’13 is the dam of Endurance, the yearling bull that sold through our 2016 bull sale to the Lorenz Family of Innisfail, Alberta. He has done a very nice job for them siring calving ease and structurally correct cattle. We have used Endurance in our herd, and they have been extremely well received by our good commercial bull customers. A daughter was purchased as a heifer calf by Hamilton Farms and has gone on to work very well in their program! Her first bull calf was a $25,000 bull in their bull sale named HF Two Wraps going to Forbes Ranch. In the fall of 2022 we offered a Bravo daughter out of the much heralded Duchess cow family where she was a sale feature selected by Brandy Lane Cattle Co. Fall of 2023 we offered to take Black Tie out to a few shows as we were so impressed with his style, structure and overall balance which ended in bringing him to Eastondale to run on a set of heifers this spring. This past fall at the Brandon Ag Ex we exhibited Black Tie again where he was Reserve Junior Champion Bull. Maternally speaking this guy has all the right pieces to make his daughters highly guarded daughters in time.
