It's springtime and that can mean only one thing, it's time to register for our new spring classes If you think your child wants to be an architect, they will love our city skyline lesson Learning to develop and apply patterns is the focus as our artists venture out into the wild as they create an intricate zebra drawing. Later, our students will learn about cool and warm colors with the patterned flowers lesson and realism with the tower bridge and our art history lesson focusing on Gustave Klimt. Of course, it wouldn't be spring without a drawing of new baby bunnies and a fawn Hurry and register!

This Young Rembrandts workshop is full of possibilities! Join us for five days of pastel fun as we learn about a new medium and explore art history by studying different artists and their work Each day we will create one large drawing in pastel chalks We will create wonderful artwork while being inspired by Edvard Munch’s The Scream, Pablo Picasso's Woman in Hat, Vincent Van Gogh’s Chair, Wassily Kandinsky’s Bavarian Market Square and Claude Monet’s Regatta at Argenteuil The daily results will be truly frame-able! No experience necessary Please wear an old shirt or smock to class each day.

Keep your preschoolers warm and engaged during the cold winter months There’s no place warmer and more artistically engaging than a Young Rembrandts classroom Warm thoughts will dance through your preschooler’s imagination as they draw our colorful hat and mittens lesson in the month of January. A drawing of a mouthwatering pizza and the cutest duck this side of Swan Lake will bring out the artistic mastery in your preschooler out in February In March, things will start to warm up with the cutest puppy. The warm colors in our parrot drawing and pirate ship lesson will have you setting sails for the Caribbean This winter, expand your preschooler’s creative horizons with a Young Rembrandts class.

Join us at F.I.T. Camp, a weeklong camp where your kids will develop a balanced approach of knowledge, skills, and confidence to be physically active for a lifetime! Campers will learn healthy habits from our leaders who use an evidence-based curriculum. This summer, your kids will build friendships, grow their confidence, and benefit from outdoor activities. Price includes a low leader-to-child ratio of 1:10, a F.I.T. Camp shirt, skill building, new friendships, disguised learning, and much more!
Campers need to bring water, lunch*, and sunscreen each day. *Check with your local community center for information on lunch programs, scholarships, and payment plans. Each F.I.T. Camp session runs for 1 week.

2023 CAMP SAN JOSÉ JR.
At Camp San Jose Jr., your child will participate in an unforgettable summer camp! We combine camp traditions with a wide variety of enrichment and educational activities. Children will have the opportunity to create cool art projects, play games and, sing funny songs while ensuring CDC safety measures. Camp San Jose Jr. includes skill-building, making new friendships, and much more! Campers need to bring water, lunch, and sunscreen each day. Each Camp San Jose Jr. session runs for one (1) week.

HIRLN (Head Injury Recreation and Leisure Network) wants you to join us for a fun night at San Pedro Square Market to partake in dining out with friends and watching the local Sharks game on the big screen We will decide as a group which eatery to dine on Drop off and pick up will be determined closer to event date Please register in advance either on-line or in-person at nearest community center. Participants must be able to participate in a 1:8 participant to staff ratio and be able to attend to their own personal care needs or have an attendant with them. VIRTUAL MUSIC MONDAY
Love to listen to music? Join us on Zoom where each night will feature a different music genre or theme such as 2010 Pop, Rock, and many more. We can listen, sing, dance, and chat all about music. Participants will be able to requests songs via email or chat. This program is designed for adults with disabilities but, anyone may join.

This collaborative day camp program is provided by the City of San Jose's Therapeutic Services and California Diabetes Association. There will be fun activities, outings, games, crafts, and diabetes education. Nursing staff will be on site to help monitor blood sugars and provide education to participants and families. Every summer, Breathe California offers Camp Superstuff, a week-long day camp held within the region served by Breathe California of the Bay Area This year, the City of San Jose, Mayfair Community Center, is partnering with Breathe California to offer Camp Superstuff This camp is designed for children 6-12 suffering from asthma, Camp Superstuff blends asthma education curriculum with traditional summer camp activities. This year's camp is being planned as a hybrid camp with both online and in-person activities.

This program offers children between the ages of 3 to 5 years old an educational and recreational experience This program supports children's imaginative, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development The San José Recreation Preschool Program prepares students for kindergarten success in a safe and welcoming environment
KINDERPREP
This class prepares your child for kindergarten with age-appropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills, and fun! Your child will gain a basic understanding of shapes, colors, pre-phonics, literacy building (i e identifying letter sounds, writing the alphabet, and simple words), number recognition, and counting up to 30 The goal is to have fun, participate, and learn Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class Requirements for parent participation will vary by center
LITTLE LEARNERS
Children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, structured playtime, and simple learning concepts. Children will work on hand-eye coordination and motor skills while gaining independence through circle time, music, songs, stories, play, and arts & crafts. Food will be provided for cooking activities and may be provided for special events. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted. All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class. Requirements for parent participation will vary by center.

Co-Ed Non-Competitive Division is for players who have little or no basketball experience and would benefit from participation in a structured program, with a focus on skills development, basketball fundamentals and structured games time. Practices will be held on Saturdays 30 minutes before their game. The games are two (2) fifteen minutes running halves, with each team member playing 10+ minutes per game
