CAMPS Almaden Lake Spring Adventure Camp

Skyhawks Beach Volleyball

Go on a fun adventure with us this spring at Almaden Lake Park! Campers will enjoy an outdoor recreation experience filled with science & nature exploration! Campers will enjoy hiking trails and special enrichment activities, while learning about animals and the environment, all while making friends.

Skyhawks Beach Volleyball takes the energy and excitement of this great team sport and puts it all together into one fun-filled program. All aspects of the game are taught through drills and exercises that focus on bumping, setting, spiking, hitting and serving. This class is designed for the beginning to intermediate player.

LEISURE CLASSES

Time

Participants will learn about the proper procedures when gardening. This will involve prepping, things to keep in mind based on the seasons and plants/vegetables they are growing, maintenance that takes place after planting, and more about the insects that may pollinate/harm your plant. After learning how to garden effectively to get optimal results, participants will be able to put their skills and knowledge into practice by planting seasonal flowers! Participants will also be given a chance to create fun additions to their planter such as rock painting that they will get to take home!

Grow Your Own Herbs

Come on down for some good ol’ outdoor fun on Emma's Farm! Spring Outdoor Adventure Camp at Emma Prusch Farm offers kids a unique opportunity to learn about nature and experience life on the farm. Each day campers will grow and harvest vegetables, play games, create arts & crafts, and, best of all, get to help take care of Emma's resident animals! Camp participants must bring their own cold lunch, snacks, drinks, water bottles, and wear comfortable shoes, and sunscreen every day. Camp will be located at Emma Prusch Farm Park.

Learn how to grow your own herbs (rosemary, basil, thyme, dill, cilantro) at home to save money and promote sustainability.

CAMP Camp San Jose Jr. At Camp San Jose Jr. your child will participate in an unforgettable summer camp! We combine camp traditions with a wide variety of enrichment and educational activities. Zookeepers in the Making Camp

The worlds of myth, folklore, fantasy & fairy tales are full of animal-based creatures that we will discover, unearth & design. Fantastical beasts, crazy chimeras & other legendary creatures will inspire us through our classroom, park & zoo explorations in this summer camp experience.

Campers get to experience the behind-the-scenes thrills of zookeeping as they learn about the animals, clean enclosures, help create diets & discover animal training. This hands-on week blends real-world experience in with the games, crafts, activities, tours & animal encounters that make Happy Hollow Camps so special.

LAKE CUNNINGHAM ACTION SPORTS PARK

SUMMER 2024

CAMP Action Sports Summer Camp Join us this summer for an exciting outdoor adventure at the Lake Cunningham Action Sports Park. The Action Sports Park is the largest complex in America with diverse skill level riding features for skaters and BMX riders as well as scooters, roller skating and roller blading. The Park features the world’s largest full pipe and world’s tallest vertical wall along with mini bowls, a street course, rails and more! The bike park portion consists of a dual slalom track, beginner & advanced pump track, plus dirt jumps with slope style features. Weekly summer sessions are being offered for beginner level riders ages 6 – 13 years old. Instructional skateboarding, BMX, dirt jumping, and scootering lessons will also be offered. Campers will also have the opportunity to explore the broader Regional Park and its many offerings for group games and tons of fun activities! We're looking forward to showing you everything this unique park has to offer. Camp participants must bring their own cold lunch, snacks, drinks, water bottles, and wear comfortable shoes. Action Sports Park has a pro shop with snacks for sale that is separate from registration enrollment. Camp Sessions will provide: · Action Sports Equipment: various bike sizes/ styles, BMX and dirt jumpers, also skateboards and scooters. · Protective riding gear (helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards). Strongly recommend personal bike, skateboard, roller skates and/or scooters. Personal equipment cannot be stored on site. Equipment will need to be taken home at the end of the day. A camp FAQ sheet will be provided to all registered participants via email before the first day of camp with additional details.
