Around the Town Club
We're back! It's time for us to go back in the community. Join us for a night on the town! This social club utilizes community activities which are selected by the group to improve socialization, leisure awareness and independent living skills. Try new things and explore your community with the support and encouragement of friendly, knowledgeable staff.
The first night of program will be held at the Camden Community Center. Location thereafter varies based on participants chosen activities. Members must be able to participate within a 1:6 staff to participant ratio and be independent with their personal care needs. Please note: registration fee covers staffing costs only. Additional fees may be required based on chosen activities. Masks will be strongly recommended when at the community center.
Camden Fun Club
Join us for a fun comprehensive activity that covers multiple activities such as: board games, karaoke, dancing, arts and crafts, and sensory science fun! Participants must be 16 or older and be accompanied by a caregiver or be able to function independently.

Dance for Fun (Inclusive)
Come join us for some fun group dancing! Enjoy a new theme every week, with an open dance studio to dance your heart out! There is no right way to dance, so put on your dancing shoes and let's get up and dance together! This program focuses on fun with music, games, arts and crafts, movement activities, and a field trip. This play program is designed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Children should bring a sack lunch to class each week. Attendants will be required to pass a City of San Jose background check in programs that serve youth under 18 years of age.

Join us as we have an hour worth of fun packed activities and art crafts. We will switch on and off with planned activities per each session day. HIRLN: Kelley Park Art 'n Hike
HIRLN (Head Injury Recreation and Leisure Network) invites you to join us for a hike and art craft at Kelley Park! Join us for a guided tour by a city park ranger to show participants around Kelley Park by talking about the history, animals, plants, and more. We will also partake in a fun craft after the hike. Participants are recommended to wear comfortable walking attire and footwear along with a bottle of water.

This introductory course for individuals with disabilities (ages 16+) This course covers basic kitchen safety, basic menu planning, and preparing simple dishes. Class is conducted in a teaching kitchen which utilizes gas burners.

Got the notion to get yourself into motion? Join us on Zoom to partake in an online exercise class with each class time being different. We will work on upper and lower body, balance, flexibility, and more all while encouraging participants. Wheelchair Basketball: Fundamentals
Come out and shoot some hoops with your friends while you learn the exciting sport of wheelchair basketball. You will learn new techniques, skills, and practice drills. All ability levels welcome. Don't miss out! Participants must be able to function in a 1:10 staff to participant ratio, and independent with personal care needs.
All ability levels welcome and we have extra chairs on a first come first serve basis. This class is designed for manual wheelchair users. This class is on Wednesday.

Wheelchair Basketball: Competition
Looking to take Wheelchair basketball to the next level? Join our competition class, this is for individuals looking for more of a challenge and are looking to be apart of the competitive team. Tournament opportunities are available for big gamers. Don't miss out! Participants must be able to function in a 1:10 staff to participant ratio, and independent with personal care needs.
All ability levels welcome and we have extra chairs on a first come first serve basis. This class is designed for manual wheelchair users. This class is on Wednesdays for 5 weeks.

Diabetes Camp Type 1
This collaborative day camp program is provided by the City of San José's Therapeutic Services and California Diabetes Association. There will be fun activities, outings, games, crafts, and diabetes education. Parental/guardian education meetings available as needed. Nursing staff will be on site to help monitor blood sugars and provide education to participants and families.

Wheelchair Sports and Recreation Camp (Inclusive)
Join us for a fun summer as we learn to play a variety of wheelchair sports activities, engage in arts and crafts, play social games, hang out with friends, and go on field trips. Camp will include introductory and intermediate instructions in wheelchair sports for individuals with physical disabilities. There will be hand-on DIY arts and crafts where individuals get to explore their creativity side. *Participants must be able to function in a 1:4 staff to participant ratio, independent with personal care needs or provide an attendant for personal care.

Program Information
R.O.C.K. Afterschool is available Monday-Friday on school campuses from the time school is dismissed until 6 p.m., except school holidays, breaks, and inservice days.
Payment Options
R.O.C.K. Afterschool payment options include a one-time payment in full or quarterly or monthly auto pay. A Punch Pass for 10 site visits to R.O.C.K. will also be available for students. Scholarships are available for those who qualify; awarded as funding is available. Please contact your local community center for information about scholarship opportunities.
R.O.C.K. Afterschool is a license-exempt program.
