ELEMENTARY CARTOONING - YOUNG REMBRANDTS

Unleash your child's inner comic with Young Rembrandts’ cartoon drawing classes! Watch them master the art of exaggeration and facial expressions in our "Cold Faces" and "Dad Expressions" lessons. They’ll also bring to life cuddly polar bears and craft hilarious stories through sequential art, like our silly shaving series It’s a fantastic way to nurture their creativity and storytelling skills. Come join the fun! Students will have fun learning Ballet positions, warm-ups, and tap steps Correct technique and terms will be taught. If you have Manga Mania, sign up for this class Join Young Rembrandts for a 5 day drawing workshop; we’ll be drawing and coloring all things ANIME! A great beginner gymnastic class teaching basic gymnastic skills, including movement exploration, balance, and coordination, and at the same time teaching agility and improving motor skills Parents are allowed to stay for the first 10 minutes on the first day of class and are encouraged to attend the last class for a great recital

SAN JOSE RECREATION PRESCHOOL

DISCOVER LEARN PLAY

The San José Recreation Preschool program offers children, 3 to 5 year olds, and their families educational and recreational experiences that support their imaginative, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development Children prepare for kindergarten success in a safe and welcoming environment

KINDERPREP

This class prepares your child for kindergarten with age-appropriate activities, learning concepts, socialization skills, and fun Your child will gain a basic understanding of shapes, colors, pre-phonics, literacy building (i e identifying letter sounds, writing the alphabet and simple words), number recognition, and counting up to 30 The goal is to have fun, participate, and learn. Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted. All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class Requirements for parent participation will vary by center

LITTLE LEARNERS

Children will be introduced to socialization, positive self-esteem, following directions, and simple learning concepts Children will work on hand eye coordination and motor skills, while gaining independence through the use of circle time, music, songs, stories, play, arts and crafts Food will be provided for cooking activities and may be provided for special events Children must be able to use the restroom unassisted All children must have valid immunization records on file before the start of class. Requirements for parent participation will vary by center.

ACTIVE ADULTS 50+ FITNESS & HEALTH

YIN YOGA-MONDAY

Yin Yoga is the type of Yoga that is mellow, slow, and focuses on long held stretches on the floor and standing It focuses on range-of-motion (ROM) on the joints of the body In doing so, it energizes all the muscle groups and gives the joints the encouragement and ability to be fluid and flexible, enhancing mobility Perfect for inactive as well as active folks, as class members work at their own pace and their own ROM. No soreness after a session, relaxing and refreshing for both mind and body

PRESIDENT’S BREAK CAMP

At Camp San Jose, campers participate in an unforgettable day camp experience combining camp traditions with enrichment and educational activities. Campers play fun games, sports, create cool arts and crafts projects, and embark on weekly field trips

In this safe and supportive environment, campers participate in active and engaged learning projects, skill building, youth voice and leadership, and learn healthy choices and behaviors.

Price includes a low leader to camper ratio of 1:10, field trips*, a Camp San Jose shirt, and much more!

*Families opting not to participate in field trips are responsible for finding alternative care for their child(ren) not attending the trip The City will not provide a prorated refund for those that elect not to participate, nor will onsite care be available. Campers need to bring water, lunch and sunscreen each day.
