WINTER CLASSES

ARTS & CRAFTS

Elementary Drawing

Experience the colorful magic of fall in the Young Rembrandts classroom. Kick off the season with an interesting Iguana, a video game favorite Pixel Block Character and the geometrical world of architecture as we draw the Notre Dame Cathedral. Later, students will immerse themselves in the seasonal spirit as they learn still life technique of pumpkins, draw a detailed Scarecrow, and draw a silly but challenging Patterned Bat. Finally, get ready for winter as we turn out a “sweet” drawing of a gingerbread house (almost good enough to eat!). We’ll draw these (and many more exciting lessons!) while we improve creative and critical thinking skills today’s students need.

Pastel Drawing - Passport to Pastels Grab your passport and join us for days of adventurous fun as we explore many “locations” and experience a new medium, pastels. In our imaginations, we will travel to different locales to inspire each day’s pastel creation. Included locations are a cityscape, the Swiss Alps and a tropical scene full of color. Each day, we will create a 12 x 18 drawing in pastel chalks. A frame will be the proper place for display! No experience necessary. Please wear an old shirt or smock to class each day.

Cartoon Anime

What runs from ear-to-ear and is contagious? Give up? It’s the SMILE your child will have as they get to explore the fun, artistic world of Young Rembrandts cartooning! Your child will laugh and learn while drawing our fun superhero expressions lesson in the month of January. Then in February, our students will jump for joy and spring into action with our heroic unlikely hero’s lesson. Then there’s no better way to prepare for spring than with our bird vs. worm drawing sequence. There’s no better time than now to sign up your child to have fun, be challenged artistically, and to create amazing pieces of artwork. Sign up today!

Keep your preschoolers warm and engaged during the cold winter months. There’s no place warmer and more artistically engaging than a Young Rembrandts classroom. Warm thoughts will dance through your preschooler’s imagination as they draw our colorful hat and mittens lesson in the month of January. A drawing of a mouthwatering pizza and the cutest duck this side of Swan Lake will bring out the artistic mastery in your preschooler out in February. In March, things will start to warm up with the cutest puppy. The warm colors in our parrot drawing and pirate ship lesson will have you setting sails for the Caribbean. This winter, expand your preschooler’s creative horizons with a Young Rembrandts class.
